Superb food, superb service. Great place.

The room was cold ,very over priced for the room,poor selection with the breakfast menu also cold,some of the staff so unfriendly not very helpful

We had an overnight arrival in Belfast Airport. Collected our car and before driving home rested in Ballyrobin Country Lodge which is a short car ride from the airport. A great breakfast was provided which is available until 11.00Hrs.

Stayed here a little while ago and apart from its easy access to the airport, it’s shocking! Breakfast was poor as the eggs were dry and stuck to the tray. Room had a lot of mold around the shower, and the carpet was stained badly. Evening meal wasn’t even edible. Glad I was only there for 1 night.

Perfectly located for airport and great food and service

Great food, great staff, good location, plenty of parking. 4 of us booked for Sunday lunch. Been here a few times and never been disappointed. 2x turkey and ham, 1x daube of beef and 1x salt & chilli chicken. Their potatoes and gravy is on a different level to other places we've been and my beef was probably the best I've ever had. We all had chocolate brownie with ice cream for dessert and it was superb. Highly recommended for a nice relaxing and very satisfying Sunday lunch.

Terrible food , Burger tasted funny burnt on outside.no sauces available.ie red or BBQ etc daughters chicken one was as bad .peppered sauce was terrible and tasted so so funny.not sure wat it was . Always drive past this place going to airport and will do again and advise anyone the same

The worst meal I've ever had. Fish cakes over cooked snd no sign of fish. Dry overcooked hard chilli chicken strips mostly coating and little sign or taste of chicken. Went there years ago but the chef has obviously gone. Completely ruined our anniversary as I was sick later.

My sister and my I were at the Ballyrobin for afternoon tea today. I have to say everything was lovely, from the young lady who served us to the food. The service was very good, and she kept checking on us to see we had everything we needed, but not overbearing as some can be....she is an asset to the restaurant. The food was lovely, we were not staying so can't comment on that. The reason for not giving a five-star review was that it was a bit noisy at times being so close to the airport, but I know this was not their fault. We will be back again THATS FOR SURE.

Has this place changed hands or chef? I''ve been coming here for years, and I have never had such mediocre food. What was normally a plate full of very well cooked and well presented food was this time like a school dinner. The roast beef was tough and chewy, and the plate looked lifeless. The peppered beef was a dish of tasteless watery sauce, with what looked like slices of the same tough overcooked roast beef. The small serving of rice didn't help the look of it. Not sure I'll be rushing back.

Called into this country lodge/pub as it advertised meals & snacks. My partner & myself entered the premises, made our way to the bar where we waited for several minutes before being approached by the barman whose greeting resembled that of sour yoghurt. Politely asked this person where we order some food, "are you wanting dinner" we replied bar-snacks or similar would be good thanks". The barman informed us he would have to go & check bearing in mind the time was around 7.30 pm. He returned with "we can do a starter or a dessert" Needless to say we left, the enthusiasm, lack of hospitality welcome was too much to bear. Never again will give this place a thought for a stop-over for food & drink. Abysmal service & welcome.

Breakfast was ok. My room was beside the kitchen fan, which roared till almost 10pm... not good when I was trying to sleep after coming off a long flight!😡

Stopped off at the Ballyrobin on the way to the airport and our meals were first class. Staff attentive and friendly. You can never go wrong whether it's a meal or a quick snack Ballyrobin has never let us down yet. I would highly recommend it.

A nice place to relax and food to enjoy.

Stayed here early May. Not ideal place to stay if not got a car as £9 to Airport, we got the bus into Belfast every day so had to get a taxi from Hotel to Airport. Room was ok and we only had breakfast which was nothing special and only choice of egg was scrambled which was overcooked.

Very close to Belfast International Airport. Friendly staff, nice room, good food, bad WiFi unfortunately, not the speed but disconnecting all the time. Free parking. Very good breakfast

We stayed here for one night. Had the steak dinner and a bottle of wine it was amazing service very good. Our room was spacious and comfy and clean. After our great steak dinner was looking forward to breakfast the next morning what a disappointment. Everything was deep fried and the scrambled eggs were like rubber. No fried eggs or poached option. This sort of spoilt our stay.

Good value steak night and overnight stay.Dinner was very tasty with attentive staff.Room was large and bed comfortable.Breakfast was self service and basic.Cooked food wasn’t good even though it was only 20 mins after breakfast started scrambled egg was dry and no taste. Ting on reception was warm and welcoming when we arrived.

We had a family meal in the Ballyrobin Hotel tonight. I'm glad to say that everyone had a great time and a lovely meal. The place has been nicely decorated and has a comfortable atmosphere. Service was really good. Everyone enjoyed their food, one of my group is gluten free and they said that the gluten free vegetable soup was delicious. I must admit that my starter which was Feta and Beetroot salad was just OK but everything else was great. I would definitely go again and I totally recommend this place to anyone.

The steak was excellent, as was the wine, and staff were very attentive.

Such a quaint wee hotel, 800 metres from international airport. You can sit on the Courtyard and watch the planes land. Food is delicious and nothing is a problem for any of the friendly staff. On their website they do fantastic offers. We love it snd the prices are very reasonable. 5 stars.

After a very stressful experience with a redirected flight due to a storm, I booked a last minute room here. All of the staff were so kind, friendly and accommodating.The room was perfect and very clean with a lovely shower. They have a bus that will take you to the airport which is very nearby. I really appreciated the warm hospitality during a stressful time so thank you to everyone at Ballyrobin!

Booked last minute after a cancelled flight and the staff member who looked after us was incredible- I didn’t get her name unfortunately. The room was great, clean and spacious and we were even asked if we wanted food cooked after arriving at 11pm! They organised transport to the airport the next Morning and the location is perfect for early flights. While I hope I’m not in that situation again I would absolutely stay here if I was- thank you!

I’m giving it two star because it was edible. I’ve been going here for years. It used to be a la carte sort of food; stuff you wouldn’t make at home. We were given the menu and five dishes weren’t available. So not a big choice. It was things like burger and chips, fish and chips, peppered chicken…just basic stuff. We ordered starter and main course. Starter came out within about three minutes. Maincourse came within 15 minutes of ordering. Just frozen pre made stuff. Fish and chips was £16.50 and tasted of NOTHING. It’s the sort of standard you’d get from a food van. I’m not even kidding. Waitresses just put bottle of wine on table, didn’t pour for you. Just poor service and poor food. We didn’t get food poisoning so giving it two stars. We’ll never be back. It was funny at one point because REM Everybody Hurts was playing in the background- fitted the mood perfectly lol. Me and my husband and two hotel guests were there. Just dead. No atmosphere. Sad like.

We opted for the Christmas Lunch Express menu. A mug of vegetable soup with a part baguette (sadly not sourdough as advertised) & a dish of fries, turkey, ham, stuffing & gravy & tea/coffee for £10.95. This was amazing value for money. The soup was bursting with vegetables. The dinner was filled with fries, huge chunks of turkey breast & ham, cocktail sausages & was extremely filling & delicious. A nice big pot of tea to finish. Service was quick, efficient & friendly. It was a bit cold in the restaurant. Maybe if the fire was lit it would help. Overall a great lunch & we’re going to book an evening meal as their menu is extensive & reasonable. Would definitely recommend!

Quite cold in the restaurant. Unfortunately the fire wasnt lit which previously was a big attraction in this country house restaurant. Not much of an atmosphere. Staff very pleasant. Food was ok. Disappointing that there wasnt a set price for the xmas menu unless for groups of over 10 people.

Ballyrobin is a lovely relaxing home from home hotel. The staff are so friendly and helpful. We have spent different weekends here and it's so tranquill and relaxing. Ting and her team are simply the best.

Classy place mediocre food. Food quality more suited to a “fast food restaurant” Chicken dishes all goujons in disguise in our experience. Chips tired & dry. Gammon dry & so tough I could not cut it. My expectations were higher for this lovely venue.

We called for dinner on Sunday 9/7/23 for at 7pm and had pre booked for our party of four. Having dined here a number of years ago I had recommended the restaurant to our group and unfortunately lived to regret it. This was not simply an underwhelming experience it was a poor one. The restaurant was untidy, dirty and smelt like a greasy spoon. . We were seated in a large room adjacent to a large sun room. There was absolutely nothing appealing about the room and we were tortured with flies and bluebottles and when we drew this to the attention of the staff their suggestion was that they would close the conservatory windows. The food was very poor. Two of our party had a turkey and ham stack as there were insufficient ingredients remaining for a roast dinner. This was edible.. just One person had fish which was coated in a heavy thick batter and the other person had a chicken dish. Not one of the plates s had any salad or veg garnish. The bill when it arrived did not match the transport cafe experience.

Terrible food and awful service.Food was cold and undercooked, stale leftovers for an Asian slaw. The service was awful, we had to call waitresses to take drinks orders/tea,coffee orders and there was mistakes made with both food and drinks orders. I will not be back to this restaurant anytime soon.

Went for lunch today with friends and had an enjoyable meal. There is a reasonable choice on the menu and all our courses were decent quality. Service was good and pleasant surroundings though the decor is a bit tired looking

The coffee and scones were really good. I have to say though that they could do more with the appearance of the place. Theres shabby chic and then theres just plain shabby. I had been before and it was good but I think it has run down in its appearance unfortunately.

Ate here twice on a recent visit to Northern Ireland. It was excellent value for money and the service was really good. The evening menu is varied and caters for all tastes. I had a roast dinner and pavlova for dessert. Good sized portions. Everyone enjoyed the meal. I returned for breakfast with friends and everyone enjoyed the Ulster breakfast. Again a good selection. As I was staying at the lodge I had dinner and breakfast here. The meals are always of good standard and reasonably priced. The feathered steak is good, as was the garlic mushrooms. Large Ulster breakfast will set you up for the day

Lovely large room, king size bed, superb staff, terrific food. We were there on a package to attend The Open Championship at Portrush and met wonderful people at the hotel and that made it even better.

The staff were very friendly & made you feel at home. Our dinner was amazing!! It was cool to eat and see the planes coming in for a landing. The airplanes were not bothersome at all noise wise.

Having been passed Ballyrobin so many times on our way to and from the airport over the years it was finally give it a go before flying out recently. The eateries at the airport are (as with many airports) comfortable above average pricing for the what they offer and equally as comfortably below average in terms of quality, so a change of plan was long overdue.

Haven't been for a while as hit and miss in the past for food but decided to call for Sunday lunch. Nice sunny day and we sat in the conservatory. Food was nice. I had the goats cheese starter followed by chicken supreme and bakewell tart for dessert. Staff were lovely.

We were there for dinner. All for of us were very pleased with what we got. We ordered burger, lasagne and feathered steak. Everything was top of the line. Straff could have had more knowledge about the beer they had, but that didn´t really matter that much. I can really recommend this place for dinner.
