It's now called The Grouse Inn. The dining room was empty at 5.30 on a Wednesday evening. The young lady serving us was very polite and had a very pleasant manner. Two of us had the haddock and both agreed that it was the best battered fish we had enjoyed in many years! Fresh fish and a light and crunchy batter. Perfect! The third of our trio had the Greek chicken dish and it was also delicious. The fish and chips, complete with salad, coleslaw and tartar sauce was £12.90 and the chicken dish was £9.90. Exceptional value.

Lovely pub, love coming in and talking with the staff, also helpful with the MIXR app and understanding what events are on. Love the Newmarket

The food was lovely, hot and fresh, however, their system of queuing, ordering and paying leaves a lot to be desired. We waited in a queue for over 20 minutes before even ordering our food. You then have to rejoin the same long queue to order coffee and cake. If they had a separate queue for teas/coffee's/cake, people would be served much quicker and the queue would be reduced. Just a simple suggestion!

Excellent food and service. Prices very reasonable. Would recommend and return I hadn't visited this Brewers Fayre for a few years.

Popped in here recently for lunch as I had heard it was new, although I think it may just have new ownership. It’s a lovely down to earth cafe run by friendly people. There’s loads of space to move around and a good choice of food on the menu. I have no complaints about the place really. It’s slightly away from the main thoroughfare so might be easily missed, but I recommend seeking it out and giving it a try.

Food was OK but can't say the same for the staff. Had to go to the bar to ask for the bill as no staff came near us only to be asked how we were paying as they wanted us to all either pay cash or card! Another waitress said we could use both but had to pay at the till, not an issue, you would think! They still wouldn't give us a bill and refused to let us split the bill in 4, never had this issue before anywhere. We had to tell them what we'd had and they rung it up separately. Wasn't impressed with their attitude and the way we were spoken to. Will we be back? NO would we recommend? NO

Really nice Scottish tapas! Great for sharing, that way you get to taste more of the delicious dishes! All the dishes we had were super tasty and not one of them disappointed us.. that combined with super friendly staff just made it a superb experience!

We called in at Marks and Spencer’s cafe in the retail park in Falkirk today for a quick coffee. We didn’t sample any of the lovely rolls on offer but we had good coffee and biscuits. Only complaint the coffee mugs are big and we sat under a extractor fan and my husband was frozen. Otherwise very pleasant.
