what a wonderful café we have been to loch leven larder before but this café is a gem. The coffee was good and the cakes were delicious. The staff were friendly and very helpful they could of had a better choice in childrens drinks but really can't fault this place . Will be going back again as it was so good

We received great service at hotel when held my mum's wake there and also had a lovely Xmas meal there few days later. Would recommend and go again if in area.

Good food at reasonable prices served by friendly efficient staff in pleasant surroundings.

Excellent service and top notch food. Menu is traditional and maybe a bit on the limited side but everything I've ever had from it was superb (Hunters Chicken is often my go to dish and it's the best I've ever tasted here). My wife had a slight issue with the fish which was promptly resolved to our satisfaction. The staff are friendly and attentive and the atmosphere is cosy. I have recommended this place to friends and family in the past and would have no hesitation in doing so again.

Pop in for breakfast one Scottish and one plant based. Was spot on and friendly staff. Good quality food and nice coffee. Plenty of parking making it easy to stop. Good value

Excellent staff and great food. We ordered too much because it all sounded so good and we were hungry. The food was very good. The staff very welcoming and fun to talk with. Lovely place.

The food is really lovely both in the cafe and shop but the cafe and takeaway service just isn’t good enough - particularly given the prices. I hope this isn’t a case of a business thinking they can take custom for granted - the place was really busy - but people around us shared our view that we would think twice about coming back. We were there on a Sat lunchtime so we obviously expected it to be busy - we were sitting on the outside terrace as we had our dog with us. What was so disappointing was the staff in the takeaway who were just plain rude to my daughters. Couldn’t be bothered - said they just wanted to close up. The staff in the cafe told us we could order from the cafe menu then 20 minutes later said it was only takeaway - but others were being served. Such a shame.

Had a lovely relaxing afternoon's coffee here since The Court House redecoration which is so tasteful. The coffee's we had were very smooth and the vegan cake very delicious and was a big portion that we shared. Will go again for sure for breakfast or lunch soon!

Powmill is a favourite meeting place for lunch with old school friends however after today I doubt that we will return. It's fair to say that we were served efficiently by pleasant staff but the food left a lot to be desired. Pea and ham soup was tasteless, macaroni cheese lacked any sauce and was effectively a dish of stodgy pasta, and selling Halloween decorated biscuits caused us to wonder when they were baked. We left feeling very disappointed.

Always great food and service, been coming here for years and the veg is excellent (best tatties around!) Ignore the moaning minnies in other reviews, my parents go here once a month (dad is V fussy) and they have never had anything but a great experience and I love it because its dog friendly.

Chatty staff,nice ,very quiet restaurant.Good menu choices and excellent food.Hope to return again soon.

First visit. Beautiful location. Sat outside on a sunny day for lunch with friends. Lovely food and service. Would recommend

Stay away at all cost like a cult owners creepy stuck in 70s needs a deep clean food frozen not fresh

Last time I was here the fish and chips was really good. Afraid to say this time my wife had the fish and chips and it was cafe standard at best. I had the mac and cheese and I have to say this was the worst mac and cheese I have ever had in my life. Microwaved with what little sauce there was at the bottom of the bowl. The parmesan was probably fresh about a week ago and been sitting out since then. We won’t be bac. Pity as we are local. Staff (waiter, bar staff and receptionist) were pleasant enough though and can’t fault them at all.
