Hermann's in Stirling

Restaurant in mooi gebouw, mooi gedekte tafels. Maar inrichting kan gezelliger. Bijv. Led verlichting boven bar afschermen. Porties wat aan de kleine kant. Vis was goed van smaak maar groente was minder. Bediening zeer vriendelijk en snel maar er waren maar 2 tafels bezet.

Myself and now wife booked Hermann’s for our small wedding dinner after being at the local registry office. We’d been in for a meal a few months earlier and booked it on the spot after a lovely meal and seeing the conservatory. We had 25 guests and we had the conservatory area that fitted us all perfectly and kept us out the way of other diners. The food was exceptional. I had comments from many guests saying how good it was, how you don’t normally get quality in a bulk booking being served at once, one comment being “the best meal out I’ve had in a long long time.” It was all perfect. We used the 3 course set menu ( with a few adjustments) and this was all personalised with our names etc on it for our wedding day. Hermann and the staff we had a few communications before the day were so easy to deal with. As for the staff on the day they are an absolute credit to Hermann’s. The girl who was in charge was incredible, never stopped and always had a smile. The other girls serving drinks and waitressing were also excellent. Thank you to everyone involved at Hermann’s for making our wedding day perfect.

Mooie zaak in het centrum van Stirling. Erg vriendelijk personeel, we zijn snel bediend. We hebben zeer lekker gegeten, dit was de suggestie van de dag (3 soorten vis). Voor de rest is de kaart redelijk beperkt en niet ideaal als je Schots wil eten (zijn voornamelijk Oostenrijkse gerechten).

Authentics Scottish restaurant that provides the ambiance and setting of what a tourist would expect to see. The food was delicious and we tried haggis for the first time. The origins of the food was demonstrated by its very own Kevin in true Scottish style. A must visit if you are in the Glasgow

Firstly, the good points, the traditional Scottish soup was delicious and the Salmon was good as testified by my wife and friend. However, that is about where it finished. My chicken schnitzel was dry the coating was floury. The staff were very young and sullen and appeared to have no supervision and would rather be somewhere else. They tried to sell us a warm bottle of Rosa and the waitress did not appear to realise it should be cold and asked if we wanted the screw top left on or off!!!!!. So we were upsold a different cold bottle as they did not have any of our choice cold. The bread provided for the meal, both white and brown was obviously from a supermarket and sliced bread. Not a particularly good atmosphere as the young girls liked to have a chat behind the bar. Unfortunately not very professional and therefore would not recommend.

Hermann's restaurant in Stirling was a high point for me. I hardly ever go out to eat but I felt I should do it this time. I made a reservation before I left for my trip to Scotland. I showed up a little early but was seated anyway. I ordered the duck liver pate and the wiener schnitzel. They were both fabulous. The servers were very attentive without being intrusive. It was a classy lunch.

Repas de qualité, excellent personnel, souriant et à l’écoute! En revanche, le seul point noir de l’établissement concerne l’ambiance : décoration très vieillissante, sans parler du répertoire musical… hormis ceci, vous ferez un très bon repas :)

Nous avons très bien déjeuné dans ce restaurant de Stirling. Une décoration qui peut sembler un peu vieillotte, mais nous y avons mangé un excellent saumon d'Ecosse aux petits légumes. Un de nos meilleurs repas en Ecosse.

We had a lovely lunch at Hermann's before visiting Stirling Castle. The set menu was great value, with very generous portions and very tasty food. Service was fast and friendly. A delightful visit and I will certainly eat here again the next time I am in Stirling.

Back in the day when I used to work for a living was a regular visitor. Living south of the border haven’t been for some years, but delighted that my memory didn’t deceive. Delicious food, well prepared, seasoned and served on hot plates. The Jager Schnitzel particularly good and the Strudel was almost as good as my late mothers. She was born in Klagenfurt and would have loved Hermann’s. Bright young staff, eager to please.

To be honest I only went there for the wine, at a price that would have cost me at least double in the city. Very good it was too.Scallops starter was flavoursome, although two was a bit mean for a tenner. I did not think that black pudding could be cut as the thinnest I had ever seen. Jägerschnitzel was overpowered by a sauce fit for a steak (think Diane). Ruined the delicacy of the veal. Dauphinoise potatoes dry, nor creamy or light. Disappointing at twenty pounds.Chocolate torte was extremely dense and lacked flavour, just a trace taste of Amaretto.Seriously, if the people of Stirling think this is the best, then they don't get out much!PS. I couldn't stand any more Taylor Swift being played, really, what are you thinking? Took my bottle of wine to enjoy in my peaceful hotel room...

Always looking for new restaurants to try, my wife and I decided a day trip to Stirling with Wiener Schnitzel at Hermann's was a good option. We booked a few days in advance and were really looking forward to it.The restaurant is in a good location near the castle. On entering, we could see the decor was a little dated but that's not why we were there.For starters, my wife had Cullen Skunk which she thought was very good, I had pate which was fine but unexceptional. We both ordered Wiener Schnitzel mains. What a disappointment. The batter was soggy with grease, so much so my wife was unable to eat hers. The waitress was informed but offered no apology or remedy. On the plus side, the vegetables were well cooked.I expect the Wiener Schnitzel is their signature dish and so was shocked at how badly cooked it was served and to not acknowledge when a customer reports an issue is unacceptable.

We have eaten at Hermann's many times over the years and never been disappointed. Last night was no exception although a wee bit disappointed that there were none of the schnitzel dishes available. We had an early booking (5.30) and arrived about 5.25. It was clear that we had caught the staff on the hop and am sorry to say that we were made to feel a bit awkward before we were eventually shown to a table. We certainly enjoyed our meal but our experience of Hermann's wasn't as good as in previous visits. The staff also got our desserts order wrong. Hasn't put us off and we will be back. Maybe just having an off night / busy / new, inexperienced staff?

Went this afternoon with friends for lunch. We all ate from the festive lunch menu & have to say, every course was just fab. Cullen skink and leek crepes, were both delicious as was the chicken & steak dishes. Veg was so tasty and bramble and hazelnut tart was lovely. Superb value for money for such quality food and service. Thank you for a very enjoyable visit.

I was there for my friends Golden Wedding Anniversary celebration on Saturday. The choice of foods and wines were excellent and the service we received was amazing they went out of their way to accommodate timing of courses due to suprises we wanted for the happy couple. Despite visiting Stirling regularly over the years, we had never before dined at Hermann’s. We ate an excellent lunch from a pleasingly short, focused menu. Good food, good value, excellent staff and a beautiful location.

A year on from our last review, we feel that our meal deserves an update. We thoroughly enjoyed the delicious scallop starter - but it was a difficult choice between that and Hermann's cullen skink - which is the best ever according to one of our party. The soup of the day was also excellent. The guys loved the steak though our daughter, who doesn't like peppercorns, fondly remembers the blue cheese sauce that was offered in the past. There are two peppercorn main courses, both excellent, but limiting for people who do not like peppery meals. The Malbec we chose was superb and we remarked on the consistently good wine choices that have been available in the restaurant over many years.For one diner, it was impossible to choose a favourite in the trio of desserts and the dessert wine that two of our party had with the tart (beerenauslese, if I remember correctly) slipped down well. Thank you for another delicious meal.

We had dinner at Herman’s 8/9/21 and we had a lovely evening. Attentive service and great food and wine. Excellent value. It was quite quiet (Thursday evening) but we were a group of 6 + baby, so it was perfect for us. Highly recommended.

We visited with My Sister & Brother-in-law on 28th August 2021. Food was wonderful (taste and value) - especially impressed by the dairy-free menu.

We attended as a group for a 7 o’clock table we were seated quickly and a drinks order taken efficiently. We ordered the pate for starter which was delicious and came with some tasty bread and we all had the chicken with haggis and a cream sauce for main which was also delicious. Would happily return.

Tried the restaurant while visiting Stirling. Beautiful food, atmosphere and white tablecloths! Staff attentive helpful and friendly. Food absolutely gorgeous, homemade and quality produce used. Not a huge choice but I think this is a sign of a quality restaurant and something to suit everyone.

We visited 2x while being in Stirling and this restaurant exceeded all our expectations! We loved the food, the atmosphere, the portions were just perfect, and it's an exceptionally professional place. :)We were surprised to see Hungarian Tokaji on the dessert menu which was advised to take if you want to order an apfelstrudel, so we did and it was just BRILLIANT! Also their "function room" looks so lovely, like a winter garden, thanks again for being such a quality restaurant in Stirling, where we mainly saw pub food and mainstream food options all over the city. If you want more then hamburgers or fast food and want to enjoy a proper meal, go to Hermann's! They won't disappoint! :)We'll definitely be back and take our family as well! Clean and personal dining experience. Catch of the day was halibut served with garlic mash and scallops - cooked to perfection with high attention to detail. Friendly staff who appeared at just the right time to serve and refresh drinks. Lovely little selection of cheese and Port to finish the meal. An all round excellent dining experience.

Excellent restaurant. Classic European cooking. Service very good and friendly. Good wine suggestions with each course. Highly recommend.

Staying nearby, we booked Hermann’s for a special night out. Turned out to be a great choice!Comfortable surroundings and nice atmosphere.The food was excellent - both the jäger schnitzel and Wiener schnitzel were fab, veggies were really tasty and potatoes excellent. Managed to bag the last portion of Apfelstrudel between us and were glad we did.Excellent wine selection.Staff were really nice too.Highly recommended!

We visited Hermann's for dinner. I decided to have the Cullen Skink as a starter (a variation on Scottish Haddock soup), it was amazing! Definitely recommend trying it, superb flavours. For my main I had the Weiner Schnitzel (Pork escalope), which was also very tasty. Overall a fabulous meal in lovely surroundings with excellent service.

A classic restaurant in Stirling. Nice varied menu and good portion sizes. Good value every time. Highly recommend.

Booked here for lunch and was not disappointed.Friendly welcome and offered a choice of tables, iced water provided (welcome on a hot day) and our drinks order taken.We selected from the Lunch menu, my soup starter of Cullen Skink was great, a treat you don't often see on restaurant menus.Our Jager Schnitzel mains were again delicious served with a nice vegetable side.our dessert choice of Orange and Chocolate tart with Ice cream was a fine ending to a wonderful meal.The staff were attentive and friendly, while observing all the protocols. The table were suitable distanced but it was still nice to be somewhere with a bit of chat and a little ambiance.A great place to visit, will be back when next in Stirling.

Delighted to find this excellent restaurant. Most places these days have lowered their standards, but Hermann's provides quality, value and class, with tablecloths and proper serviettes.We ate their twice during our 6 night stay and it was definitely our favourite. The first time, we both had the Sea Bass and Scallop Special with a Seafood Bisque Sauce. The fish was cooked to perfection and the portions generous with seasonal vegetables for a price of £21.50. For desserts we chose the Amaretto Truffle Torte and the Raspberry & Almond Tart, both of which were excellent. A bottle of Argentinian Viognier complemented the meal.The second night, my wife chose the Scallops on Black Pudding whilst I had the Toasted Goats Cheese on a fresh salad. Followed by Wiener and Jager Schnitzels, both of which were generous and delicious, and to finish, the Apfelstrudel and the Raspberry & Almond Tart. Complemented by an honest Pinot Grigio, we were very well satisfied.

Very good service and lovely food.My husband had fillet steak, which was perfectly cooked to his liking.I could not resist the strudel for dessert.We only had a short break in Stirling,but will definitely be eating here again if in the area.

The service was excellent, attentive without being overwhelming and knowledgeable about what was being served. The food was so good, everything balanced and appealing. Will definitely be back ... so much more to try!

This was our last meal out of our two week tour of Scotland and we both voted it our top venue. The ambience is relaxing, the food superb, piping hot and beautifully presented. The trio of desserts also got the thumbs up. The staff could not be more welcoming and attentive.

Wow what a wonderful restaurant and so close to the castle. The food is fantastic and the lunch offer is excellent value. The service is sublime. If you are visiting Stirling this is the place to come to!

This was the best dinner we had while we were in Stirling. The restaurant is comfortable, the staff were really helpful and relaxed and we really enjoyed the food. We chose Jager schnitzel, fish of the day, apfelstrudel and baileys chocolate mousse. All were really tasty and well cooked, the dauphinoise potatoes with the schnitzel were really rich and buttery. We enjoyed dinner there so much we had to prolong it a little more with a glass of port and some whisky!

Second visit after such a lovely first time. This restaurant is fantastic. I follow them on Facebook and due to Covid prefer to eat outside which they went out of their way to accommodate. We had the special £12.90 two course lunch. Paid an extra £3 for the Oakes Smoked Salmon starter which was fav! Big portion, lovely side salad and a beautiful mustard mayonnaise! 10/10! Last tome we had the Schnitzel and Spatzel and again we chose the same as it had been so tasty! My Weiner Schnitzel was sublime... just as good as the finest in Vienna! The veggies, particularly the roast new potatoes were beautifully cooked. My wife’s Spatzel was gorgeous too! The staff are so lovely and went beyond to help us.... I hope you try it!!!

Everyone was kind and attentive. Bread eas offered to us at the start, although, it was essentially a piece of store-bought sliced bread and a miniscule offering of butter. Fairly shocked by the alcohol menu (e.g. No Aperol, inability to make an old fashioned, no draught beer), as well as the Jager schnitzel (veal) which was just short of flavour and decent vegetables. My partner had a fantastic fish of the day course (scallops cooked to perfection). Creme brulee was exceptional. I'd stress the need to lift the decor as things seemed a bit tired + update the drinks menu.

What a lovely evening we had at this lovely restaurant. The food was delicious. We had the 3 course set menu, we could not fault the food at all. My husband had the fillet steak, and I had the chicken with haggis. Divine. A simple and well executed menu. Matt looked after us extremely well. So thank you. Would definitely recommend.

We visited this restaurant for a family birthday. As always, the food/overall experience was incredible. Cannot recommend this place highly enough. Staff very friendly, quality of food is fantastic and presentation is outstanding. If you are in the area, definitely pay this restaurant a visit. You will not be disappointed!

Great to fall into this place after a fascinating, but cold and wet, tour of the Castle. The fire was very welcome and service prompt and attentive. Cullen skink is as good as it gets, rich and salty, and there was a good range of options on the set lunch menu. The special feature is the mix of Scottish and Austrian dishes, and the schnitzel was pretty authentic. The set dinner menu looked good and there are other deals too. A good place to refresh in the midst of sightseeing around the historic centre.

My husband and I recently got married in Stirling and had our reception dinner at Hermann's. We cannot be happier that Hermann's agreed to host our meal. Not only was the food fantastic, but the staff were all phenomenal. They went out of their way to make our day special. We are already looking forward to visiting again.

Booked ahead for a Saturday at 11am for the soup and sandwich deal with my Mum.We received a warm welcome and the most delicious food. The Cullen Skink is to die for, easily the best I’ve tasted and It’s my favourite so I’ve tried a fair few! Salmon and cream cheese sandwiches were filled with plenty salmon and a lovely dressed salad £8.50 (£1 supplement if you want the Cullen Skink).I’ll definitely be back without a doubt!! Staff are lovely too!

Como Covid dictaminó que no podíamos pasar nuestro aniversario de plata donde comenzamos, en Austria, nos decidimos por pasar la noche cerca de casa, en Stirling. Tourist Info recomendó un par de restaurantes y tan pronto como mencionaron que Hermann's era un restaurante austriaco / escocés, se tomó la decisión. Ciertamente no nos arrepentimos.La comida era excelente al igual que el vino, y los precios eran muy razonables para una comida de alta calidad. La bienvenida fue cálida y amable y el servicio fue de primera categoría. Al descubrir que era una celebración especial, nos obsequiaron con un licor de ciruela gratis, ¡muy cálido en una noche fría!Mención especial a Vladimir, que fue muy atento e hizo que la noche fuera especial para nosotros.No podría recomendar este restaurante más. Sin duda volveremos

Qué comida tan maravillosa fue aquí. La ubicación frente a la histórica iglesia y la cárcel fue sorprendentemente fácil de estacionar cerca, ya que era de noche. La semana pasada tuvimos la cena más maravillosa en Hermanns. El personal era encantador, acogedor, educado y amable. Tuvimos un buen asiento en el invernadero bien alejado de otros comensales, lo que nos hizo sentir seguros. ¡Pero la comida fue lo más destacado! Habiendo vivido en Austria, he probado muchos platos típicos, ¡pero ninguno era tan bueno como este! El entrante de queso de cabra estaba delicioso, el Wiener Schnitzel era perfecto y una porción de tamaño ideal, ¡las verduras deliciosas! El filete de mi compañero estaba cocinado a la perfección y el Apfel Strudel era tan bueno. Tuve el paté de pato y entrante de brioche seguido de la Weiner Schnitzel y mi marido tenía tomate y sopa de pimiento asado seguido de pollo con Haggis. Ambos platos principales fueron acompañados de abundantes platos individuales de verduras recién cocidas.Como las raciones eran abundantes, optamos por compartir la tarta de avellanas y naranja, que estaba muy rica. Definitivamente regresaremos a Hermann's

Los cuatro dijimos que era la mejor comida que habíamos comido en años. La comida fue simplemente excelente desde el primer plato hasta el postre. Con mucho gusto hubiéramos pagado el doble, era tan bueno. Nuestro camarero también fue excelente, estaba muy bien informado y nada era demasiado para él.No podemos esperar a volver a Stirling para comer aquí de nuevo.

Visitamos para cenar después de un día fuera. El entrante de vieira fue absolutamente delicioso y disfrutamos toda la comida con opciones de bistec, pollo y Wiener Schnitzel para el plato principal y una variedad de postres, ¡mi favorito es cr me br l e aunque mi familia tiene otros favoritos!Nos sentimos muy seguros durante nuestra visita y sentimos que se tomaron buenas precauciones de seguridad en estos tiempos difíciles.

Fantastic food and great service. Definitely recommend. The al la carte menu is fab. My goats cheese was superb and Partners Cullin skink was great, main courses equally as good, as was dessert.

Comimos aquí un sábado a la hora del almuerzo después de una visita al castillo.Muy impresionado con la comida y el servicio en general.Pedimos el 12 a un precio muy razonable. 90 almuerzo de dos platos. Ambos tuvimos el entrante de salmón ahumado (con un suplemento muy pequeño). Para los platos principales, opté por el escalope de Wiener, con la carne suave con una miga increíble en el exterior que estaba crujiente y mantecoso. Mi compañero optó por el halloumi a la parrilla, espárragos y pisto, de nuevo excelente.Todo regado con una copa de vino blanco austriaco crujiente.Lo recomiendo encarecidamente, y sin duda volveremos cuando esté en la zona.

Herman's está bien establecido en Stirling con un menú limitado pero bien equilibrado que es una fusión de austriaco y escocés. Terminé aquí por pura casualidad (literalmente pasé por allí y sentí hambre), y por miradas externas no esperaba mucho, pero estaba totalmente equivocado.Aquí probablemente comí el mejor filete de mi vida: filete, era un estilo chateaubriand con una increíble salsa de pimienta, tanto la salsa como el filete estaban perfectamente cocinados y con sabores increíblemente equilibrados.También vale la pena mencionar Speck y melón: una gran combinación, entregada de manera brillante. Buen menú para niños también.¡Ah, y sirven cerveza artesanal de la gran cervecería Harviestoun! El servicio fue excelente, no puedo recomendar este lugar lo suficiente!

What can I say. The food is as Austrian as a greasy spoon cafe off the M6. The schnitzel was greasy and bland. The setting would have been dated in the 1970s so much so the the owner clearly can’t be bothered. No character or ambience whatsoever. The other dishes equally poor. Steer clear.

Walking, no preconceptions and offering a set price menu for 2 or 3 courses included in 50% deal eat out to help out.Myself and friends ordered starters of Cullen skink, smoked salmon salad, and goats cheese salad. Fabulous portion size and presentation absolutely delicious.The mains outdid the starters, paid extra for the finest fillet steak with pink peppercorn sauce, and chicken with haggis and seasonal veg. Three of us had lunch (80th birthday celebration). The staff were excellent, so welcoming and attentive,( cake and cancels) but the food was 5*. Never had Duck & orange pate' that was so delicious, even carried out bags outside to the car. Can't praise them enough, will certainly be back., to more beautiful meals.

Came out for the set dinner menu under the #EOTHO scheme.We had a lovely dinner, everything cooked to perfection and well presented. Friendly staff, socially distanced tables and plenty hand sanitiser. As well as lunch and dinner set menus the a la Carte menu is available too. Lovely setting just across the road from the Holy Rude at the top of the town.Highly recommend!

Went to Hermanns for lunch with my family (mum, brother, sister in law and my son), the food was delicious and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. We had duck pate x 2, Cullen skink x 2 and the goats cheese to start. All were lovely and thoroughly enjoyed. For mains we had salmon, goulash, schnitzel, chicken and the fillet steak. All were fab. I had the steak with pepper sauce, it was cooked to perfection, melt in the mouth deliciousness.I would heartily recommend this restaurant and look forward to returning on my next visit to Stirling! Thanks to all the staff for making us feel so welcome.

I’m normally quite picky on the little touches, Herman’s however, never disappointed! A warm welcome, very tentative staff, great wine, the place was clean and lastly, the food was to die for. I can’t fault the place at all. 10/10

First 'external' meal in almost 4 months, so it was a real delight to enjoy a fantstic meal here. Lovely food, well presented and with very friendly and attentive staff. The cullen skink was superb... if I was a condemend man and asked what I wanted for my final meal, it would be this astonishingly good soup! The schnitzels were also very tasty.

The food was really good, tried my first Haggas too and it was wonderful. The staff were super friendly and gave out a good atmosphere. The goat cheese and salad was a stand out!!!

El entrante de salmón ahumado era excelente, acompañado de una ensalada y un aderezo inspirado. El plato principal de Wiener schitzel fue perfecto y las verduras fueron cocinadas a un buen "bocado". El postre de la torta fue fabuloso. Este restaurante ofrece una excelente relación calidad-precio.

This was the perfect stop for lunch before heading up to the Castle. 2 courses were cooked to perfection and washed down with a glass of wine. Definitely recommend foodies attend when visiting Stirling.

En mi opinión, la diferencia entre una buena comida y una excepcional es la atención al detalle.Para empezar pedí las vieiras con morcilla de Stornoway con una torre de patatas y sopa de azafrán. Las vieiras fueron cocinadas a la perfección, el budín negro estaba maravillosamente tibio pero no grasiento como algunos y la sopa era sutil y no abrumadora. Saboreé cada bocado.Para las principales tuve el Risotto de espárragos y champiñones mixtos con ensalada. El arroz tenía la cantidad justa de bocado y fue sazonado como a mí me gusta. De nuevo fue despachado sumariamente y solo la presencia de otros comensales me detuvo lamiendo el plato.Sin embargo, la sorpresa más agradable fue la atención al detalle con la ensalada. Normalmente estos son asuntos bastante flojos y pretenden completar una comida inadecuadamente proporcionada (no es que el Risotto fuera). Sin embargo, esto sería lo suficientemente bueno como para comer por derecho propio. ¡Pimientos crujientes deliciosos y crujientes, sabrosos y jugosos tomates cherry con piel fina! ! , deliciosa ensalada de espinacas, mostaza y remolacha y un generoso aderezo de vinagreta de mostaza. Ahora es una ex ensalada de lado.Decidí que el resto de la comida era tan buena que probaría los postres.Entonces, después de una pausa respetuosa de rellenar mi cara, opté por la tarta de frambuesa y almendra. Estaba tan liviano que tuve que comerlo rápidamente por temor a que se fuera flotando, una tarea facilitada con el delicioso helado para pesarlo.El camarero también es digno de mención. Great place just off the Stirling castle. Good Austrian inspired dishes at a competitive price. The service was very thoughtful too.

The atmosphere is warm and welcoming . The cuisine is Austrian and Scottish . Lovely food , great service and an excellent wine list

The Mushroom soup was delicious. Varied menu with mixture of Austrian and local cuisine. Food delicious. Staff very attentive and pleasant.

Decided to call in for lunch on the way up to the castle and am so glad we did. The decor of the restaurant is pretty ordinary but the food was just superb. Really tasty and full of flavour. The service was great too - really friendly, welcoming and professional. Highly recommend this place.

I don't know when we discovered Hermann's, but since then we've tried to visit every time we've been in Stirling and we've never been disappointed. This time we took friends for a small celebration and everything was perfect.

Excellent lunch, I had the duck pate with toast instead of oatcakes and it came with a lovely side salad and jam. Salmon main course was a huge price with lovely veg and homemade wedges. A hidden gemexcellent huge piece of salmon with well cooked

We had a private dining for 19 people. Food was delicious and well organised. Saturday night and the staff were very attentive and accommodating when we had to change our times. Highly recommend this perhaos if your staying near by.

Food is really fresh and tender and delicious, it was accompanied by the local specialist Kevin that made the dinner all the more enjoyable and I appreciate knowing alot more about Scotland from him. The restaurant hospitality is superb & friendly too! Am honoured to be chosen to serve the haggis with Kevin while he plays the bagpipe and seriously, his notes are so much clearer and it's a joy to hear it.

After a day out exploring Stirling Castle this is a great place to unwind, relax and enjoy great food, as well as a bit of class. A cut above the normal we enjoyed some good service, lovely surroundings and food that was of the highest quality. This restaurant is to be thoroughly recommended for those who are more discerning and looking for a pleasant night out.

We called to reserve a table for two ,they had coach party's booked in but still managed to give us a table for two.chose the set menu which was great value .fillet steak was £5 extra but was worth every penny ,first class service from start to finish prices are very reasonable as are portion sizes .first class establishment it's right on our doorstep so we will be back

This eatery is pleasantly located near to the Castle. Even on a week night the place seemed busy, especially with tourists. They appeared to have been subjected to the skirl of the pipes whilst dining!

This beautifully appointed restaurant located in a former home was spectacular. The service was outstanding. We were on a short time line and our lunch was prepared and served quickly while still giving us time to enjoy the delicious food. We enjoyed potato leek soup that was rich and perfectly seasoned. The mushroom risotto was wonderful as was the pork schnitzel. As delicious as any I have had in Vienna! If you are in Sterling Scotland don’t miss this lovely place where you will be treated like royalty.

We both had the duck pate to start and then fillet steak to follow both were exceptional cannot fault the service we received from the waiting staff would be five star review butwe were sat in the conservatory which could do with a makeover we will definitely look forward to a return visit!

Not far from the Castle entrance, this restaurant is perfectly located for the lunch after the morning visite of the Castle. The Chef comes from Austria, and the food is a mix of two countries and traditions. Successful ! a good choice in Stirling !

Las cantidades son ajustadas y la calidad normal, el filete empanado, para ser especialidad austriaca, muy poco conseguido y el pato nada bueno. Sur nos deux semaines de vacances en Ecosse, c’est le meilleur restaurant. Cadre très soigné, accueil chaleureux et professionnelle. Nappe blanche, vraies bougies. Le Kir Royal et le Mango Bellini: excellent. L’entré avec coquille St-Jacques et la galette de boudin avec un gratin de pommes de terres: plus que succulent. Le plat principal: le canard. Cuit tout juste ce qu’il fallait. Le tout pour un prix plus que correct: Bravo à la cuisine et au service à la table: c’est absolument parfait et un régal. Vivement à recommander.

This was our first visit to Hermann's, having been recommended to go there by an acquaintance. We started with soup which was tasty and my partner had Salmon whilst I had the Weiner Schnitzel, both main courses were very good without being spectacular. The service was friendly and quick. We will probably return when going to another gig at the Tolbooth.

A la hora del almuerzo hay una opción razonable de menú a un precio razonable. Schnitzel de cerdo, salmón y pollo con haggis todo bien. El cullen skink era excepcionalmente sabroso. Un vino austiano bien frío bajó bien. El servicio era amable y preciso.

Very good food, well presented with a lovely, traditional atmosphere. Salmon was exceptional, as was the steak. Service was good as well, and the location was convenient.

As a group of nature hens(!) we went for a lunch at Hermanns. We pre ordered from a set menu. When we arrived a private table was set up for us and we were met with a glass of fizz for everyone.

The latest of many visits. White table cloth dining. Simple menu but very well cooked and presented, as ever.

Our Trafalgar tour came here for dinner & we took up 2 of the downstairs dining rooms. Charming atmosphere! We had been joined by Kevin, the piper from Stirling Castle. He performed the haggis ceremony for us--interesting! Haggis is not something I cared to try, but some did & said it wasn't too bad! The meal started off with soup-Scottish broth. Delish! My entree was salmon with roasted potatoes & mixed veggies. Excellent!! For dessert, cranachan--made with oats, cream, whisky & berries. Really good!! During the meal, Kevin played his pipes & regaled us with Scottish tales. A great time was had by all!! The staff was very friendly & efficient. I definitely recommend!
