The best restaurants serving British food in England

Fantastic! I’m a regular visitor to this shop and I’ve never bought anything that hasn’t been perfect. From the “Cumberland curl”, a variety of marinated chicken breasts, lamb joints, bacon (including treacle and breakfast), a variety of different pies, “chilli growlers”, marinated lamb shanks and so the list goes on. Absolutely first class. I’ve been nudged into writing this review after my husband tried their new spicy lamb pie. He said it was “excellent” with “great spices”. All this with such friendly, professional, informative service. All I can say is if you’re in Windermere don’t miss a visit.

We were staying the night in the village and rang ahead to check they would be doing food as we didn't want to get stranded without anything for dinner. They were helpful on the phone and friendly in person. We got pizza to takeaway and a very quick drink whilst we were waiting. The pizza was very good indeed and if we hadn't been knackered we'd happily have had a longer visit.

Great new owners, NOTE telephone number on trip advisor is for the old owner so please don’t call it.. Shop is based conveniently in the car park with easy access. Serving hot and cold snacks drinks and must have beach essentials. Enjoy a stroll down to the town or a stroll to the beach, great location for exploring the local area.

Went for breakfast was very nice food. Staff were very nice and friendly. Had a nice atmosphere would definitely go back.

Great little restaurant with friendly staff. We just dropped in on the off chance and found this little gem of a place. Steak was tender and well cooked, we had with it a great bottle of Malbec at a really reasonable price. Will definitely be going back soon.

Came across this lovely pub on our visit to Louth. First visit we had a few beers. Another table were enjoying a Christmas lunch, which they said was delicious. We booked for the following day and let me say we were not disappointed. Such friendly welcoming staff and the food excellent. Open fire not just warm but given a real cosy Christmas feel! Very clean! Toilets spotless. Would highly recommend. Hopefully see you again soon Thank you for your hospitality guys!

The decor is lovely, the staff are friendly and the meal was excellent. I highly recommend your afternoon teas here. Will definitely be coming back

Adecuada inicio - grub formulada en su mejor. Era un servicio realmente bueno, una persona de nuestro grupo es alérgica al gluten. Después de mencionar a Mike todos estábamos completamente atendidos y muy feliz! La alternativa verdadera ventaja sobre la opción libre de gluten. Seguro que volveremos, delicioso

Desayuno de carne Halal. . bien presentado y delicioso. El personal era muy atento y la comida salió caliente. El lugar en sí estaba muy limpio y espacioso. Muy amigable con los niños. Los baños estaban muy limpios y olían muy fresco.

La comida es maravillosa, servicial y amable. La burbuja era como cocinaba mi abuela. Sin duda recomendaría a cualquiera en camden

Nice staff very helpful, had a bacon baguette, bacon was very fatty, spoiled was was otherwise a decent sausage and bacon baguette.

Hemos disfrutado el maravilloso pan y bollos de Jane y Craig durante un tiempo, maravillosamente hechos y deliciosos, con un servicio tan amable. Sin embargo, mi hija de 12 años y yo nos unimos recientemente a uno de sus cursos de panificación por primera vez y tuvimos un día maravilloso. Hicimos tantas golosinas y Craig y Jane fueron muy generosos con su tiempo, conocimiento y experiencia. Aprendimos mucho y trajimos a casa tantos panes y bollos diferentes, fue una excelente relación calidad-precio y nos ha dado una habilidad para toda la vida. ¡Gracias a los dos!

Afternoon tea with my wife for her 70th birthday. Prebooked with Jan. Food was absolutely first class (epic scones Dave) and plentiful. Came away with a box full of cakes. Nothing was too much trouble for Jan with decorations to match the occasion. Thank you for a wonderful experience.
