Excellent staff and great food. We ordered too much because it all sounded so good and we were hungry. The food was very good. The staff very welcoming and fun to talk with. Lovely place.

Love this place. The food was delicious and deserts great. There were lots of excellent gluten free options. We especially enjoyed the two young waiters. They were very engaging.

While walking round part of the Loch Leven Heritage Trail, we decided to pop into the cafe for some lunch. The staff were very friendly and we sat upstairs, as there was lots of extra tables and space. Our food was excellent and the staff were lovely. Highly recommend for a heart lunch or breakfast.

We visited Reminisce today and was greeted by lovely staff who gave my son a colouring book and crayons. We didn't wait long to order or for our food to arrive. The staff were very attentive and helpful and the food was great too! There are lots of different options and amazing cakes which we took home! We will definitely be back!

came for lunch and were quickly greated at the door by Gabrielle who sat us down and made us feel very welcome. we ordered some hot food and coffees and all came in reasonable time with great portion sizes. very much value for money. Kayleigh and Gabrielle were great! thank you very much guys

The worst cafe experience we’ve ever had. We were there to lunch on 16th August 2024(today). The food was stale and dry.starters especially the patties were stale but heated up. Kotthu was dry.again pre-made and heated. Pasta had too much salt. One main dish came 45mins later when everyone had finished their meals. Horrible service.highly overrated.mediocre place!!!!! Will never step in here again.

The haddock and chips were delicious and soo fresh ! The best i have had in years and in the Kinross-shire Fife area ! The steak pie was also delicious !! We will be back !

Absolutely great place , really friendly and polite staff, food was amazing we had baked potatoes which were piping hot and even the cups for the tea were warmed. First place I've had that , great touch . Price was exceptionally reasonable for the portion size . Very happy and full stomachs for both of us.

Came here for a spot of lunch. Cannot recommend this place enough. Their menu was great: a real variety. One could stop in for coffee and cake, or a light lunch, or a full meal. We always like to see an all day breakfast on a menu, so that was a big thumbs up from us. As well as an all day breakfast, we ordered a macaroni cheese, fish and chips, and tempura chicken. The portion sizes were more than generous, making it super good value for money. Everything was delicious, and staff were very thorough in asking about allergens/customisation options for the dishes. We were too full for cake afterwards, but we took home some brownies, an empire biscuit, and a ginger slice. All yummy!

Called in here for a quick lunch. Was warmly greeted and welcomed and upon declaring allergies, there was no problem at all which surprised me for a small family cafe/ restaurant. I had anticipated a reluctance to meet my dietary requirements but instead, the menu was annotated and personalised with the food I could have which was fantastic. Everything was double checked with the kitchen and I was made to feel that I could enjoy being here whilst knowing I could eat here safely. We enjoyed our meals and chatted warmly with the staff about travel, the family business etc. I can wholeheartedly recommend this friendly cafe. They go above and beyond to provide home cooked food and even when busy, they make each customer feel valued and welcome. Thank you

Lovely wee cafe in Kinross. Great selection of dishes and very good value for money. Staff friendly and efficient. We have been in for breakfast and lunch and the portions are very generous. Definitely recommend.

A quite delightful cafe with friendly and very efficient young staff. Great selection of breakfast/lunches/cakes. I had the most delicious scrambled eggs on toast that I have ever had. If I ever visit Kinross again I will definitely frequent the Reminisce Cafe again.

Came in for coffee but couldn't say no to an all-day breakfast. Food was delicious and cooked to perfection. For 80p more you can add another item to the breakfast so I had haggis and black pudding which was a treat. Best breakfast I've had in a long time. Staff is friendly and attentive and the prices are great. So glad we found this place on our way through.

Went in on the 21st for coffee and cake. Great coffee and a lemon meringue pie were great but I wanted to compliment the staff...there were 4 young ladies on and they were so polite and nice...it makes a great change going into somewhere you get a smile and polite hello....they were really lovely....

Stopped in past Kinross on road to Edinburgh and was determined not to use services and to give the locals a chance after the pandemic. Very glad we did as we found this excellent cafe. I had myself the breaded fish which was recommended by the lady behind the counter. My wife had the steak pie. Both dishes were fantastic and very tasty. Staff were very friendly and efficient. Would definitely recommend this cafe to anyone and will be stopping in past on future visits to Edinburgh.

The best english breakfast we had in Scotland. We also ordered poched eggs which were cooked to absolute perfection. Great place !

While walking in the area with friends, we decided to stop here for lunch. We were made very welcome by the staff. There was a good selection of food on the menu to choose from. We each had a hot filled roll and a coffee which was very good. Food is reasonably priced.

We had a lovely meal at the cafe today. My son has additional needs and we were offered choices about cups or bottles and whether he needed alternative cutlery. Just wanted to say thank you for being so thoughtful. The food was tasty and well cooked, all very fresh. The place was clean and all Covid rules were followed.

Popped in on the way back from central Scotland. The cafe are taking their responsibilities during the pandemic very seriously, perspex screens separating tables etc.The home baking was FANTASTIC. We had a delicious rock scone with our teas and ordered empire biscuits to take away and enjoy later.

My husband & I had a very tasty lunch lots of choice on the menu exceptional portions but best of all the lovely friendly service lots of smiles and very careful about cleaning to a very high standard can’t wait to go back and try something else it all looked so good

Stopped for a break off the road home from England and found this jem of a cafe. All social distancing had been put in place even though this was to the detriment of the owners profit in numbers they could have squeezed in. Food very good and prices were very reasonable and have no idea how anyole can complain about the service as it was the best iv come across for a long time. Will definitely return

On a visit to Kinross and too early to check in to our hotel, we found this little gem while wandering around the town. We wished we hadn’t bothered stopping for our packed lunch on the way as this would have been perfect for a lunch break. I had a scone and my husband had an iced fruit slice - both delicious. We had a big pot of tea for two which the waitress kindly topped up for us when we had finished. Excellent value for money into the bargain. This will definitely be our go to place in future visits to Kinross

So unwelcoming, and no smiles forthcoming from the staff. It's a wonder that people want to come here more than once. With so much competition around,they can't afford to be so offhand, as service is key to business success. We will not be back.

Popped I here to meet a friend for a coffee and bacon roll, it is a really nice place with good banter from the owner, food was nice and well prepared, real butter on the bacon roll and coffee was beautiful, will be back for sure, thanks again, really nice cafe

Such a lovely cafe with a nice atmosphere. Came yesterday with my gran for a little bit of lunch, not expecting the food to be so amazing! Got the chicken with peppercorn sauce and it was to die for. The chicken was cooked to perfection, the chips were home made and the veg was perfect. It was better than restaurant food. Had a coffee after my lunch and it was also so good ! Left the cafe feeling full and satisfied. The chef is so good at his job! He also popped out to say hello. The staff are lovely and so friendly. Not to mention the price of the food was so good too. Definitely worth 5 star. Best cafe in Kinross!

Lovely cafe with really helpful owner/staff. Had bacon roll and scrambled egg roll along with latte and hot chocolate. I suffer from food allergies and cafe owner was so helpful to ensure everything was fine. Husband left glasses in a building near by and when he noticed building was locked. Owner phoned someone and they came back and opened up building. Can't thank her enough totally above and beyond! So helpful. We will be back.

Stopped in just for a drink and a snack and the carrot cake was probably the best carrot cake I have had and the coffee was lovely too. Really friendly staff, girl on the counter was very welcoming. Will be back!

Perfectly located in the centre of Kinross, this is an ideal place for refreshment. We had coffee and cake, both were delicious and the service was friendly and efficient. If you were walking the Loch Leven Heritage Trail around the Loch it would be worth the short detour into Kinross to visit this cafe on what was once “the Great North Road”.

We had coffee, tea and cakes. One of us also had the steak pie. Absolutley delicious, and everyone was cheerful and friendly. We had walked part way round the Loch and we're not relishing the walk back to the car. It was then the offer of a lift was made by the owner, such a kind thing to do. Thanks so much. We would all recommend.

We popped in for coffee & cake sign in window saying more seating upstairs ! As only seat empty was at door & it was very cold we started 2 go upstairs only for the elderly lady sitting at back table to tell us you can’t go up there when there are seats down here not that she offered us back table she was sitting at then lady came in 2 be told tables upstairs but no children up there she had a pram so walked back out shocking customer service from the bouncer or owner whatever she is won’t b back

Lunch on an icy day in Scotland. Had the soup and what a winter warmer. Staff very friendly and helpful a nice way to lunch in winter.

Reminisce covers everything. Their breakfasts are particularly good and to be recommended - only have the small one unless you have a healthy appetite. Everything is cooked fresh and there are lots of home made goodies to sample including home made soup.

Went with friends for the first time to this Cafe. It’s what you would expect in a small town, an average looking front, table at the window etc. However the food here is excellent. You don’t expect to get a three course meal in a small cafe never mind the quality of the food served. We had pate, steak pie followed by sticky toffee pudding. All the courses were good sized portions you certainly won’t leave hungry. The staff couldn’t be more helpful and amazing value. Yes there are more comfortable venues nearby but for great food and great prices doubt it this cafe can be beaten.

Visited recently for tea and cake, and was left a little underwhelmed. Its a small cafe, maybe 7 or 8 tables and the chairs are a bit cramped.

Was in here for lunch today good friendly welcome. Food was great all freshly prepared and mostly home made. Reasonable prices and rhubarb crumble to die for. The girl serving deserves a medal large party in just after us. They kept changing there order and girl just explained what the new item was and waited to see if they would change again she was a star smiled through it all. Will definitely go back.

Posto piccolo ma molto carino, personale molto simpatico, scelta di piatti ampia (anche per vegetariani), ottimo e abbondante cibo e prezzo decisamente contenuto. Assolutamente consigliato.

The staff went out of their way in terms of customer service, ensuring we had comfortable seating and that we were happy with it. The waitress explained all the specials and nothing was too much trouble. The food was excellent and the atmosphere friendly and relaxing. It was also great value for money. We were really happy with our visit.

We had two breakfast £6.95 each – 2 sausages, 2 eggs, 2 bacon, beans, fried bread, black pudding.

I visited the cafe today for the first time and can not begin to describe how wonderful an experience it was from beginning to end. I had contacted the cafe before to enquiry about catering for dietary requirements and the owner went out of her to way to send a menu and helpful information to me. She was also kind enough to give me advice regarding parking and local access. We had a lovely table by the window and was automatically warmed into the friendly atmosphere. It is clear that the cafe is a central part of the village and many residents were in enjoying a variety of different dishes. Although we weren't local we felt part of the place. The cafe is run by a lovely family including a couple, the lady's mother and her niece. I ordered soup and a toastie and both of these were brimming with yummy flavours. The toastie had loads of filling on it and my friend who had the baked potato with chicken tikka stated it was the best tikka she had ever tasted. The chef came out to our table to run a few ingredients by us to ensure our dietary requirements were taken care off. The lady stated her husband was a chef for 30 years and the food reflects this. We took cakes to takeaway and enjoy later and these are also homemade. I can not begin to say how wonderful the place is and we will be back again and again. We visited the upper floor of the cafe which is a tranquil place with beautiful seating and an extended menu. Thank you so very much for the lovely visit. We shall see you very soon!!!

We chanced upon this cafe as the boathouse was fully booked. Excellent food service and great value for money. Fish and chips for <£7 is virtually unheard of these days. My wife had macaroni cheese which was also very good value. A cheeky slice of homemade lemon meringue pie was taken away for later in afternoon. Superb all in all, we’ll be back.

Stopped in Kinross looking for cuppa. 3 adults a toddler and a baby. Couldn't do enough for us. So friendly including other customers who obviously use the place regularly. Great food. Will be back

Found this place while out for a walk. The cafe is spotlessly clean with excellent cakes, they also do hot food. Staff very efficient and helpful, they couldn't do enough for us. There were 10 people in our group a d we all left happy. Will definitely be back soon and would recommend it highly

10 of us from a walking group happened on this place today ...what a find !! Owner first of all took time out to ask other customer if they minded us bringing in a really friendly and well behaved dog , having got the thumbs up for that we all got seats . Nothing was too much bother despite us all ordering separately and varied orders to boot . One of our group wanted her coffee after her food but wee girl brought it with owner ( sorry didn't get your name immediately offered to replace with a fresh cup whenever it was required . hot water was offered to all tea drinkers and I even got another teabag free

After leaving our Travelodge we decided to avoid motorway services and called into Kinross, which is a lovely town.

Having explored Kinross Town Centre, four of us dropped in here for a light snack on a Sunday afternoon. Excellent coffee, Good menu too. I liked the family atmosphere. Hope to return sometime soon.

Four geriatric cyclists lunched here and really enjoyed the provision. For cycling the location is terrific being in the centre...

Went here still fuming after the boat house visit disaster .

First, the negative. This Café is pay by cash. We fully expected to pay by card, and were very surprised when we were told " sorry not possible" { moan over.!!}

We called in for breakfast because the local Travelodge we stayed in the night before did not do meals. This little place was a good find. Their breakfast was excellent and the staff were extremely friendly. We had a long chat with a lovely lady I took to be the proprietor about things to do and places to see while we were in Scotland.

This little cafe is a gem. The waitress is warm and welcoming. The place is clean and fresh with fresh baked goodies and a wonderful breakfast menu. Everything is made fresh to order and is wonderfully prepared by Chef Steve. Reasonably priced as well.

As I said, tasty food. Cooked fresh. All day breakfast is good value. The desserts are well portioned and good value as well.

I love homemade soup and this place is so good that they were sold out :(I had a chicken and mushroom toastie and my OH had the macaroni cheese special. Warm, tasty, hearty food served with a smile. I reckon this is a family affair and the lady who served us had a bit of patter, which i enjoy. We then had a rock bun and some carrot cake, also very nice. Still gutted about the soup though!

What a lovely experience to have stopped off at the Reminisce Cafe in Kinross.This family owned coffee shop provided a warm Scottish welcome to all who came through their door. Great food, great prices, great friendly banter.My wife and I stopped off on our way to St Andrews and decided there and then we would be stopping off once again on our return journey.It's not a huge place and is very popular with the locals. Don't miss giving it a try.

Came across Reminisce whilst out for a walk. So clean looking from outside so we decided to have a coffee. So glad we did- very friendly atmosphere, great coffee and homemade cakes. Tables are quite close together but that doesn't matter. The coffee shop is open for breakfast and lunch and seems to attract locals too which is a great recommendation in itself.

We have stopped off here on every Kinross cycling jaunt. All staff are Very friendly and offer some perfect refreshments and bites to eat. We always go for the Coffee and very very nice Carrot Cake. The photo attached was carefully crafted by the girl who served us.

Visited here for breakfast one Sunday morning and the food was fantastic. The tables are quite close together though this added to the atmosphere. The breakfast was very tasty, well presented and the service both efficient and friendly. A gem!

A pleasant little coffee shop and restaurant on the main street in Kinross. They serve soup, panini, baked potatoes, cakes etc. The special for the day when I went in was homemade macaroni and chips. The rock buns were very good. There are five tables each for four people. Although the cafe is on the main street where parking is not allowed, nevertheless there is a small free car park only a couple of minutes away. A nice place for a quick snack at a reasonable price.

I visited this cafe a few weeks ago whilst in Kinross. I was waiting on my parents who had an appointment in the town. The cafe had a lovely, welcoming and comforting feel to it. Just what I needed that day. The lady that served me was helpful and friendly, bringing a huge pot of tea and a toastie made with gluten-free bread. There were a few customers who seemed to be regulars and a nice atmosphere. I'm in Kinross regularly and would go back to this cafe again.

I regularly go here with my friends and family, I'm a massive fan of panini's and was very glad to see that there was panini's on the menu and luckily enough they didn't have cheese on all of them as I cannot eat cheese, I have found the best place for a chicken and mushroom panini and chicken tikka, They have made it my new favourite foods to get, Cannot fault this café as the food is to die for would recommend to everyone, if you are ever passing I must recommend you to go in and try the food as you will never want to leave as it is very nice and homely but the food is better than at my house xo

I have visited a few times now and have swithered over whether to leave a review. I find this place tricky to sum up.Food quality: Ultimately the food is very good. I've had a few different things now and they have all been tasty. Can't really ask for more than that.Value for money: This is a tricky one as the macaroni cheese costs the same as a Panini - great news if you're having the macaroni, not so much if you're having a PaniniStaff: The girl behind the counter seems nice enough but probably not best suited to front of house. The other two ladies spent 99% of their time standing at the tables of what appear to be regular customers while they eat. Maybe the customers in question don't mind but a conversation lasting the full stretch of my lunch probably isn't what I'd be after.Setting: It's a small place and they've done the best they could trying to fit in tables while not overcrowding. Bit crowded feeling if all tables are full though. It's clean and warm and inviting.So, overall, I would probably recommend it. Can see where the truth lies in some of the other reviews about regular customers being the focus - not the approach that should probably be taken but maybe passing trade just isn't that big a deal for this café.

I called in here for a coffee yesterday and was made to feel so welcome, anyone would think I was an old friend and not a first time customer. Coffee was really nice as was the rock bun and both were inexpensive. The cafe is not large but comfortable and spotlessly clean. You can even reserve a table! The only regret I have is not visiting before but having been once I will most definitely go again.

Homely atmosphere, especially if you want a bit of banter. Food is mostly home made and remarkable value for money. Lovely soup always available and great puddings, especially fruit crumbles. Prompt service and generous helpings complete the experience. The seating can be a little cramped at busy times but it does add to the friendly feel. Numerous repeat visits says it all.

If you like a bit of banter head there! There is an older lady works in here who is a bit 'cheeky' .. Am hoping it was regulars who were being 'bantered' was quite funny in a Fawlty Towers sense. 11.00 just the right time for a bacon roll I nipped in here for a snack and cup of tea . Pleasant staff well laid out cafe modern ,well lit ,clean and and a good menu . Served right away did not have to wait long for bacon roll to appear . Windows looking out as the world passes by on the high street. would certainly look in next time I am in Kinross.

Clean, great tea and coffee Wonderfull scone selection.Would advise you need to be hungry to tackle the full breakfast. The chef is immaculate every time you see him The young lass that serves remembers what you usually drink sometimes she can appear a bit dour.But the owners wife makes up for it by her welcome.

The excellent food is only exceeded by the service! We went for a walk and got caught in a sleet storm so we dashed in here to get out of the weather. We were only going walking so took no cash and the owners told us to eat now and pay later. That's true customer service! But what a surprise to find such excellent fare in such a warm and inviting atmosphere. The Caramel Apple Pie was worth crossing an ocean for!

I have been to this cafe several times and have always been impressed by it. It is a homely cafe / restaurant with very friendly staff and a wide selection of tasty food. There are always a few specials in addition to the regular menu. The puddings are the real highlight, especially the sticky toffee pudding. You leave the place feeling like you've eaten at a buffet. The prices are also outstanding, a main and pudding with some drinks is very rarely over a tenner. Highly recommended.

Lovely fresh food served by friendly staff. We use this coffee shop frequently and have never been disappointed. Baking is made on the premises along with home made soup. Mac Cheese is delicious!

I call in for quick coffee and scone mid morning.The tables are rammed in so tight, it is a struggle tn get seated. I am a size 6, so lord help anyone bigger.The coffee was lukewarm, and the scone, well scone is too kinder discription. A dry, lump of doughy mess. Which I left.Nobody asked if the was a problem. Staff more interested in chatting to their regulars. I will avoid in future

I arrived with friends, one of whom was in a wheelchair. Irene, Sandra and Ashley very kindly adapted menu to accommodate special requests and Stephen cooked beautiful meals for us all. The food was presented attractively and we were unrushed. The cakes and baking were fresh and gorgeous as always.

Was passing through Kinross when desperate for a coffee we stopped here. The idea was a quick coffee then on our way, needless to say we had a lovely lunch, dessert and coffee. Wonderful food good friendly service, and a goody bag full of devilishly delicious home-baking. We will make a point of passing this way again.

Met a friend here for coffee. Hadn't seen her for over thirty years so wasn't expecting a short visit. Had coffee and the tastiest shortbread I've ever had. The shortbread base was crispy not too crumbly and full of flavour. The toffee was by far the best I've ever had and the chocolate on top was definitely good quality. As it was a large piece I was expecting it to be 'sickly' and not finish it. Not in the least. Would definitely recommend this wee cafe. We were not rushed and the staff were very friendly. Thanks reminisce. I'm going to enjoy the piece I took away this evening :)))

My husband and I went here for the first time on Friday as the place we usually go didn't have any tables. Initially, the lady greeted us as we entered but it went downhill from there. Don't get me wrong the food was okay and the prices are similar to other places but we were made to feel like strangers. The women working there were in full conversation with customers who I can only assume are local- whereas because we are not from Kinross, we were not getting the same attention or effort from the staff. If we had felt more welcome then, I could have rated this place higher but it was an uncomfortable experience with okay food and average prices. My tip for the staff -- don't make some customers feel less important than others!
