Molly Malones in Stirling

Supposedly family friendly according to the website but the bouncer told us on the door 'no kids'. This was at 4.15pm on a Sunday so no way this place is 'family friendly'. I'd take the Greene King/Belhaven website with a pinch of salt and not trust any statements that their pubs are 'famiky friendly'

Nice small pub with live music every night. Snag a pint and some food. Good atmosphere and easy to walk to. Friendly atmosphere

Melissa was a delight. She was very confident & easy to chat with. A great member of staff. Well done! She is very much suited to customer service.

Brilliant staff always looking out for you, a great pint of Guinness and amazing music. A perfect evening, I’ll definitely be back!

Best pub in Stirling, singer 6 nights a week and quiz on a Friday. Staff are second to none especially Kirsty, they really do go out their way for every customer.

Visited last here at the weekend, food was epic, i had ordered the fish and chips and it was spot on. £3.90 for a Guinness and i must say it was the best pint i’ve ever had!! Would definitely recommend and we will be returning.

Love Molly s one best pubs in Stirling, I was in with friends a while back in February and met a lovely young bar member Lewis. (was his name). He went above & beyond for me helped with my drinks recommended some even found us a table.These little things helps make it a great night. Brilliant staff great atmosphere too. Definitely be back soon.

Atmosphere was phenomenal, nothing but the best service from bar staff, Lewis was looking after me all night and I must say what a well mannered, funny wee guy! Would definitely recommend to everyone.

Went in for the Fri night pub quiz and so glad we did. Dylan and Robbie were brilliant quiz masters, making it funny but professional. Lewis and Katey were fab behind the bar with their banter and always making sure we didn't wait too long for a drink. Would highly recommend and can't wait to go back.

Pop in for a few drinks, there was a live singer who was excellent and the atmosphere was fantastic.

Not over excited about this pub, perhaps it was the time of night I went 18:30 ….bar staff didn’t seem to interested in serving , more interested in chatting and playing, then actually serving. I had one pint then left . No real atmosphere in the place.

Have been to Molly’s a multiple times over the past few years. Always welcomed and looked after! The staff are fantastic and take great care with customers. Have witnessed Lewis take great care and attention with a booked table with customers that were deaf. Making sure they got exactly what they wanted! Nadine, Katey, Robbie and the rest of the staff are brilliant! They take time to chat and always make sure everything is as it should be!

Great atmosphere and friendly bar staff.

Visited a couple of weeks ago. Was very busy when I visited, and completely understand that makes things harder and more stressful on the staff. But attitude of the bar staff was dissapointing. There was an issue with the drink orders not going to bar from the app, and staff were very rude when we approached the bar to ask about our drinks. We were then only given some of the drinks we ordered and again staff rude when my aunt returned to bar a while later to ask about rest of our drinks.

Nice wee pub, bit loud but as I am an old fart I like music not television. Staff were friendly and prices were good.

Fun pub. Standard range of beers. Studenty atmosphere. Liver music and sort on tv. Nice little menu.

I've been here twice for a meal with the family while visiting our daughter at Sterling University. On both occasions we've had good service and the food is big prtions and tastes good while remaining good value. There's large TV's that were showing sports & also good background music. They have an open fire that make it a very cosy venue to relax at. Note: they can't add tips onto card when paying the bill, so if you do like to tip, take some cash. Highly Recommend.

Staffs approach to customers is atrocious. Went in on a Saturday for pub lunch, ordered through the app, only to be told in a condescending manner that the app doesn't send drinks to the bar. How is that my fault? I'm well aware it was busy due to it being a Saturday and the Rugby was on, but went up to the bar to advice we were missing a drink, to be told for a second time it's busy, you'll need to wait. At which point we'd been waiting nearly 40minutes for drinks. It's not our fault that it's busy and your systems don't work as intended, so don't take it out on the customers.

Went in on a Friday night out and this place was jumpin! Cracking atmosphere, great live music, brilliant bar staff and all round really friendly place! Will defo go back :)

Una necesidad absoluta si alguna vez estás en Stirling. Si todos los pueblos tuvieran un bar como este. Gran cerveza, grandiosa, música, gran ambiente, gran gente. Nadine fue increíble, terminó su turno e incluso vino a unirse a nosotros para ver la banda. Kirsty parecía que tenía todo funcionando sin problemas, pero con todo el personal del bar tan amable y cálido es probablemente bastante suave de todos modos. No recuerdo el nombre de la banda, pero eran brillantes también. Gracias chicos.

Siendo residente del centro de la ciudad de stirling durante 5 años, he pasado muchas buenas noches en Molly Malones. Sin embargo, recientemente tuvimos una experiencia bastante horrible con el personal muy grosero y un servicio terrible sin cuidado para los huéspedes. Afortunadamente Nadine (lo siento mucho si esto no es 100% exacto amén) era una estrella absoluta, ella rectificó las cosas cuando vio que sus colegas estaban siendo menos justos, aseguró hacer nuestra experiencia mejor y fue más allá para mí y mis amigos esa noche. Ella es un mérito absoluto para el equipo y un gran ejemplo de miembro del personal de la empresa. Gracias Nadine!! salvaste nuestra noche de ser realmente horrible xx

The Steak pie was top notch, good pint of Tennents lager ,staff was pleasant and prices were reasonable.

Just terrible service and food was horrible and burned! For 3 of us £45 was wasted! My photo says it all! Avoid like the plague!

Great place to come for a pint and a meal after a walk around Sterling.

Absolutely blown away by the service of a bleach haired young man, he had dyed his hair for mens mental health and kept coming by to check on us even though the pub was quickly filling up for the lunch rush. Seriously impressed by this as places that are ranked as the best bars in Europe don't get this right, keep it up!

Melissa was really helpful, she made my experience so much better - giving me straws, a plaster, sugar-free products etc…, when i wanted, in general she was really helpful.

First visit and nice staff with great vibe. They are marked down despite being Greeneking because they refuse to accept the Great British Pub card issued from Greeneking. I didn't make a fuss as the young lad was friendly. Just to clarify the head office do not agree. These vouchers are for food and drink. Accepted two minutes later in other pub by the same company So if the owner doesn't know there own head office policy it's a place to avoid

A very nice Irish pub that knows how to pour it's Guinness. The food available is genuinely quite good and it's sponsored Gaelic football team strives to be worthy of it.

The great bar had an amazing food The atmosphere was absolutely bouncing two agp Saturday. Seems to be a farmer's convention. Who were very ignorant. Bar staff were outstanding 😀

Place is ok, can get busy when music playing. Food basic, and not a great choice, but reasonable quality. Gents toilets are terrible, water everywhere, well I hope it's water, there must be a leak, but it's been like this for months, even after a refurbishment.

This was a typical pub style restaurant and bar. The beer on tap was cold and the food was fine. Not gourmet meals but it got the job done. Steak and Guinness pie was good not great hut you'd never know from my plate. Ate it all as I was pretty hungry. Best part of the experience was our server Caithlin. She was wonderful. Very customer service oriented and friendly. She allow us to sample the beers from the tap until we found the right one, and even gave us a souvenir glass to take home. In all it was a decent enough dining experience and Caithlin's service and professionalism is well worth noting. Ask for her at the table or bar and she'll take great care of you.

Lovely place to go , we were away for a weekend , the staff were so happy Kirsty who actually made us so welcome and so friendly towards us . The security were amazing asking if we were enjoying ourself first time any security have every asked this ( well done . Felt very safe and happy .

Popular busy Fri afternoon, two attentive attractive staff serving, nice Peroni on draught. Two mac cheese and chips tasted much better than the Glasgow pub with the same name. Prices standard, Clean toilets on floor level.

This place is great if your looking for good company, amazing staff and fun pub quizzes. The food is exceptional with Mac and cheese that melts in your mouth and sticky toffee pudding that is the perfect sweet treat to end a meal. Their Pub quizzes and theme nights are one of the best in Stirling with no other pub rivalling on Wednesday nights for good music and good company. Their array of Gins, Spirits, Beers, wines and other drink offers an option for everyone. The staff make the whole experience and are always on hand to help and serve. My go to in town, would highly recommend!

Not great... ordered a gin n tonic ..the glass had full red lipstick on the rim...showed the bartender. She asked "do you want a new one?"... seriously?! (She was going to dump it into another glass)... Bartenders do not smile. Talk look at you with blank looks....

Excellent decor/atmosphere, and sports on lots of TV screens. Busy Monday night with live Irish music from a solo guitarist playing popular traditional songs. Great food/drink service from Caitlin. Delicious thick juicy burger, perfect light crispy chips. Terrific pub.

Recommend by tour guide at Dewats facility yesterday. Called to make reservations was told all walk in. Walked in and open tables were reserved. Had to leave 4 person party was too large.

what was once a great pub has now lost all its friendlyness,atmosphere and character 7pm on a monday me and my gf and 4 others who we had just met were having a happy conversation were told to speak quieter just cos there was a staff meeting on the tables next to us on questioning this a rude staff member obviously showing off to the youg recruits rapidly told us finish drinks and go. really at 7pm in a pub ??? in 30 odd year of going to public houses and 10year + of using this one this was a first !! absolutely shocking tbh ....... reply ...........tone it down for people at same table ? really ???2 of us had one table other 4 had one table ,,,it was clearly stated to speak quieter for the benefit of your meeting which we protested about ,,,,and rightly so ,,you can try to twist it round towards us for our protest all you like but wont change the facts ,,the pub is a shadow of its former self .........reply just to clarify it wasnt actually me and gf that was asked to be quiet it was the other group on table next to us (fact) i could clearly hear everything being said in your meeting of 10/15 staff which doesnt set a great tone for a night in pub (fact)we protested as we felt THEY were being treated unfarely and we were engaging in there conversation.) ...it seems you are trying hard here to twist things in the direction of us the customer in order to mask the terrible customer service...

After a long day of travel, we were glad to have found this spot for drink and food. Our servers Lindsey, Allie were so helpful and friendly, acknowledged us right away despite how busy it was and gave us tips for our trip ahead. Food was hearty and delicious. We made sure to ask for the name of the chef - Annie. Live music at 8pm added the perfect atmosphere. Recommend ++

what was once a great pub has now lost all of its friendlyness,atmosphere and character,7pm monday night me and the gf sat at a table with 4 others (who we didnt know)at an adjacent table we were all enjoying a happy conversation when a staff member asked the party of 4 to speak quieter as there was a staff meeting of 10/15 staff on tables near by . the 2 of us questioned this as we felt it was unfair (as it wasnt as loud as there meeting)and were rapidly told by a rude member of staff (clearly trying to show off in front of the young recruits) why dont you finish drinks and go .really ?? 7pm in a pub ?? in 30odd year of using public houses and 10+year of using this one this was a first ...there was a time we went to a pub to meet people and talk ???....no doubt i will get a reply (as on my google review) twisting things towards us and trying to portray us as loud and rowdy to justify there shocking customer service.

Great spot for a pub dinner. We had 3 different meals and all were scrumptious. Excellent service by Lindsay and all the staff. Good value for money too. Highly recommended.

Great pint of Guinness before visiting the excellent Mint Leaf Nepalese restaurant around the corner. Lovely staff great service and very nice that they ran a charity collection on the time of the first goal in the England v Spain match. Great little pub. Will go back.

Quaint Irish Pub. This was a wonderful lunch stop after our tour of the castle. Dylan and Marco were attentive with charming personalities. The pub has a wonderful system for dealing with food allergies and I dined with complete confidence.

Irish pub with usual (fried) pub food. When we visited there was live music that made the entire pub loud. You could not hear the person next to you.

Great service, great food. Had dinner the previous evening and as it was so good, went back for lunch the next day. Best pub in Stirling for food and hospitality!!

We had a glass of red wine and a pint of Scottish stout, both fine. We ordered food - fish and chips, steak & Guinness pie. The fish was not fresh, more out of a frozen bag and it was dry. The steak pie came with the meat in between 2 flaky pastry slices. The meat, individual pieces, was also dry and not in the rich secret recipe sauce (what ever that is, certainly didn’t get any). Gravy came separately and was watery. The veg also was not fresh. So cannot recommend this place for food.

So so disappointed in the food today. Been in around 8 months ago food was nice with chunky chips and good standard. We mistakenly popped in today. We waited nearly 40 minutes for x2 simple macaroni and chips and it was awful, macaroni was horrid, skinny fries were cheap rubbish and the salad was just mint and rocket which was awful. Genuinely so so disappointed and £34 for two cans and terrible poor quality food. We definitely will never be back and whoever is in that kitchen is not a chef my 11 year old can and has produced a higher standard. It really annoyed both of us and wish we’d just drove over to Falkirk lesson learned.

We had a wonderful evening at Molly Malone’s. We went in for dinner (thanks Albert - it was delicious!) and a pint. After exploring the area after dinner, we went back for more drinks and enjoyed live music. Allie and Robert took care of us at the bar and even made drinks not on their menu. Highly recommend Molly Malone’s if you are in Stirling!

Ate at lunchtime after arriving in Stirling. Ailie who works in Bar and Sav are really helpful and welcoming was a great atmosphere so booked in for evening meal after a tasty meal prepared by Albert the chef. Would definitely recommend
