I have been going here every chance I've got since I was a young lad. Both main and dessert is always amazing and kids are always made to feel welcome. landlord will put the train set on for them or give them toys to play with while waiting for food. Staff will give you your space unless you want to talk which is a breath of fresh air.

Arrived, to be treated by welcoming staff. We had a lovely meal followed by a very informative conversation with the land lord. His passion for collecting is very clear. Take the time to ask him about is New motorcycle and his trips to Italy has a young man. Very funny. Post COVID, he hopes to set up a cafe/book store and collectibles in a currently unused part of the outbuildings. Drop by and have a cuppa.

Shabby and I don’t mean shabby nice, smell of stale beer and fried greasy food, dirty carpets yuk!,,, Horrible unattended plant pots outside not a good inviting look. We were driving through this village and were shocked to see a village pub open. Wish we had kept driving. The staff were not friendly we felt as though we were intruding, we ordered 1 portion fish and chips, did not finish meal we both thought it was frozen fish tasteless. Such a shame it could be so nice, different staff, freshly home cooked food would help.

Strange pub , very quiet on a Saturday afternoon, landlord was a bit stand offish at first, but after we made an attempt to talk to him and ask a bit about the pubs history, the model train set that runs round the gantry etc ,he turned out to be a good host , very dry sense of humour but we ended up enjoying his tales of the past .Had a nice meal on the Sunday afternoon, basic pub grub but good and reasonable, worth popping into if you’re passing bye .

After taking a drive from Dunfermline for the Powmill Milk bar we were at a loose end as the milk bar was closed, the next nearest town was Crook Of Devon! So whilst taking the short drive I looked up where to eat... The reviews for The Inn were mixed but the good reviews were amazing, so we decided to pop in ( my partner was reluctant) From the moment we walked in we knew it was the correct decision. What a little hidden gem this is. The lady gave us a lovely warm welcome and I was amazed by all the little collectibles around, like I say this place is a hidden gem FULL of bits and bobs and packed with history The owner is HILARIOUS in his own way, he’s like a professor of his own Inn! If you want over the top service where you’re constantly bugged at the table then this isn’t the place for you! You are left alone to enjoy your surroundings and that’s exactly what we wanted. 10/10 for cleanliness! You would think with so many collectibles it would be caked in dust, but I couldn’t see any at all Drinks - there is a HUGE choice of juices , beers and spirits , the coffee is amazing! Children’s Menu - good choice , good price Food! The menu is pub grub! You’re not faced with 50 plus items and there is something for everyone On a previous review someone mentioned the Goujons!! AMAZING! We went for the lasagna and the macaroni! Portions sizes for the price are brilliant! For 2 people - 3 drinks, 1 starter, 2 mains, we paid £25 we fully expected to pay a lot more Upon leaving, the lady invited us to the bar area, showing us the little bits in there, asked us where we were from , she was very interested ( you rarely get that anywhere) We would happily recommend The Inn to anyone who fancies a scenic drive and a lunch or dinner that would have you leave with a full belly and a little bit of history! Thankyou for the lovely visit Lisa

My family and I have been going here now for quite a few years,. The food is very good and very consistent. Marco makes you very welcome ( and does smile occasionally ) There are lots of things to see here, from tax discs from cars, to horses bits and the train set that runs above the bar. Great value for money and highly recommended

Stopped by for the first time today after a good hike around the hills. Bar area has sparse seating but happy to take it as we had the dog with us. Welcoming owner and fascinating bar to just sit and look. The collections are really something, coupled with a model railway running around the top of the bar. The 4 year old was absolutely entertained. Good drink and snack selection, think we’ll give dinner a try sometime soon.

We dropped the Grand child off at her Horse riding session - then looked in the area for a bite to eat. We had a main meal only and it was good - freshly cooked and the coffee was great. That's all we asked for. There are quite a few curio's around the Bar - with model collections and some War time memorabilia. There is also a working model railway running above and along the full length of the Bar. It is quite entertaining, while keeping you occupied while waiting for your meal.

Was really looking forward to a return visit, but, sadly ,was disappointed. On entering half hour early for my booking, the surly owner brusquely asked what we wanted to drink, and pointed in the general direction of some tables. Did not even ask who we were. then came over within seconds. no time to check the menu, but, decided on steak pie. Were not asked what we would like with it. it was pretty much take it or leave it! Steak pie was actually pretty good. The ambience, was most certainly not! I had a pint of lager, which was flat, so, hardly even touched it. On paying the bill ,was not even asked if we enjoyed the food. Manners cost nothing! I was then charged for drinks that I did not buy. I will never return here. If you like being treated badly, this man will certainly oblige!

Having visited this place for the last 30 years on and off the menu has been the same ever since I can remember. The food is excellent and plenty of it, the only downside is the owner is not one for being very welcoming. This small pub is very eccentric and cluttered with collections of cars photos ect, but please don't let this put you off as it really is a wee gem of a place.

Stopped here completely at random, needing a place for lunch. Great pub food, good value, and the interior is unique, with collections from everything from model trains, to coins, rulers, golf clubs and loads more, all around the walls. A history lesson if nothing else.

Living just a short walk from the Inn, my partner and I eat here at least twice a week and have done so for 8 years. The food, while not cordon bleu, is nonetheless excellent. There are three menus to choose from, "In house", "Take away" or the blackboard, all served inside the pub.We always have a main course, a glass of wine and coffee, the coffee comes with a small dish of chocolates. Our total bill has never been more the £26! The pub although small (seating for 20) is warm and friendly, the landlord, Marco, who usually copes on his own, is friendly and interesting, having an extensive knowledge of the area and its history. Children love to go there as there is a model train running around the bar and lots of collectables behind the bar, they treat Marco like an uncle as he supplies a variety of games to keep them entertained whilst in there with their parents.

Made a point of trying this quirky little place after reading reviews on here, and, was an inspired choice. This cosy little restaurant is ideal for a meal, or, even just a drink at the bar. Was pretty busy when went in at around 7pm......Good sign! We were seated, and drink order taken immediately, great service. The food was excellent, and, the bench mark for me....steak was cooked to perfection. always try steak when I eat at somewhere new, as, being a Phillistine, I love it really well done. Plenty on plate too. Had raspberry and white chocolate cheesecake to finish, excellent again.

I have visited The Inn, Crook of Devon, which is an old fashioned pub with thick stone walls and small windows, on several occasions, and each time I have enjoyed the food, either at lunchtime or in the evening. There is a standard menu which is augmented with many daily 'specials'. The meals are well presented and reasonably priced. There are lots of local photographs and interesting information to look at, and a model railway runs around the lounge bar area above head height.

Every time we go to The Inn, the food and service are consistently excellent. We live locally and this is a regular venue for a lunch outing. It is like an old curiosity shop with a collection of all sorts of artifacts to take one back to their childhood, with a model railway around the bar which is so detailed that every time we visit we see something new. A great family pub I would recommend to anyone. No mass produced pub food here...just honest real brilliant food..and excellent company.

Popped in here for lunch with our dog. Decent amount of choice on the lunch menu. The steak pie was steak with a pastry top, rather than the pie we expected. The omelette was tasty and the portions were large. The staff were friendly and the service was quick.

Almost 5 pounds for a cappuccino for which no order has been taken at first, for which you then have to wait more than 20 minutes, with a spoon and sugar missing and, as a highlight, a 10% service fee appears on the bill? As beautiful as it is in Gleneagles - unfortunately we didn't like it at all...

Went for lunch yesterday with my parents and dog on arrival our table was clearly marked ours and there was already a bowl of water awaiting my dog I thought this was super sweet and thoughtful, the waitress we had was brilliant with my wee Jack Russell she gave him a few biscuits and attention he loved it. Service was quick and the food as always was delicious. Lovely warm welcoming place to eat out and we always choose here when we go for lunch. Great menu lots of choice.

We were enjoying a nice drink in the beer garden one sunny afternoon, when a youth started shouting & swearing at us because we were English (which was funny in itself because none of us are 100% English). The locals were appalled at his behaviour & the landlord immediately ejected him, however, it cast a shadow on our visit.

I give up, I really do. Have stopped using the restaurant because the food is pretty poor and the staff are surly at best. This morning I wanted to purchase a food item which they have stocked for years. First young girl I asked couldn't understand what I was asking for, second one said they didn't stock it although she has served me in the past and the third one said it had sold out but they might be getting some in in a couple of weeks. Several other local people have mentioned how rude the staff were. Hospitable is not a word you can use for this place and yet years ago it used to be good on all counts.
