This is a superb place to have a meal. Stunning outlook with beautiful views. Very upbeat, welcoming, friendly, professional service. Delicious food, beautifully presented. Extremely good value. And all cooked and served by the aspiring chefs and hospitality students at Forth Valley College. So happy to eat here and support young talent. Thanks to all. Also the restaurant manager who welcomed us in and was so upbeat, friendly and professional. An all round slick operation. Take a bow! 👏👏👏👏👏 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Absolutely fantastic restaurant, the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, the food was absolutely phenomenal, I would highly recommend the haggis. The selection of local ales was outstanding, with a few very nice IPA's and fun stouts like Engine Oil. The atmosphere is very pleasant and well suited.

Lovely small cafe and shop beside a large Cattle and Sheep Auction Market. They do all kinds of delicatessen foods to sell, plus Suki tea and tea pots. Food is good and simple with good cakes as well.

I cannot recommend this place enough we were here as part of a group and I have got to say the dinner was amongst the tastiest and well prepared food we have ever eaten. We had three courses and each was full of flavour we left smiling and stuffed. Massive thank you to the chefs Blad and Jack for their amazing food both nights of our stay. We couldn’t have been more happy with the quality. The dining room is a relaxed setting and the waiting staff are so helpful.

I had lunch here on Friday with friends, the service is the main thing that stood out for me. The ladies behind the bar were extremely friendly and helpful. Carla was very professional and efficient. Please pass on this review to the staff. Thank you Catherine Clark

A self serve café within the grounds of Stirling Castle, offering takeaway or sit-in opportunities. There are plenty of snack options, including a Kid’s Box at £6 which provides a choice of sandwiches, a treat, a piece of fruit and a drink. There are plenty of sandwiches and paninis for adults too and several hot dishes to choose from on display. In our experience there were plenty of staff on duty and the constant queue at the time was kept moving fairly quickly. We found a table in an area with vaulted ceilings, reminiscent of the Castle Kitchens, which added to the ambiance. The grandchildren had Kid’s Boxes, my wife and I had paninis which had tasty fillings, and we also had Americano coffees. The coffee was good enough to warrant a second cup for my wife and I along with a slice of lemon drizzle cake and a scone with cream and jam. All the food and drinks were good and the overall cost was just under £49 allowing for 10% discount as members of Historic Scotland. Toilets were clean but very compact for the size of the premises.

Went here for a lunch. The cafe has a pleasant aspect but lacks ambiance, in fact is more like a works canteen. The food is basic. I had soup and a sandwich which were basic in ingredients and presentation. Didn’t enjoy them. You also have to pay a minimum of £3 to park in order to eat there. No refunds given if you eat in the cafe.

Visited with my husband recently after receiving a hotel, spa and afternoon tea voucher for my 50th birthday. My husband suffers from a severe seafood/fish allergy and carries an epipen after being hospitalised in the past. This was explained to the staff who said that this "was a standard request and would not be an issue" After waiting over 30 minutes with no sign of our afternoon tea I asked a member of staff if there was any sign of our food and were told that our server that forgotten to order our afternoon and did we want to wait! I explained that we had received a gift voucher so we would have no choice but to wait. After another 15 minute wait our afternoon tea arrived. My husband who was starving by this point was just about to tuck into the savories when I detected a smell of fish. It transpired that there were 2 salmon tartlets which were also touching the sandwiches. I immediately removed them from the plate and took them to the server who confirmed that these were indeed salmon! What point of a seafood/fish allergy do they not get. I immediately asked to see the manager and he agreed that this was completely unacceptable. I did feel that some of the staff did not appreciate how serious this could have become if my husband had eaten one of these tartlets. We did not eat any of the afternoon tea after this as we simply could not take any chances. A refund was given but this definitely did put a dampner on what should have been a lovely birthday treat.

Breakfast is widely advertised as being available until 11.30am but should state subject to availability! I arrived at 10.55am Sunday morning looking forward to a full breakfast for myself and my husband. I waited in a queue for 15 mins only to be told “what’s left is in front of you and it will take too long to cook anymore, we’ve been busy” .I walked away in disgust. I did get the chance to speak to restaurant manager who was very apologetic , offered to get food cooked for us but the momentum had gone and wasn’t in the mood to be spoken to or served by the not so pleasant staff member ! If the staff were worth their salt someone should have alerted the queue that there wasn’t any breakfast left or should have notified kitchen staff more food was required. The restaurant certainly did not look busy nor the car park. When I say there was a queue I mean approximately 4 to 5 in front of me being served by a not so cheery staff member serving on her own until when I reached the hot food server another member of staff came out to help. I am a club member but will not be renewing my membership. If a business in this current economic climate can loose customers through rude staff and poor food quantity control then good luck to them. Four other customers behind me left the queue when they heard there was nothing left. It was the local May weekend, foresight should have prevailed and plenty breakfast items available. I understand food going to waste isn’t good either but surely if breakfast is being advertised until 11.30am then customers should be able to have it , even if it has to be cooked fresh! Gone are the days when the customer is king!
