The best restaurants serving British food in England

We arrived just before closing, so chose from what was already cooked. I had a battered sausage and my husband had a cheese and leek pie, which he said was delicious. We both had chips, which were a huge portion, and really good.

We have eaten here for Sunday roast and enjoyed a recent 'round the world' evening (Caribbean). The staff are wonderful ... really welcoming and attentive throughout. The food ..... omg!! You can smell how wonderful it's going to be, as soon as you park your car ... It is absolutely delicious 😋... the roasts are gorgeous, loads of tender meat/choice and beautifully cooked veg.. with a huge yorkshire pud ... that I wish I could master, but why bother when you can come to the L&R!! 🤔😁 The themed nights are tapas style with loads of meat/veg/hot/cold options and believe me.... each dish just absolutely melts in your mouth, and all are all so full of flavour and perfect balance of herbs/spices.... just simply delicious. Before each time we've been, we said to each other... 'we're not having desert' ... then seeing what comes out of the kitchen.. that statement went out the window!! Once you've finished, you can also then take home a selection of goodies ... pastries/pies/cakes etc from the fabulous deli counter... and I challenge you not to eat them before you get home ... or eat them as soon as you do get home ... as they smell, look, and taste so delicious. There's a fabulous choice of beers and lovely wines. Please visit, you will not be disappointed. Thank you L&R... keep up the good work and delicious food... and as Annie said .... we'll be back!! first time popped in-most tables were already taken having breakfast; always seek decaffinated coffee(from machine-not sachet!!) and said to us-"no problem". 4 staff busying around in kitchen area to cope with orders. Few minutes later large cups duly presented to us with a biscuit-nice touch and without asking -a jug of hot water(rare sight) The coffees were excellent. worth going back for a meal someday.

Excellent cafe serving home made food. Good value for money would defiantly return again when in the area. Recommend the Maria's full breakfast.

I'm a regular at P&P, usually for a coffee/chocolate and occasional snack, sometimes alone with my baby or my daughter. It's a great little place, excellent drinks (hot chocolates are AMAZING!) staff are friendly, it's clean too. The fruit has been dropped from the children's menu which is a little disappointing but my daughter likes the smoothies anyway. Service is occasionally slow when they're busy but I'm rarely needing to be elsewhere when I go (and it's worth the wait!).

A charming shop with cordial and nice sellers, the fudge is very very tasty, there are a variety of flavors, it's worth traveling especially to Greenwich to buy from them.

Fantastic little cafe!! Don’t normally write food reviews on TripAdvisor but considering the last 18months we’ve all had, I think more people need to pay RT’s a visit. Excellent food and great staff to go with it. Will definitely be back!!

Visited Sunday and had a delicious Sunday Roast. I had Beef and my husband had lamb. Served with fresh vegetables and traditional Yorkshire pudding. The Chocolate cake that was served as dessert was also delicious, according to my husband! Great value and highly recommend.

To start with this is a cafe not a restaurant. So they specialise in lots of different sandwiches. They also serve jacket potatoes and soup, plus cakes. I have been twice now in the last couple of weeks and both times the food and the staff have been great. Today I was with two other people (one who is a very fussy eater), we all ordered different meals and we were all really happy with what we had. They cater for meat and fish eaters as well as veggie and vegan people as well. I don't think that they serve GF bread but they do a good selection of jackets so no problem there. The only slight drawback is the size. You can end up waiting for a table though you can order to take away as well. Prices are good too compared with the town I live in. So, basically a no frills cafe with great food and great service. I would recommend this to almost anybody except that the toilet is not wheelchair user friendly.

We arrived to an empty car park in a group of six cars, when we entered the shop 2 or 3 at a time we were told we should of phoned ahead of arrival we were made to feel un welcome and will never use this place again we were all really shocked at how rude the owner was I would not recommend this place at all shockingly bad attitude.

If you've never dined at the Krafty Kitchen you don't know what you are missing. The food is beyond good it's fantastic. It's tasty and plenty of it at very reasonable prices. The restaurant is spotless and the staff are very friendly. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Popped in for coffee and cake when visiting the area. The lady who served me was so friendly and welcoming, we had a chat about the cakes and the weather. I had a slice of clotted cream cake and a coffee - the cake was one of the best I’ve had in a long time. Wish I’d stayed for a full lunch. Would thoroughly recommend.
