It's excellent to have food and hot drinks available before the ferry departs for Harris. The kiosk is open depending on ferry times - and that depends on Calmac's tidal timetable. Excellent bacon roll with a substantial filling.

A good cup of coffee in an eclectic former church turned climbing centre! Service was friendly. Would return if in the area.

Although I love the kandy bar bakery, I always go to the one in saltcoats as they have a huge selection of tasty treats but this was first time in the kilwinning shop. The selection was rather poor and the display wasn't very nice, everything played in one large tray? A total contrast to saltcoats shop. Think I will just stick to saltcoats shop as they have a better selection!

Pleasant staff served us our coffee and melt in your mouth Croissants. Menu has a range of light meals all cooked fresh.

So good to know that you can have everything! So few places offer entirely gluten free options. Fudge donut was amazing!!

We popped in here for some desserts as we seen they had a special offer on. The service wasn't the best as they kept asking us repeatedly what we had ordered and put it through the till wrong. After a long wait we finally got everything we had ordered, the churros were delicious and great portion sizes for the price but the ice cream was rather flavourless, very milky with no sugar, wouldn't recommend the ice cream unless you like plain milky taste.

Found in the food court before the security checks. Great menu choices, the fish bap is certainly worth choosing, friendly staff and fairly quick service.

Whilst touring the area found this pub courtesy of “Google” maps. Right opposite is a small Pay & display car park with more spaces 40 metres away. At the time of visiting one hour was free provided you got a ticket, however a “local” at the bar informed me that from June they were axing this “free” period. It’s a low door into this old pub, but once inside I was welcomed by the landlord who confirmed that meals were being served. It was a darkish place but they were happy to chat and when my soup arrived it was piping hot and enjoyable. This being May in Scotland it was extremely stormy and a soup and a sandwich fitted the bill and not expensive either. Recommended. Photo is of Eider Ducks on the coast near the Ship Inn.

This cafe within the same building as the heritage centre is open Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday through the summer season and staffed by volenteers who prepare all the food, soup cakes etc themselves. This is good homely food. I was informed that on the days the cafe is not open there is a mobile van serving pizzas and crepes parked in the car park. There are also toilets at the centre which is a bonus.

He estado aquí un par de veces desde que me mudé a la zona. Buenos rollos de bacon y salchichas. Vale la pena una visita. Abre a las 5: 30 am entre semana

If you do one thing when in Glasgow, eat here! The food is unbelievably tasty, and the portions very generous. Not to mention the staff, who are lovely and so friendly. We’re tourists and received a lovely warm welcome. The restaurant has a warm decor and is also very clean. My partner had ‘the best burger he’s ever had’ and I had the traditional haggis with neeps and tatties (mashed parsnips/root veg and potatoes) with the recommended creamy whisky sauce, which was luxuriously indulgent. Word of warning though - the haggis as a main will leave you rolling around Glasgow in a state of delirium.

We went for the breakfast on Sunday, really excited to get a breakfast Yorkshire Pudding as it’s something we’d never done before. Sadly there were no Yorkies at the buffet even though they are advertised on the menu. The link sausages were also largely undercooked and the beans were a bit cold by the time we got to them. Staff were friendly and the place was clean.

My mother who was in a wheelchair visited this place with her partner to get a meal and drink and were seated at a table, they were told someone would come over to take an order they waited and someone came over and said they would be back but never came back eventually after 40mins they left as you can imagine not writing a good review .
