what a wonderful café we have been to loch leven larder before but this café is a gem. The coffee was good and the cakes were delicious. The staff were friendly and very helpful they could of had a better choice in childrens drinks but really can't fault this place . Will be going back again as it was so good

4 of us went for lunch on a Thursday. Staff were attentive and service was swift. Cosy and friendly place. All the food was freshly prepared and excellent in presentation and taste. Special mention for the pork loin special. It was very tasty and cooked to perfection. The sticky toffee pudding was delicious and light. Reasonably priced and good value. Will be back more often.

I love supporting local businesses but the last few times I've visited have been very disappointing. Very overpriced (£5.05 for a hot chocolate with cream) especially as the quality is not of a high standard. Everything is underwhelming. I contacted the owners about price versus quality but heard nothing back so I am posting here instead.

Blown away by the service! Just simple ,fresh food cooked beautifully. The two ladies who were hosting, treated everyone like we had walked into their home. So kind friendly and, despite there being 7 of us, we're efficient, fast and seemed so happy to serve us all. We had mostly sandwiches but I had a delicious vegan chick pea masala and my daughter had a macaroni cheese both were devoured. Great baking too, would have loved to see a vegan cake choice but such is life. Thank you,we will be back and recommending!

Had a lovely relaxing afternoon's coffee here since The Court House redecoration which is so tasteful. The coffee's we had were very smooth and the vegan cake very delicious and was a big portion that we shared. Will go again for sure for breakfast or lunch soon!

This is the first place I've ever encountered who couldn't take a simple order of soup, followed by coffee and cake and manage to bring the coffee and cake once the soup was finished. I've never been refused this before, in fact, many places ask if I would like them to do this. Here, I was told that I would need to finish my soup then come back to the counter and re-order the coffee and cake. The "soup", labelled "vegetable broth" is the strangest I've ever seen, looked like sick on a plate and had plenty of barley but not much else and was quite tasteless. The coffee, by the time I finished my soup, was much cooled down and the cake was just average - nothing to rave about. They forgot my cold milk to go with my coffee so I had to go back to the counter and tell them. She put some in a jug then called me back over from my table to get it myself from the counter. Despite this, there was plenty of staff on, unusual for such a small place and they seemed to be having loads of fun, standing around chatting and laughing whilst their customers brought their own empty plates back to the counter. Not a good atmosphere, quite unfriendly and I definitely will not be back. There are plenty of other places who know how to treat people and who also have enough gumption to be able to serve their customers in the way they would like to be served. My advice - drive past here and go somewhere else!

Visited a few times and always been a positive experience. Small farm shop which is well stocked. Nice range of local produce & gifts on sale. Never had any issues with food/ service even when busy. Nice, fresh homemade soup, good range of cakes / tray bakes. Decent coffee. Staff all very pleasant that we have dealt with.

Very friendly and attentive staff. Nice, quiet atmosphere, lovely piano music creating a nice ambiance. Ate here last night, the food was decent - I had the mussels to start which were lovely (but unfortunately the toast was burnt), and the steak for mains - chips were lovely and triple cooked! My husband had the haggis bites and the fish for mains. We shared a bottle of malbec which was delicious. This place is obviously in a state of growth, and we hope it continues to succeed because it will make a really great local staple.
