Popped in to have breakfast here with the family midweek. Two full breakfasts and smashed avocado and egg on toast for the boy. Service was friendly and quick and the food really well cooked. Would highly recommend. There is plenty of choice for breakfast and lunch and the drinks menu is also extensive. Our breakfast was cooked fresh to order

Six of us had a really excellent tapas evening last Friday. Individual tapas were so tasty after a welcoming Sangria. Jane and Sue worked so hard looking after us (and everyone else) - we had the whole tapas selection - and some more - with a few bottles of wine. Great atmosphere. Such a good night! Highly recommend the event - we will definitely return.

Living locally we are lucky enough to visit regularly and either indulge in one of the many types of breakfasts - or have difficult decisions to make in choosing the many pastries and cakes on offer during the day for a coffee and a chat.Caroline always make you feel welcome and special and we regard our visits as a treat to ourselves - and always come away with something for later !Once tried you will always return !Very highly recommended.Peter and Gill

My mum, myself and a friend came here for breakfast before we went Geocaching (treasure hunting) around Bottesford. Right away we were greeted with a warm smiling face, always puts us at ease, we didn't feel rushed to order at all.We had a mixed breakfast, I was persuaded to try the sausage patty - sausage meat made as a circle, some toast (Brown - not bitty haha), and some hash browns for me! (I wish i got some scrambled egg on the side though!) The food was quite yummy! I ordered a cheese roll to go and we all had some cake, very nice!We really liked it here so much we even came back later for sandwiches for dinner! The overall Poppy theme was really nice in here, especially given the commemorative day we came on.Would highly recommend this place :) The only minor critism I would have is the acoustics inside were quite echoey, slight trouble for our deaf accomplice to hear when ordering. 5/5 service for me!

Quick and friendly service. Decent fry up although not sure about the sausage patties. Well worth a stop on a lazy Sunday.

Stopped in Bottesford while driving from the Peak District to Cambridge. My dad had a brilliant BLT and I had a gluten free Club sandwich. The balance of ingredients was perfect and it was made fresh to order. The milkshakes are also really good. My dad also had what looked like a homemade slice of cherry pie.

Whenever I visit this cafe there produce freshly made up food, home Made food, a little expensive but I never have any complaints. Staff friendly. You have to wait a little while because it is freshly done

Popped in with my Dad and daughter for lunch - they both had paninis that were excellent value for money - dad's had a really good amount of brie in. I had quiche, salad and fries and the quiche was definitely homemade. People on the table next door were having an american pancake, syrup and bacon breakfast which I will have next time. The lady who served us was very chatty and attentive - would definitely recommend.

Found this place by accident, tucked away down a side street, so glad I did! All the food is home made, even the cakes (very scrummy). Really good portions, ranging from jacket potatoes, paninis, cooked breakfast and ‘specials’. Various hot and cold drinks and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Reasonably priced and will definitely go again.

The Nags head is a community owned pub that is currently available to purchase. There is a clearly a lot of pride taken in this pub by the current ownership with the toilets very clean. We only stopped here for a drink so can't comment on the food however it was well priced and smelt nice. There were plenty of inside tables in this sizable building but the outside area was not the largest. Overall it is worth supporting this community venture and will be back in this family friendly establishment.

Called in for a quick drink with friends and a bite to eat. The staff here are always friendly and a table normally easy to get. The outside seating is great when the weather is right, on the day of our visit it was wet so sat inside. Pre Covid there was always a reasonable beer or two to choose from, often from Langton or Grainstore. These days it is a bit hit and miss miss often just the lamentable Doom Bar. Luckily there was a nice Grainstore on. Food selection offers something for everyone, we had a a range of dishes, all came together and were well presented, hot and tasty. This is always a steady place to go, not badly priced and always consistent. Sunday lunches are lovely as well…

I've been coming here regularly since it opened and they do the best coffee. Sadly the service on my last 2 visits has been lacking. On Sunday I came with a friend for Sunday lunch. The girl took our order and the drinks arrived within 10 mins or so. We finished our drinks and still no sign of any food. I had a receipt with the time showing so, after 45 mins, I asked how much longer our food would be. The waitress then said there is a 45 min wait for food. I said we were not told this when we ordered which would have been helpful. The girl said she would push our order through and to be fair gave us a free drink. The food arrived after 1 hour. Today I went in for coffee and cake. This time it was the coffee that was very slow. I had finished my cake and was just sat waiting for the coffee which arrived after 25 mins. Today wasn't particularly busy but I would never come during my lunch hour from work to eat because of how slow the service is. I still love the place and will come when I have plenty if time but it appears there are staffing issues.

Googled a dog friendly pub for lunch as we were in the area. The website stated 12pm opening on Wednesday (the day we were there), but the pub was closed. The sign on the door said they opened at 12pm too. Everything was locked and someone from the business over the road said they opened at 4pm. Please update your opening times when they change.
