The best restaurants serving British food in Yorkshire and The Humber

Bought a corned beef & steak bake pasty & 2 sausage rolls. What a horrid dinner, could not tell the pasties apart, could have been a average dog food inside as a filling. Not sure our dog were interested, normally he's all eyes when we're having a takeaway, not this time? Greggs & poundbakery are 100s times nicer, at least you can tell what the filling is. Never again!!

Dos de cada diez para el (£ 3. 10 ) rollos huecos de embutido; ambos estaban subllenos de carne de embutido, que se había desplomado en una tira grasienta de extremo a extremo. Bueno - mirando selección de pasteles, todo bajo vidrio.

Attractive looking pub. Visited for the set Xmas menu. Friendly staff, temp manageress and young female server, both attentive. Starters and mains all nicely presented and tasty. Too full for desserts so they boxed them up to take home. Good value for money.

Fantástico eglefino con patatas fritas, especiales de pensionistas para mi marido y yo. Encantadora masa ligera y trozos de chips que eran apropiados no congelados. Tantos chipspies sirven pescado y patatas fritas que nadan con grasa, pero estos eran encantadores. Tuvimos nuestros dos perros con nosotros y el personal hizo un escándalo de ellos cuando nos íbamos. Impecablemente limpio, incluso limpiaron las sillas cuando la gente se fue. Sin duda volveremos.

Visited here with a family of 6 for a Saturday lunch. The staff were all very polite and professional. Good selection of drinks, served in clean glasses. Food was delicious and perfect for a light lunch. I had the soup and a sandwich option and the rest of the family went for the sandwich, chips and salad garnish option. All lovely. You could tell the meats were freshly carved, and that the coleslaw was homemade, as were the chunky chips! A really nice lunch trip, in a beautiful setting; just what we were looking for. Thank you to the staff of the pub and the kitchen.

The Bell Driffield is in lovely town, lots of bars with live music a real good feeling in the bars. The Bell Hotel. The staff very helpful, the rooms very oldi worldie very spacious and comfortable, and clean, breakfast was very good and well worth the money, The lady's running the spa, where extremely helpful , the treatments where very enjoyable and a very reasonable price, would highly recommend . I visited this restaurant twice for dinner in 2 days, once with a large group of fellow conference delegates and a second time with my parents. The restaurant exceeded my expectations on both occasions, particularly on the first night, when with less than a week's notice (due to being let down by another establishment), they managed to serve a group of more than 20 (with no pre-orders) in a very quick and efficient manner, whilst waiting staff remained polite, efficient and professional throughout. There is still enough choice on the menu to have caused difficulty choosing on both evenings. I would be more than happy to visit again if in the area.

Todo el ambiente del lugar no era exactamente emocionante... la forma en que tienes que esperar para estar sentado como si estuviera tratando de ser un gran restaurante es bastante extraño, ya que es solo un café centro de jardinería la idea de tener un menú solo el domingo no es bueno cuando la comida parece atender solo a un cierto grupo de edad realmente sería mejor con cosas como “Desayuno todo el día” en lugar de cosas que comerías en el verano nadie quiere pastel de cerdo y quiché en clima frío es ligeramente decepcionante cuando el menú del desayuno es más atractivo que el menú del almuerzo / cena el precio total de la comida es un poco alto para las opciones y el estándar de la comida el personal era lo suficientemente agradable, pero parecía un poco apresurado, pero mejor que el personal en el centro de jardinería en sí no sé sobre nadie más, pero me gusta un buen saludo y no ser “mirados” como si fuera de otro planeta... en general no es el lugar más emocionante para la comida y bebidas, pero espero que pueda mejorar un poco cómo se ejecuta con respecto al lado del restaurante del negocio... .

Dropped in today whilst out for a walk, terrible experience. Walked in and placed and order for food and drinks, immediately got snapped at that short staffed to day so we would have to ‘make do’ with what we were given! Really!!! It is 2022, not 1922! Interestingly the ‘make do’ food and drink was charged at full price!

I attended a birthday which was booked for 18.15 by a young guy and not even wrote in book who set our table received two parking fines one when I booked and other wen I ate. Both times I entered my reg and still getting tickets to pay 100 each disgraceful will not be back.

El personal no podría haber sido más servicial. Ordenaron el aire acondicionado ya que no funcionaba. Al estar discapacitado pedí ayuda para conseguir bebidas que se proporcionó con una sonrisa 😃. No podrían haber hecho más. Es una lástima que sean decepcionados por la Oficina Central en conseguir cosas ordenadas como el grifo que gotea en el inodoro, etc. Empieza a apoyar a tus equipos arreglando las cosas para tus clientes y tu equipo.

We had booked a Christmas dinner for a group of friends, several of us were disabled. One lady was given a small meal, when she had paid for a normal sized meal. Because she walked with 2 canes could not collect her own meal, it came with no Yorkshire pudding, she was told because she had her meal served to her, she forfeits a Yorkshire pudding!. I complained on her behalf because this was surely wrong attitude to have to a clearly disabled person who is also recovering from major surgery and unable to carry anything. The staff were uncaring and appeared oblivious to the embarrassment and upset they put my dear friend through. Okay they were busy but a bit of care and respect for their patrons would have been nice. If I hadn't brought the matter up to another staff member, by making my point that she couldn't carry her own plate. It would not have been sorted. This spoilt the Christmas meal for us all and I was shocked by the idea of penalizing a disabled person in this way, then not even bothering with an apology!.

We popped in for lunch while we were in the area and I'm so glad we did. We just managed to get in before the kitchen closed after lunchtime, food is served until 2:30pm. We ordered sandwiches which came with fries and a little side salad. Really tasty and arrived hot. I can safely say I was quite full afterwards. Chap behind the bar was very polite and friendly. The toilets are quite small and the feminine bin really needed emptying but that could be down to an external contractor not emptying it. All in all a great place and so cosy I could have stayed all day.

Staff was on point. They came to apologize for the noise which was not needed as we are loud ourselves 🤣 Food was amazing. Reasonable price. Would definitely be coming back .

We stayed overnight, lovely rooms and shower, friendly staff, handy for hebden bridge, nice Chinese takeaway. Good bus route to hebden bridge, Halifax, and Todmorden
