Great food!! Stopped in today on our motorbike trip for much needed breakfast role, coffee and warmth and ticks all the boxes! Lovely vibe, fire on to warm us after a cool start on the bike and great coffee! Set us up for the day! Dog friendly which is a bonus.... Although can't get the dog on the bike... Will bring her next time!! 👌

Stopped here after a walk, best decision I made! Upon entering I was warmly welcomed. The staff are professional and efficiently produce superior food. My fish and chips were amazing. The batter was thin crisp and delightful. The fish was beautifully fresh and plenty of it. The lemon on the side, fresh! The service impeccable! The cheeseburger was juicy and handmade to perfection. I enjoyed my meal and it put a smile on my face. Thank you very much 😊

I eat here everytime I go hiking around Tyndrum. I recommend the large haddock and chips! It's the best on the menu. The lady on the till was friendly and chatty. I appreciate how consistent the service is, the team do a fantastic job from front of house to the kitchen. Recently, hiking through the Cononish Valley and beating Ben Lui makes the scran here even better.

Great place to stop en route to the Scottish islands. Very high quality fresh fish - they even tell you where the fish came from. Gluten free batter on request and a large selection of gluten free cakes. Great value as the snack size fish is enough for most normal appetites.

We stopped for lunch after a previous good visit last year. Yet another dog friendly restaurant, take note non dog friendly venues you are losing business. My wife had the chick pea curry with chips which she loved. I went for traditional haddock, chips and mushy peas. Both meals were served quickly and were delicious. Staff were attentive and friendly. There is outside seating and good car park.

Stopped in twice, once heading to Kerrera then on way back. Great eats and drink both times but the best is the atmosphere which is happy because of the folks working here. They are happy, engaged, helpful, and fun. The barista called the coffee he made me a Canadiano, at my suggestion! They feed the birds out back too, oh -- and twin their toilets. A worthy initiative. Great stuff all round.

What a great find travelling back on from Scotland. The service was friendly and fantastic. The place was spotless and a relaxing vibe . Now the food 😋 probably the best fish n chips ive had . Fresh tasting and piping hot. Plus the mushy peas 👌 I'd love to know what was in them . Not your normal run of the mill mushy peas you get from a chippy. If it wasn't a 4 hour drive I'd be there every week.

Consistently brilliant. The best gluten free fish and chips you’ll ever have. As well as very popular for ordinary fish and chips. Great staff; very efficient. And extremely community and environment orientated. Posters for helping Scottish communities, improving our environmental impact, and information on what trawler caught your fish and what oil they are using for frying, is plastered across the walls and on chalk boards. The most well informed, professionally run fish and chip shop you’ll ever be in! Delicious.

Thos is one of those little finds on the road to Oben or Fort William & the Highlands. That just knocks your socks off. It is brilliant!!!! Firstly there is good parking, with car charging facilities. It is not a huge car park but it also has a fast food collection point and generally, you can get a space. There are two indoor dining areas. A very nice seating area with a roaring fire and comfortable chairs. Along with a quicker bar stool area. They are happy to serve you a quick tea. Coffee and cake right up to full-on fish suppers. Which is also fantastic. The menu is varied and it's very well presented. Staff are friendly and welcoming, as soon as you walk in the door you are met with a friendly smile and are seated a menu presented and away you go. In the area go and enjoy.

Food was ok, but considering the price and the fact it was served on paper plates reflects in the honest 3 star review. Also don’t understand the point in waiting to be seated at the door when it’s basically a canteen and you go up and queue the same as a cross the road at the green welly? Since there isn’t many other places nearby choice is limited which must be why this place is so busy.

Ate their while doing the West Highland Way. Good food and nice atmosphere. Would like to give feedback on two things: 1) The Chipotle Mayo is advertised as vegan on the menu, even though it is not. Dangerous for allergy sufferers. (I am glad that they have pointed out in their response to this comment that their new mayo is vegan. The old one definitely wasn't since my partner had an allergic reaction from the eggs) 2) A bit disappointing that they use single-use plates. It's 2022 and there are almost no trees left on the West Highland Way. Doing dishes is not that hard. Otherwise, lovely place :)

Fantastic that they have certified gluten free options! Staff seems to be very clued up on coeliac also. We dropped in for a quick snack after seeing gluten free on the sign outside. We were a bit surprised to see how minimal the gluten free menu was after seeing a much bigger one in other reviews! I tried to order a roll but this was apparently not available during lunchtime (I didn't see this mentioned on the menu!). That then cut the already fairly small gluten free menu almost in half. Ended up just getting chips which were lovely! Just slightly disappointed at how much the gluten free menu and options seem to have shrunk in the last 7 months it seems.

Drawn in by its inviting charm, we decided to try their fish and chips—and what a delight it was! The fish was flawlessly cooked: golden and crisp on the outside, with tender, flaky perfection inside. The chips were equally outstanding—hot, fresh, and beautifully seasoned. This is my 'go to' place whenever I am travelling to and from the Isle of Mull and have been coming here since Sarah and her team opened 20 years ago. It has been a real privilege to watch The Real Food Cafe develop and grow into such a successful business and to enjoy the tasty food they produce and serve. My favourite guilty pleasure is the snack size fish and chips with mushy peas, curry sauce and a cup of tea. Over the years I have also enjoyed breakfasts, cake and coffee and at my most recent visit a bowl of delicious fish chowder with mara seaweed soda bread scones. The Real Food Cafe is so much more than what the name suggests and I wish Sarah and her hard working team every continuing success for the future.
