Four stars, because there's always room for improvement! Deanes at Queen's offers fantastic meals, I personally recomment their mushroom soup, it's amazing. Today I ordered Korean style chicken with salad and wasabi mayonaise as the main meal, and sticky toffee pudding with vanilla ice cream for the dessert. What can I say? The meals were delicious as always! However, in my opinion the music choice might be a bit odd for a high-quality restaurant like this. Jazz, in my opinion, would be a perfect match.

Flee this establishment! Very mediocre cuisine to say the least. The restaurant tries to give itself an identity by doing fusion cuisine but unfortunately the result is really not good and we left half of our plates which were served lukewarm or even cold. Dessert is not dessert. A melting heart that is not melting but rather industrial that you can make better at home. In short... horror! When you look at the map, there are too many proposals. We get lost! No wonder the taste is not there. Inexperienced and very/too amateur service. We almost feel uncomfortable. The atmosphere was otherwise rather warm due to the decoration, but the smell of frying oil from 2-3 days ago completely turned my stomach. Luckily, I only ate half my plate. Honestly go your own way. It's a shame for English gastronomy

Called today for drinks only. Pint of Guinness small bottle of prosecco and bag of crisps £16 .30. Never have I been charged much in a bar /restaurant. The prosecco was luke warm and could only drink half. It needs to be properly chilled!. Won't be returning at these prices lots of nice and cheaper places to visit.

We have no score for rooms as we have only dined at Downshire Arms. The building is quaint and the decor hasn't changed for many years but this is all part of its charm. It is refreshing to walk into the lobby which is accessed from the rear car park. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The food is excellent and always freshly cooked and piping hot when it arrives at your table. The staff are very friendly and very helpful. Nothing seems to be too much trouble. The car park at the rear is small and fills up quickly but there is lots of easy access parking within a few minutes walk of the Hotel. I really do recommend The Downshire Arms fir its great food and serv8ce, you will not be dissapointed!

Variety of different foods. A benefit is that breakfast is served til 3 which is great. They also can do gluten free and vegetarian/vegan foods which is a bonus for people with allergies or dietary requirements. Variety of cold drinks and hot drinks for anyone. Staff is very friendly and happy! Overall great experience

We had the vegan burgers with a couple of sides, plus dessert. The food was REALLY tasty and the staff friendly and helpful. Price was very reasonable. We were passing thought on our way to the Cairnryan ferry, but if we're within 20 miles again we'll definitely eat there. Thanks to all the staff!
