Went with parents, had the carvery which was excellent as usual, dad had gammon, egg and chips. Food piping hot, all great quality. Staff friendly and welcoming especially Pete the chef who served the carvery and came round to check everything is okay. Well worth the money and a trip if you are in the area. Cannot praise the place enough.

Nabo amarillo sosa aguada. Estaba casi de junio. No recomendaría aunque el personal era encantador.

Fabulous bar and restaurant located right next door to the beautiful Roundhay Park. We were greeted by friendly staff at the door and shown to our table. Our order was taken without any waiting around by the very friendly and efficient Ori. We both had the Sunday lunch which was well presented and tasted delicious, compliments to the chef. We requested more gravy which thanks to Ori immediately arrived. The price was very reasonable and the decor and atmosphere was perfect. We will definitely be returning. Well done to all the staff working there

We had not been to this Ikea for over 2 years so it was a complete shock to see how much this restaurant had deteriorated. We waited over 30 minutes in a relatively small queue . Once we got our meals, we proceeded to pay, where when we arrived, we were told to go to the next till as she was going in her break! We had to rejoin a queue on the other side, where we were then charged for a drink we didn’t have and 4 extra meatballs we didn’t have! The till lady then told remaining people behind us that she was also going in her break and to join the other till where no staff member was?!? Head office need to do something asap

This was my second visit to this food outlet. After a mediocre visit last year we thought it worth a second chance. It was not. The staff are slow and the prep area was messy and covered in the detritus of a days work. Nochance of any cleaning as they went along. One for the local food health and hygiene inspector i suspect . The food was barely warm and the meat tough as old boots. The seating area was filthy and the bins overflowed with waste. If this is Yorkshire hospitality then keep it. Save your money and time

Really disappointed with our meal, I ordered a soup and was shocked, to say the least, about the portion size , literally half a bowl and when I asked the waiter if it was a mistake he replied that it was head office that control the portion size!!!! Shocking , considering I was charged £6.50 for literally 5 spoonfuls. Prices have risen so much in the last year, ridiculous! Unfortunately the pub lacks atmosphere and we won’t be back! Such a shame as we The Bay but there is a need for a decent pub whose sole purpose is not to rip you off!

The Cavendish Pavilion cafe is in a beautiful location with superb amenities. I have been organising group trips for a local charity for several years, and the food, staff and facilities at the Cavendish Pavilion are superb and meet all our requirements. We have enjoyed a range of sandwiches of various fillings followed by delicious home-baked cakes. Our group often comments on how tasty the homemade scones are, served with clotted cream and jam. My particular favourite is the lemon drizzle cake or a new favourite, an almond slice. Ruth and Craig, two of the staff who work at The Cavendish Pavilion, are warm, friendly, and professional and look after our group well. It isn't always easy to please everyone when it's a group event but both Ruth and Craig have provided outstanding service and managed our groups various preferences with a professional can do attitude. Our group has been delighted with the recent events, and we look forward to returning to the autumn and again in 2025.
