Tuvimos una encantadora experiencia gastronómica en Aizle el viernes por la noche. La comida era excepcional , imaginativa y bien presentada. Disfrutamos especialmente de la croustada y el aperitivo de sarro de ternera , el pincho de vientre de cordero , el lomo de venado y los cursos de desiertos fueron excepcionales. El ambiente era agradable, ocupado, pero no ruidoso con espacio para la mesa. Y el servicio fue amable y atento. Volveremos.

Fantástico ambiente. Maravillosa selección de tés y tartas caseras, todas servidas en servicios de té antiguos que luego puede comprar si lo desea. De hecho, todo está a la venta a un precio negociable. Me encanta este lugar sin pretensiones escondido a pocos pasos del centro de la ciudad. Asegúrate de reservar. Uno de los mejores lugares de Edimburgo.

An outstanding dining experience from start to finish

Had an incredible Christmas lunch here. The food was exceptional, the service was amazing and all this well priced. It felt wholesome, will definitely come back

Really nice hotel in a great location. The rooms were nice and clean, and spacious too. The air conditioning/heating was really efficient, and the window opened a little if you needed some fresh air. The staff were really friendly, helpful and efficient. The food in the restaurant was really tasty too. I can recommend the Mac and Cheese! There's plenty of things within walking distance of the hotel, shops, bars and restaurants etc

Truly original, this is a great bar. No food, no music, just a great atmosphere.

Lovely link roll, sausages are delicious and latte perfect and great prices! Both the ladies behind the counter are so friendly and welcoming, definitely be back ☺️

A hidden gem….What a wonderful place! Friendly staff and amazing food. And for the ladies… the powder room is a must see.

We had a lovely time over lunch and breakfast and felt welcome and cared for. David the waiter in the bar was absolutely wonderful and super helpful making a special ocasión even more special. David was super friendly and made our stay in Scholar a delightful experience. He showed us the new menu and it is to be celebrated, loads of fresh tasty options served very promptly. Thanks

No problem with finding a table on a busy Saturday evening could of been a bigger table for 4 people, little cramped once the food arrived, sharing platter well presented and tasty, main course choices good ,friendly and helpful waitress.

Salimos de los caminos turísticos para probar estos rollos de salchichas. Vale la pena el tiempo y el esfuerzo. Pudín negro y haggis, cerdo tradicional y una carne picante se comieron entre los dos. Absolutamente delicioso. Bonitos rellenos gruesos y apretados. Nada de escatimar en las carnes. No demasiado grande, justo. 10 libras por tres, más que contento.

Absolutely fabulous. From the venue, the greeting, the decor, the food and the service, it could not have been better. Will be definitely be back.

We enjoyed afternoon tea in the afternoon. The large grounds were beautiful and green. All the cakes were beautiful, delicate, and delicious without being too sweet. The scone was crispy on the outside, moist on the inside, and firm throughout, with a grainy texture. It was cold from the beginning, so I wanted it to be served warm. The savory was quite good, and it wasn't too much and was the size that I could eat it all. Although it was a wonderful reception room with a nice view from the window, it was a disappointing shop. I made a reservation by entering my card number from the official website. When I tried to pay after finishing my meal on the day of the meal, I was told that it was not necessary. I thought I was paying by card that I entered on the website. Later, I received a double payment from the credit card company I entered. I contacted the hotel and store via email about 5-6 times, but there was no response. After consulting with my payment card company, I managed to get one charge stopped. What should I do if there is no response even though the amount is large? It's a shame considering it's a historic hotel and store. I had planned to go there next time I came to Edinburgh, but I decided against it. Please deal with the basics properly.
