As soon as you step through the door you know the place is well run; with the shop shelves beautifully stacked. All the prices were very reasonable too. Like the shop, the cafe was spotless where we enjoyed coffee that was full of flavour, but not bitter. It was obvious the whole business was being well looked after and clients were made very welcome.

Two of us went for a late mid week lunch and had an enjoyable meal. I had the roast veg and brie panini which was very tasty and came with a nice side salad. My husband had the Cajun chicken which came with cauliflower gratin and potatoes. The staff were lovely.

The coffee served here is absolutely fantastic. I'm always met with friendly and knowledgeable staff that know how to make a decent cup of coffee. I highly recommend a visit.

Popped in to have breakfast here with the family midweek. Two full breakfasts and smashed avocado and egg on toast for the boy. Service was friendly and quick and the food really well cooked. Would highly recommend. There is plenty of choice for breakfast and lunch and the drinks menu is also extensive. Our breakfast was cooked fresh to order

Great coffee, good spot to sitt.

The cheese is delicious and so are the pickles. I have eaten here twice. Each time, there was nowhere near enough bread - one and a half slices per person, and tiny cheese biscuits for a generous supply of cheese. This place is not cheap and I would rather have more bread and larger biscuits to go with the cheese. Each person is given only one knife, when several would be better, when moving from a blue cheese to a white cheese, for example. There was not enough butter for the table and a tiny little piece of fruitcake, although it tasted good. The new system of hosting groups only after shutting the cafe is fine, but I did not want to hear a long story about the business history when there was an agenda for the event on the day and an opportunity for group members to socialise.

Paid over £9 for bowl soup with no bread ( they looked at me like an alien when I asked for gluten free bread). Delicious but expensive. Very young staff with music blasting. Not sure would bother again

Excellent place for a range of options… • coffee is very good and usually go here after Park Run • great selection of breakfast and specials - have regularly eaten here on weekends • afternoon tea. This was the most recent visit to collect an afternoon tea for a baby shower I had planned, couldn’t fault it. Cake selection and sandwiches were amazing. Heather the owner is first class in terms of friendliness and service, highly recommend you visit here.

I have been here more than a couple of times now and tried more that one thing from the menu but mostly breakfast. The staff are friendly and accommodating. The food ingredients used are top quality and cooked to perfection every time. Its not a wonder the place is busy. Also value for money. Can’t wait to try there roast dinner. Great job guys 🤗

This was so welcoming into what felt like the Chef’s home. It was cosy, the ambience was superb. The food was truly delicious and what was real, we felt we were part of the family. The tastes of the various dishes was just amazing and every dish was so different. The Chef was accompanied by his lovely wife and son who were amazing and helped make the family atmosphere with such a famous chef at the helm.

Great spot for coffee/tea and an afternoon snack. We stopped by with friends after checking out the local area. Make sure to pop in and say hello to Conrad.

The lunch we had at Cradle was nearly sublime. Reassuringly one choice only re starter and main. The Carrot & Apple soup was rich and deeply good; the accompanying bread and pickled salad a wonderful treat. Then later, as utterly made to order, the main. Tasty food. But overpriced for poached egg. Empty table next to us hadn’t been wiped, and waitress took too much interest in the screen when I was asked to add 10, 15 or 20% service charge.

After a long walk we arrived just before closing. We asked if they were still serving coffee and they welcomed us in. Very friendly staff. Lovely cafe. Scones delicious. Would definitely go back

Was lovely but not enough snacks would have lik a toasted teacake but not on menu opted for cake it was delicious not too crowded staff friendly and helpful
