Great place, very clean tidy rooms and friendly staff, very good service. I will call again

We came here for lunch on the off-chance that they would have a table available for 2 of us. Happily they weren't too busy. There is a good choice of dishes on the menu and I was unsure which to select. My wife had the lamb shank with champ while I had the grilled sea bass with chunky chips. The food was tasty and there was plenty to eat. I couldn't manage the roast potatoes which came with my fish and we couldn't finish all the vegetable selection. Cost is £24 for 2 courses or £29 for 3. We only wanted a main course, so the cost was reduced to £19 each which is reasonable for a good helping of tasty food. We will return.

Out for a lunch today took a friend for lunch chicken stack champ tobacco onions and pepper sauce well to say the least champ ? Hardly any spring onions in champ chicken absolute rubberwith fatty stringy side told the young server couldn't eat it as it too rubbery went to reception pay bill well whoever she is needs training in customer service could not care less after speaking to someone comes back to tell me oh plenty of those dishes went out today with no problem to be honest it was my lunch I was paying for not everyone else and it was not cooked proper WILL NOT BE BACK

Easy to access and had my first meal there recently and thoroughly enjoyed it

A great hotel with a very reasonable bar and really good restaurant. We have stayed before and were lucky enough to be given the same room overlooking the water. The location is perfect for a walk to the harbour or into town. Staff are all friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this place.

Thank you so much for helping us celebrate our dad's 80th Birthday this evening. A big thank you to Sian, Abbie and the staff who made tonight so enjoyable and also a big thanks to the chef as the food again was up to a very hight standard. Absolutely appalled that someone thought handing this out and charging £14 total was exceptable. Curran court is very close to me and I've always been a fan. I am in absolute disbelief that anyone thinks this portion size was even close to being exceptable. The one not circled although not massive was very adequate and to be honest what I would expect. I honestly feel like someone was simply taking the piss. I am really not happy.

Only wish was fridge or microwave in room. But otherwise great amenities and service all over the hotel. Thank you.

All our meals were lovely tonight in Katie Jane's. Good size starters and mains. Young fellows that servered us were lovely, especially Marcus. Dropped one star as my cousin who is a dessert lover said she would have liked a bigger portion lol...all round enjoyable night, and Paul that was doing the entertainment was brilliant with a good mix of tunes. We'll be back

Quiet when we were in on a Monday afternoon but a nice place

I really do not like to leave negative reviews and usually don't even bother as I know every place has their bad days. BUT The curran used to be our favourite place to go to for outstanding meals. Sadly not anymore. This is the second time where my meal has been so bland that I had to complain. The salted chill chicken was hardly salted and very little if any taste of chill which was served on a bed of very bland salad. It was so bland that I asked for some garlic mayonnaise and what came was a "thimble sized" or what tasted like diluted salad cream costing and extra £2 !!! The chips were freezing cold and thoroughly tasteless. I had to go hunting for the young waitress who could not be found whereby the bar manager had to go and get her. The receptionist responded that the chips are "fresh frozen". Wrong if its frozen it aint fresh full stop. When I complained about the salted chilli chicken being totally bland I was informed that "this was their most popular dish and that there was rarely any complaints". Sorry but I don't buy this, as its the second time I had this dish and this one was the most blandish dishes I have ever had. I left virtually most of the meal untouched as it just wasn't inedible. The wife had the Roast beef which was average at best, the veg was boiled to a tasteless swimming in water, and the gravy boats are tiny miserable portions just like the thimble of diluted salad cream. C'mon Curran Court!!!. I know times are tight but you have let the standards slip way to far, and quite frankly I or my family wont be back until you change for the better. Stop penny pinching and cutting corners. Deliver top nosh and you could set much healthier prices that we would gladly pay for. Bring it back the way it used to be, not this low standard overpriced blandness you seem to be chasing. You are losing customers. Know this and do something about it.

Having read previous reviews they must have made improvements. I found the staff to be exceptional, attentive and friendly. The food represented value for money. The steak was superb and the portion size good. The hotel looked clean and efficient. If you are local, give it another go, I am not local but would go in again when I visit next time

Had the two courses, starter was salt and chilli chicken with Asian slaw, good size and tasty, followed by Turkey and Ham, was OK, Decor is great, very friendly staff.

Had a lovely meal..staff all lovely and stayed on after for the music.. lovely night.

After my last comments regards to the food! I felt it necessary to give a follow-up. Two families party of ten in total, after day out, we decided to visit the Curran Court for a meal, have to say major improvement on the meal since last visit, I had the Turkey and ham on this occasion, lovely, veg fresh this time! and appetising, one of the kids had the curry, unfortunately no kids portions with the curry so some left over, which several of us tried, lovely, warm sweet on offer with custard on this occasion again lovely, menu seems to have been maybe changed somewhat from last visit, and quality of food greatly improved, definitely heading in the correct direction 😀

This destination is an excellent choice for a holiday. It boasts a convenient location and offers a family-friendly environment, making it ideal for travelers with children.

I stayed for a night, I really enjoyed the stay, the beak fast and dinner were excellent. I definitely recommend this place.

Food was gorgeous. Went to a fathers day dinner. Had the goats cheese starter and the Waygu burger. Both stunning. Wife had the steak and banoffee pie. Both cooked to perfe tion. Waiting staff were amazing.

Was here on Sunday with family, from the beginning our experience was terrible. Some starters came out, then we had to wait a further 15mins for the rest of them to come out. Got to the mains and again my steak came out but had to wait again a further 15mins for the rest of the mains to come out, I sent 2 pepper sauces back as they were cold, all veg and mash potatoes came out cold. There was supposed to be chips and roast potatoes on the table but there was none set down. My father in laws dinner was nothing short of shocking, I have attached a picture. I had one bit of my steak but couldn’t eat it as it was freezing due to the rest of the parties food taking so long to come out! Every single person of our party (there was 30 of us) left extremely unhappy and couldn’t believe the whole experience was so bad!

Good clean venue, fair prices, good staff, very attentive

For me the Curran court was the best place for food anywhere in the north of Ireland but lately I think they have dropped their standards they are taking shortcuts to save money which I understand but for me the quality of the food is suffering I was there twice in 3 weeks and on both occasions my meals were average I went back the 2nd time because I thought the 1st time was a 1 off, so I happened to look at some reviews on line and what I read was not good so I will be staying away for a while, I do hope they will improve as I really did love the food they served.

Was there a few weeks ago food not as good as it usually is I think they have changed the chef and are cutting corners will give it another go but maybe not as often as I would have done there are quite a lot of bad reviews on trip advisor I think the owners should consider reading them I would hate to find somewhere else as my go to place for food.

It doesn't look very attractive from the outside, but once inside you will be surprised. Spacious rooms, nice pub. Unfortunately we were unable to enjoy breakfast due to the early crossing with P&O Ferries to Scotland.

absolutely horrific, i got chicken and received it pink. when i received another chicken it was still undercooked and i wasn’t taking taking my chances.

Nice family lunch at Curran Courts little bar/restaurant. Good price and everybody enjoyed their meals. I had the chilli prawns which where nice, although could have a little something on the ciabatta roll like some red pesto or something similar.

Extremely disappointed with Curran court as we have enjoyed our meals here before! They wouldn't even give a piece of pineapple in exchange for an egg on an extremely salty thin slice of gammon in replacement of an egg, gammon arrived to the table not a thing on the plate but gammon there was no veg and a small bowl of chips, son had chicken burger it was really soggy, 2 other meals were extremely tough chicken goujons, sorry definitely won't be back and would not recommend to others, extremely overpriced for all you get

It was a Mother's Day treat on Sunday where my daughter treated me to a meal in the Curran Court. It was lovely to see families out celebrating the special day. Amazing atmosphere where the staff were exceptionally courteous, professional, attentive and charming which is praise itself as it was one of the busiest times off the year. Appetising food, cleanliness throughout and quality time with my daughter made it a perfect day. Just so you know I was so full the cake was not mine

Sorry to be writing this as we used to love the Curran court. This time the food was truly inedible. The bruschetta was literally a piece of toast with a slap of tomato and mozzarella, my toddler could have made it better. There was no fresh basil, no balsamic glaze. The lamb was fine, but very fatty and overcooked yet slimy on the outside. It should be crispy on the outside and pink in the middle. The curry was by far the worst dish. It has clearly been made with precooked processed sliced chicken and was SO SO salty with overcooked veg. The vegetable side that came with my dinner was sat in a pool of water and were lukewarm at best. All in all gone hugely downhill and we will not be back.

Brilliant night stay. Been trying to book in on one of there deals for ages.great choice of food on menu for dinner and breakfast. Icing on the cake was Charlotte the singer.meet some people just had great night.rooms large so was the bed and shower..I will be back for sure xx

Called into Katy Jane’s for a weekday lunch and chose salt and chilli chicken and pork from the daily specials. Service was good and the food was served quickly. The salt and chilli chicken did not appear homemade it seemed like a bag of frozen chicken and was rather bland. The pork dish was a rather small portion size and again quite bland. At around £38 for 2 mains, a soft drink and a Guinness I don’t think it was value money and won’t be rushing back.

Went for lunch with my wife and little boy. Wife enjoyed her salt and chili chicken. However mine had little or no taste. I used to love going to the Curran court restaurant. Especially for the turkey and ham. Many of my family did, and many generations. But it seems whatever has happened the past 2 or 3 years, has resulted in their renowned meals becoming very bland. People used to come from far away for some of their dishes. The ham was hard, the gravy had little taste, the stuffing had no taste, the carrots were raw (I like aldente) and the chips were hard. Either they are skimping on the ingredients or someone has changed the makeup of things. Unfortunately won't be back. Shame, had been going since I was a young boy

We went to to the Curran court hotel last week it was great We had a Christmas dinner and vegetable soup it was so delicious. The staff very friendly and helpful too We will come back again

My daughter & I had a wee girlie day here…we both had the loaded fries dishes which were amazing! The meal was complimented with Christmas crackers & delicious warm mince pies! A lovely touch to get into the festive mood! Great atmosphere, with friendly staff. Thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon 🥰

We arrived here on a Monday, the day where they all year round have a senior menu, and it being the time of the year it was, it was a festive menu. With coffee and mince pie all inclusive. My friend had the fish and chips and I had a mellon for a starter and the beef, which was very tender and tasty. And I also enjoyed my coffee and mince pie. Michelle, our very smily server, entices you to come back here, because she is excellent.

The food was lovely and great portion size. Staff 1st class toilets well maintained. Could ask for anything more

Special Birthday Lunch (pre booked from menu) where do i start! i was first to arrive with the birthday girl....waitress was setting the table, never greeted us with 'hello' happy birthday! asked for water on table, arrived 30 mins later, no glasses! room cold/no background music...Food disgraceful, clearly all wholesale prepared food, vegetables dried out tasteless, large hair on one meal (told waitress who said she would let chef know) end of that! synthetic gravy, awful....standard of food shocking..frozen, prepacked nothing freshly cooked. Service poor took 45 mins after we had all finished eating before they came to start clearing table! no one came to ask if everything was ok/did we need anything (which i would have thought was standard)! bueger full of grissle not able to eat....sticky toffee pud...pre bought deff not home made was dry again not able to eat Again when paying he bill not asked if 'everythinhg was ok'....1 party came home and was sick...

Unbelievably bad for Sunday lunch. The chef has no idea how to do the basics. Roast potatoes, yorkshires and veg looked like they were knocked out by a twelve year old. Very expensive and poor quality.

Had a beautiful meal here, the food & service were outstanding. We had chicken wings to share for starter, so succulent & saucy. Then had the salt & chilli chicken for main which comes on a bed of asian slaw with curry mayo & sweet chilli sauce, absolutely gorgeous. My husband had the turkey & ham dinner which he really enjoyed. Staff are very friendly & welcoming.

A****** Call in on the off chance to get dinner not a problem staff was very helpful and friendly order meal I asked for a black and blue steak they asked the chef if he could do it came back not a problem starters came out first fantastic then came the dinner well what can I say the food 100% the service 100%being as two my steak cooked perfect with two teenagers that are asd the staff was fantastic anything they wanted it wasn't a problem will definitely be back thank you everyone

My wife and I went for our regular monthly Sunday drinks and Dinner. I was impressed that one of the Waiters recognised us and asked if we wanted our regular drinks, this is one good reason why you revisit a Restaurant apart from the excellent menu offers and very friendly staff. We always find it well priced and great value for money. We would HIGHLY RECOMMEND a visit to Larne and to The Curran Court Hotel. Looking forward to our next day out.

Having to attend a meeting in Larne I went to Curran Court for a bite to eat. I chose the lamb from the menu, and that was a good choice. I like this restaurant, not just because their standard of food is always good but also because the staff is very friendly.

A great overnight stay for truckers coming off and on the Larne ferry terminal. Certainly not recommended for anything other than that. Terrible location and an ugly, uninspiring building shoved between Larne ferry terminal, Asda and KFC, among other ugly buildings 🫣. We called in for a quick pub lunch. We had to wait to be seated as the only member of staff available was making herself appear to be unavailable. Menu consisted of basic pub grub fayre but without the usual accompaniments you would expect. We left because the chef was not flexible enough with regards to the bland, uninspiring menu! The decor is pleasant! My recommendation would be to stay away!

Our first time going out for Christmas dinner on Christmas Day and WOW from the moment we entered it was first class Proseco I on arrival and then shown to our table lovely wrapped gifts for my granddaughters with there name on ( hotel had rang me for names and ages) service was amazing and the food was gorgeous lovely and hot and plenty of it . Starters were so tasty , soup was lovely and hot and Lovely fresh vegetables with dinner meat was very tender and daughters steak cooked to perfection one of my granddaughters wanted roast beef and she had adult sized portion which she loved will DEFINITELY be returning thank you so much for great day

The dining room was nicely decorated and festive, also was warm and inviting. The wait staff was excellent and very friendly and brought our meals out promptly. I ordered the turkey and ham and it it was so tender and juicy I enjoyed every last piece of it . The desserts were also fantastic. I highly recommend the dining experience I had here and will definitely be back again. Congratulations to all Curran Court staff especially the chef.

Sad to say the restaurant has went down hill over the past year.. We have been going to Curren Court since it relocated years ago and unfortunately, the last two times we've went for dinner it has been a disaster. 6 family members, we had Orders wrong, approx 30 wait for starters, over 35 min wait between starter and main course then after finally giving off that plate still hadn't been cleared, we final got desert which was slop. Actually got a pic of it.. And it looks better than it was.. To complete the disappointment, the prices have went through the roof, and the bill was ridiculous. Lost a loyal customer.

Due to Pandemic Etc my wife and I haven’t been to Curran Court in Larne for quite some time so we decided to go last night and we were very impressed. Dining was in Bar Katy Jane’s which was totally new experience for us. From we entered Hotel staff were friendly courteous and efficient. Promptly seated, menu presented, drinks order taken and delivered. We couldn’t believe the speed at which our meals were served. I joked with the waitress she must have been expecting us it was that quick. Excellent food in pleasant surroundings. We had always been impressed with the food st Curran Court in the past and it was great to see that nothing had changed after such a long absence. Safe to say it won’t be as long again. Looking forward to next visit already. Thank you

We compared prices here to local Hotels in Larne area and found them to be best value so gave it a try. Very tasty food, good portions - and great choice of childrens menu. Will definitely return. Would have given it 5 stars - just service let it down slightly - side orders came 5 minutes into meal and they didn’t offer condiments - vinegar on table was empty. Need to refine service and attention to detail.

Went to Curran Court for dinner based on a previous lunch experience. Food was nice but sparse, as was the dessert. Handful of chips (I would say one potato chipped at the most). Wife got french fries which were very dry, as if they'd been on the heater for some time. I Had the burger with pork and it was quite nice. Wife had the steak and loved it. However, they need to up their portions as I went home hungry. Last time I was there the portions were great. Would I go back, probably not purely because of location and small very small portions. A few more chips I would've said yes.Staff were very nice and polite.

I have been coming here for years but am very sorry to say that it is a changed place, following presumably the change of ownership a few years back. One came here and was fulfilled with lovely hearty food. The portion sizes are now significantly reduced and the quality of kids meals and ingredients is very evidently diminished. Chicken chilli was soggy, lamb was to be fair, good and plenteous, kids ingredients looked standard frozen fayre. Waitresses very good and friendly. Overall very disappointed and can’t see myself heading back here

Food is good, a really nice substantial turkey and ham dinner. We go pretty regularly. They have also did a nice refurb over COVID in the bar. There is the bar menu and the restaurant menu and only the restuarant menu is hosted appropriately with being shown to a table so that someone is aware you are there. We went in to the bar one time and made someone aware at the bar that we would sit outside as it was sunny and we were there for food. 10 minutes later no one had came out. This would have been addressed easily by someone seating you and asking did you want drinks. Therefore we just left and went to the olderfleet that is also a bar but has a host waiting at the door to put you at a table. A much more comfortable and less chaotic setup. Also in this day in age it is not really acceptable sending people to the reception to pay - there should be a mobile card machine. In summary, good food, pleasent staff, but bit choatic at the start and at the finish of service. It is really rare we would leave somewhere.

My and i went to the restaurant today (Sunday) we rang first to be told we didn't need to book for Kate janes when we arrived at the door the first question was have you booked ?they told us there was atable in the big restaurant my wife who is a celiac ordered gluten free fish and chips ìt should have been called batter and chips big hard lump of batter hardly any fish chunky chips were raw in the middle all for £13

All the comfort you will need, if it's a holiday to Belfast or taking the ferry to Scotland, Curran Court Hotel is only 5minuits drive to the port.With very friendly staff who are there to meet and greet every guest that come to stay in there specious rooms. Or meet up with friends in there lounge bar for some thing to drink.
