Easily the best fish and chips ever!

Not amonst the best in the area for quality and price, unfortunately. Staff were pleasant and friendly, though, and the shop appeared to be well-kept and clean.

stumbled upon this hidden gem on holiday. We had fish and chips, tartar sauce and peas. Batter perfectly crispy, fish tasted fresh, chips also delicious. staff and chef very friendly and welcoming. that's how a restaurant should be.

Got take away fish and chips here twice which I went in to collect. Both times they have been very friendly and obliging. The fish was fried fresh to my fussy specification (thank you). Portion side is very decent. Cod, chips and sausage was £13

We've been coming the the Claygate Fish Inn since we moved here over 10 years ago and always have an really lovely meal, cooked to order and served with a smile. A fab family run business who clearly work hard!

Ordered large haddock and large chips with a portion of curry sauce; the portions were indeed large. Fish was lightly battered and chips were not greasy. Service was friendly and quick. Cash only.

We had a long layover at Manchester Airport traveling from the USA at the end of April to Spain, so we were sent to this shop for fish n chips by a local. It is the best fish n chips we ever had, and the people that run this place are the nicest people you will ever meet anywhere. They went above and beyond with the hospitality they gave us. Yes, it cost us many ££££ in taxi fare to get to this shop from the airport. It was well worth it, and next time we are in UK, we will definitely stop by again. It's nice to support local hard-working owners who take great pride in what they serve. No wonder they have so many repeat customers. Mahomed (USA)
