The best restaurants serving British food in Anderston / City Glasgow City Glasgow and Surrounding

Food was very disappointing and the venue looked a bit tired. Such a shame as the building is lovely and the previous establishment used to be good. The pictures/video seen on social media makes the venue look much better than it is. Very disappointing experience.

Very disappointed in the staff in this establishment. No manners what so ever. Very rude to paying customers! I took a service user out for lunch who is Autistic, after our lunch I asked the server for 2 "separate bills" so I can take recipes back to office. I was told in a horrible cheeky attitude " I should have told him it was going to be separate recipes before ordering. Where does this establishment advise this? No notice up! This caused my service user with Autism to be very distressed. I definitely won't be back and will be telling everyone else not to come here. Teach your staff manners towards customers!

Food is good and is nice having all the macros but service is absolutely shocking, took 20 minutes to take our order and then had to wait a while for food. We went up and asked for the bill as no one had came over for a while and they told us to sit and someone would bring it. After 10 minutes of no one coming we had to ask again and wait on someone coming over with it.

Vinimos aquí para una comida familiar en nuestra última noche en Glasgow, decidimos tener el trato chateaubriand, la carne era perfectamente rara y la textura era maravillosamente tierna. También estaba bien condimentado con un buen tirón en el exterior, un corte de carne realmente delicioso. Las patatas fritas y la salsa también eran muy buenas, y un miembro de nuestro grupo consiguió la bouillabaisse en su lugar, y se dice que era excelente. En resumen, la comida es deliciosa y de alta calidad, pero los precios son muy altos, definitivamente para un placer ocasional.

We last ate here many years ago and loved it. So glad it has not changed. The food was delicious and our waitress Suzanne was lovely. We'll definitely return and can highly recommend the Red Onion

Went in for pre-drinks before a Christmas party night elsewhere & was very pleasantly surprised. The bar has a lovely feel, it was quiet where you could talk & a pianist playing music in the background to break any silences. Drinks aren't the cheapest but considering its location, I wasn't sure what to expect but I would certainly have no hesitation in going back.

One of the worst managers I've ever witnessed!!!

No bad pub despite Greene kings attempt to turn it into a sports bar & unsympathetic refurb of the lounge, Guinness under £5 in the west end is not to be sniffed at, though the tumblers smell like they've been dried with same cloth used on a wet dog!, get it sorted or I'll insist on bringing my own glass.

Great service and really made to feel welcomed! Massive shout out to James (I think) we had a right laugh in there, really enjoyed the game and atmosphere!

Very tasty food a new place a gift from a friend.

Nice traditional pub hidden away on a side street. Looks like a small place from the outside but it's actually deceptively large! Standard draught pint selection at reasonable prices. It's a Bellhaven chain so nothing out of the ordinary but still has a bit of character about it. Good place for watching sports with plenty of TV's around the place and a good amount of seating.

we have been here a few times & the food is beautiful as is the presentation. However the tables for 2 are ridiculously small if you have anything other than 2 plates you have no chance of being able to move an inch.

Can't comment on food. Plenty on offer in terms of pints. Especially for the beer afficionado. I attended a comedy show as part of the Glasgow Comedy Festival and felt it had a good atmosphere.
