A hidden gem tucked away in the middle of Glasgow with the best tapas I’ve ever had! Lots of options to choose from and also dog friendly. Lovely atmosphere, decor was super cool.

I recently stumbled across this restaurant online and the food is on point. A bit more chicken and chorizo in the paella would be nice and an accurate account of our order would have helped (one tapas dish short). lt would have been nice if anyone read the notes and acknowledged it was my birthday. It makes me hesitate to bring my friend who has food allergies

Dined here on Saturday with two friends, lovely vibe, beautiful day, had the lamb and steak with chimi. Lamb was perfectly cooked, melt in the mouth, with an unctuous deep sauce, full of flavour. The steak was cooked to perfection with the verde, very enjoyable( chips should have been on the side as they were soggy) The rest of the party had cheese croquettes, meat balls and paella, all very good. We had a decent bottle of wine too. Staff very kind and professional, had a good banter. Overall would definitely come back.

We went there twice on vacation and ate and drank excellently. The service was incredibly dedicated and very friendly. We'll definitely be back!

Love this place as it has a chilling, laid back atmosphere. Cocktails always hit the spot. Tapas dishes are amazing. Very tasty with a good choice.

Overall excellent food, nice place and good value. We went on a Saturday at 5.00pm had to book it. The waitress apologised because our steak was a few minutes later than expected but to be honest it was perfect timing because we had 4 other dishes to try other than that it was overall it was a great meal, good service and nice atmosphere. Well done to the staff 👏

Family Party of 12 on a Sunday at 1.30 and the 3rd Time we had done so in the Last 2 Years. Private Room with Bar Downstairs is also for Hire with Toilets. Dog Friendly and Staff are Brilliant .. Great Variety of Plates as a Spanish Style Tapas Type Bar .. Food was Magnificent and Reasonably Priced. Everyone Ordered a Different Meal and some Sharing ensued .. my Steak Fuelvas was so good I refused to Share and all Plates were Cleared .. Deserts were Decimated immediately while more Spanish Beers and Bottled Coronas were Ordered and then Discussed the Next Possible gathering with Belfast + Glasgow Families .. 10/10

Never knew this place existed until last week. The food and cocktails did not disappoint. I'll be back.

We stumbled across this restaurant on an afternoon stroll whilst staying in Glasgow for a couple of nights for a gig. As we walked past I exclaimed that it looked nice and a gentleman walking past overheard me and said that they served the best tapas in Glasgow. Well, that sold it to me and we popped in to book a table for that evening. I would love to thank that gentleman so much, because we enjoyed some of the best and most authentic food and service ever! The lamb chillindron was to die for and the albondigas was fabulous. Bread - fresh as a daisy and delicious. Perfect Aperol spritz. Attentive & friendly, but not intrusive service. Very reasonable prices for a major city. It was so good we went back with a friend the following evening (without booking) and the young, enthusiastic waiting staff not only remembered us, they went out of their way to find a table for us (bear in mind, this was a Friday evening!). It's also a lovely location - great relaxed Mediterranean outdoor dining vibe but also cosy and vibrant inside. But it was the staff who made our experience so special. Genuinely lovely, people who are fantastic at what they do. Thank you so much! 😍

We (2 couples) had a great day here. It's been a while since we've been, I love this little corner of Virginia court it feels slightly continental and private, a great combo. Atmosphere and food still excellent. We were here from around 2 to 8pm and had a selection of small plates with plenty of wine and beer. Prices are very reasonable and the staff are lovely. Had to drop a star as our pizza never came with the food and we had to ask after finishing the rest of our meal but mishaps do happen and it was sorted quickly and without fuss. Well hopefully return more often now as we've been reminded of what a little gem it is in the midst of the fast food chain frenzy. Thanks

All in all I found the food to be very tasty and I would go back. I really liked the scallops and the hallomi. We had a nice meal. I didn’t find the service all that friendly though and it was particularly slow for drinks I felt.

Went there Sunday morning for their new Breakfast menu ! As usual food tastes amazing ! I had the Strapsada Eggs on sourdough bread it was absolutely delicious ! The place is so cosy and the staff as sweet and attentive as can be ! Had also a few capuccino YUM !

Such a great find. Awesome space and atmosphere. Food is delicious, fresh and full of flavour. Chef knows what he is doing! The desserts are some of the best I've had in Glasgow again super fresh ! Brutti now do breakfast and they are unreal! Cocktails are great too, staff know how to balance flavours and can easily offer recommendations. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff and some great events running ! Great outdoor space for those rare sunny days!

Had a fab breakfast, good quality food and great service. Sourdough was amazing with smashed avocado and poached egg on tattie scone stack was perfect!

Just nipped in for a quick bite of lunch, was impressed in quality of food I had a lamb dish and patatas bravas very good my wife had an aubergine dish, I can't spell it at moment and calimari also excellent, wine by the glass at a reasonable price.

Food expensive and far too salty. Too much ice in cocktails still full glass of ice even when drink was finished. Staff were friendly and the place was nice which were their only savings graces.

Nice place, but the smell from the kitchen goes all over your clothes, hair etc. And it's not that nice! Apart of that all it's ok.

We had just arrived in Glasgow. Spotted Brutti Compadres and continued with our exploration. A few hours later we return horrified at the idea of having to eat in a Chain restaurant. The food is fabulous. Not too much on the menu. Not trying to be clever. Everything perfectly cooked. Stornoway Black Pudding, Chorizo and Scallops absolutely amazing. Albondigas the best I've ever had. Seriously, I cannot think that I've had food this good in Spain. I can't wait to come back to Glasgow.

We've walked past here many times, but always on the way to somewhere else. So glad we stopped on Easter Sunday 🙂 The sun was actually shining, so we sat outside. We shared the scallop special and 'angry' prawns - absolutely delicious, bread was needed to mop up the yumma sauces. And then we shared a pizzette - also delicious. Bobby - with his wonderful waxed moustache - was absolutely charming. We'll definitely be back!

Work night out with around 50 people and everything from the food to the service was absolutely outstanding. The staff couldn't be friendlier, the choices on the menu and drinks ensures there's something for everyone's taste. We will definitely be back!

Loved this place! We didn't have any drinks (which looked delicious) but my family and I (including two small children) were warmly welcomed and the food was awesome. My kids really liked the nachos and pizza, and I really appreciated how they served smaller portions of paella. Shrimp were also really nice, but not as good as the other dishes (more a compliment of the others, than a slam on the shrimp). This was one of our best meals during our two week trip to the UK/Scotland.

A truly excellent hidden gem in Glasgow. It's of the beaten path a little, but well worth seeking out. The plates were excellent, from the peaceful prawns (which is hilarious) to the tiramisu (which I think is the best I've had in the UK). Went for a few of their cocktail nights, too, and all the staff are awesome, not just friendly but knowledgeable and accommodating. We had a food allergy and they steered us to the ideal options and gave us several evenings to remember so far

Had a great lunch yesterday at Brutti Compadres. The aperol spritz was the best (& strongest!) I've ever had, thanks to the fab barmaid! The food was lovely. I had the festive special of Portuguese sardine pate (& left clutching the recipe, thanks to the chef!) & the Milano Brutti bread. My friend had chicken & chorizo paella, halloumi & chickpea stew and haggis bonbons. And the white rioja was pretty good too! Great place, great food & great staff 👏

Warm welcome and lovely attentive staff. Great choice of tapas - all delicious and perfectly cooked. Superb cocktails, knowledgeably described. Truly a fab, Spanish experience (from one who lived in Spain for 5 years!)

Really delicious tapas restaurant. Portions are slightly on the smaller side but definitely enough. I recommend around 3/4 tapas per person to really make the most of your experience. The atmosphere is so cosy and romantic. We spend around £20pp and I absolutely loved it!!

The positives were that the food was good when it came and the prices were reasonable, particular highlight was the halloumi and chickpea stew. The negative was that the service was really slow, we were sat for over 30 minutes without someone taking our food order, while theyd served another group who came in after us, so I had to go up to the bar to order. The food was fairly slow coming out as well and I again had to go up to the bar to get someone to bring over the bill.

Making a reservation was easy, on arrival the staff were super pleasant as they had been on the phone. Bit surprised the kitchen stopped making food at 8pm - so we had under 30 mins to get any orders in. Being tapas, this was a bit limiting. The paella was well done as was the halloumi, but other food was dissapointing, the wrinkled potatoes were saltier than a heaping bowl of salt... and others (squid, meatballs) were also cold and lacking flavour (though thankfully less salty). We were hungry and the kitchen was closed swiftly after our food arrived so we just ate. The service was very good but wouldn't rush back for the food, maybe stick with the cocktails.

Quality of food was excellent and portions were bigger than I expected. Not cheap but it's worth it.

Was in here today with family for my Granddaughter's 18th birthday. Its the first time I've been in and I loved it. We all thoroughly enjoyed it. Food was amazing, staff were friendly and service was really good too. We had arranged a birthday dessert with candle and when they brought it out they even had a card for her. Such a lovely touch. Will definitely be back. Would highly recommend it.

Popped in for a pre dinner drink, service was extremely slow, 18 mins to get 3 drinks from a bar 15m away. Choice of drinks was also poor with only imported rums available. Certainly not the welcome you would expect from a higher end Glasgow eaterie. Prices were very high given the limited choice, and had our dinner booking

Been here loads of times and never dissapoints. All dishes are reslly good and decent value for money. Friendly staff.

Although we were not greeted very friendly, overall the staff was ok. First round of tapas was tasty, but second round was a disappointment. Chorizo way too greasy and croquettes were lacking flavour. Would not go back.

Stopped by for a lovely pint and some snacks whilst in the area, lovely place, very colourful, tidy and very nice inside, staff well dressed and very polite, it’s all I ask for in a bar. Prices not too bad 👍🏻

Had a wonderful dinner here on the outside patio! Staff were attentive, friendly and even gave us a special wee drink as it was a big anniversary for us. Food was deeelish and I've woken up wanting more. Chicken and chorizo paella was the best we ever tasted!

Attended with a friend for a late night meal. Service was fine and staff polite but the octopus and potatoes arrived cold at the table. The same with the lamb skewer. The staff took it away to be redone but remarkably the octopus came back freezing! I was unsure what was happening so I returned it. The black pudding was also very greasy. On the whole despite the staff being polite and professional the whole eating experience was very poor and not close to what was expected. The staff did remove a few items from the bill!

Came upon this restaurant by chance. Warmly greeted by the staff. Excellent choice of tapas but some of the dishes are sufficient on their own for anyone with a smaller appetite. The wine was very reasonably priced for a city restaurant. The staff took time to explain all the dishes and the food that we had could not be faulted. Highly recommended.

Very disappointed at food timing, dishes arrived sporadically and this Really impacted the experience. Difficult to enjoy your dinner when some are eating and others are not.

Best tapas in Glasgow. Great location, food, beer & wine. Highly recommend. Superb spot. We felt as if we had been transported to Spain. So authentic. The owners Stephen and Michael are wonderful hosts. Totally recommend a visit.

Food was really good, but it took a very long time to arrive (they were apologetic about this though) and the service wasn't great. Sat for 30 mins before we got our order taken (had to ask) and no follow up visits for extra drinks. Also had a bill problem that needed fixed.

Had a really lovely evening. The food was excellent - a beautiful variety of meaty tapas dishes. The steak one was absolutely outstanding - the chicken and chorizo paella was also very nice. Service was friendly, the cocktails delicious and we were treated to a glass of fizz as it was the start of of honeymoon! Warmly recommended!

This is my favourite place in Glasgow. The food is brilliant and good portion sizes for tapa. Loads of veggie options.Great selection of wine and cocktails. The atmosphere is buzzing. Finally to the owner and staff. They are the best!

An absolute hidden Gem. Yet in the heart of the city. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming. Staff are excellent at their job. Making sure that everything is 1st class . I have dined at Brutti compadres twice in last two months. Once with work colleagues and second with family. On both occasions I had a wonderful dining experience. Tapas style , with lots of choice. Definitely would recommend. I would feel comfortable going on my own, such is the welcoming feel.

Only visited to get out of a heavy rain shower but thoroughly enjoyed our food initially order 4 small plates before ordering 4 more because we enjoyed them so much! Great gin cocktails and lovely service too. Recommended.

Best tapas bar in Glasgow. Tucked away in Virgina Court. It has a good out door area that is still well protected from the elements. Food is tasty, cocktails are great, and the staff are always super friendly.

A very enjoyable evening. I have visited Brutti Compadres a few times and the food is consistently lovely, the service attentive and the atmosphere great. We'll come back soon.

Ordered bread to start. This came with main meal, or part of main meal. I appreciate that tapas all comes at different times but surely it should come one after the other; ours seemed to arrive at 10 minute intervals. But no, bread came with lamb skewers which were cold. Patatas bravas didn’t even show up but they tried to charge for them. Had to ask for the bill a couple of times also. Awful service. Won’t be back

Great outdoor space in the centre of Glasgow. Different food - ina good way - and delivered tapas style. Good range of beer and wines.

Portion sizes small. Too much time between different dishes arriving meaning items were cold by the time other items arrived. We’ve been before but never when the outside has been occupied. Far from happy with the dining experience today.

Great atmosphere and fantastic flavors. We ordered about five different small plates to share and they were all very good. Service was friendly, prices were nice, and one thing after another was surprisingly delicious. Easy walk to St Enochs and lots to do nearby.

Amazing tapas and service in the best hidden secret in Merchant City.

First time visit. Service was pretty slow. Waited at least a half hour for my starter which was just Bread , Oil & Vinegar. The Paella main followed reasonably quicker and was delicious. Try not to sit too near the door as the draught cuts through you. I would give it another try though.

The food was seriously tasty! We asked the waitress for her recommendations and she was bang on. The mixed chips with jalapeño cheesy sauce was delish as was the squid and meatballs 😋 great service and lovely place I’ll defo go back.

Great dog friendly restaurant with fantastic food. Kitchen seems to close quite early, so late sittings take that into consideration. Highly recommend the croquettes.

The food was absolutely excellent. Two young wait staff were on shift and it was VERY busy for a Thursday night. They were still friendly and attentive, also were so efficient at turning tables round. We had a lovely time.

Amazing dinner, they squeezed us in with 1/2hr notice over the phone. Atmosphere was amazing and food was served quick, hot and extremely flavoursome! Servers were very attentive as well.

Service was appalling. Single staff member was totally disinterested, couldn’t care less. Asked for Sauvignon Blanc was only offered some bland, tasteless ‘Spanish’ wine that I have never heard of. No alternative, no extolling of how this wine was good, no information about it at all. The wine was bland and tasteless a complete waste of money, as was the whole experience; the negative atmosphere, lack lustre decoration, total lack of customer interaction. Go to somewhere that gives a… and offers more than the ‘house white’!

Better for a drink as food not so good. Angry prawns? 2 slices of chillies on plate with 5 poor looking white prawns. Bacon and Cheese croquettes 3 on plate and certainly not freshly made. Unfortunately check your bill as charged more per item than on menu! Food is overpriced and not up to expectations.

Good food and service but very, very cold. It was hard to relax and enjoy our meal due to being so cold. Everyone at the table was frozen. Steel tables and window seats meant it was like dining in a refrigerator. I had planned to have a beer but could not bear to drink anything cold. If you run a hospitality business it should be welcoming, which I think includes keeping your guests comfortable enough to relax and not risk getting a chill. Came home and had to have a bath to warm up after being chilled for two hours. Worth a visit when the temperature rises, but give it a miss October to March unless you wrap up warm.

We were initially seated at the window and it was so cold we couldn't take our jackets off. Thankfully they had an alternative table further in the restaurant, when we moved those left behind at the window said they were frozen. However, the service and food were great - just watch for eating late at the kitchen closes at 9.15pm so we had to make quick decisions and couldn't order more small plates as planned. Would come back but would request a table away from the window.

I can’t complain about the food or the service. The staff were all lovely, but we were given an awful table, right next to the door. Every time someone came in or out we were hit with an icy blast. Despite having a curtain over...

On arrival we were told that there wasn’t a table available so we were sat at the bar and told they would find a table. (Even though we had booked). Around 15 minutes passed and we heard nothing and hadn’t been given any menus so I had to find a waitress to ask for some. We then had to ask someone to take our order and were told that there was a couple of items on the menu that were sold out. There was around 6 items sold out - including all the meat and poultry options, leaving very little available to actually order. We reluctantly made a decision and from there, the waitress came back at least 3 times to tell us that more of our order was also now sold out. We were really disappointed however we continued with the order. Our food took ages and when it eventually came, most of it was pretty much cold. By this point we had had enough and managed to find a waitress and asked for the bill immediately (all our food hadn’t even come at this point). We were not charged for the food that didn’t come however we were not offered any compensation or apology for our experience. It ruined what should have been a lovely birthday experience for my girlfriend at one of what was, our favourite restaurants. I don’t usually comment negatively on restaurants but our experience was so bad that I really felt I had to share this. I have emailed the manager last week and had no reply.

It's a really pleasant place. It is located in an atmospheric Virginia Court in a city centre, which makes it really easy to get to. The service was quick and efficient. We were served drinks within minutes from arriving. The food was tasty; however, potato dishes tasted as if they were reheated, not freshly prepared, which was a bit disappointing. The portions are not too big, so I would recommend at least 3 plates per person. Overall, it was a good night out. Thank you.
