Lots of tables inside and outside to sit at, but the blinds in the ceiling need some attention as they are all dirty or broken. After waiting in a very long queue ordered two lattes, these were ok....but very expensive for what you got and it all seemed very production line...

We were greeted by the same friendly staff who took our order with a smile. However, I wish I had taken a photo to show how overcooked and dry our bacon rolls were, my husband's looked the worst and he struggled to eat it. Looked like it had be out standing for a couple of hours and not freshly cooked! So disappointing as it's the first time we have eaten out in several weeks and we were looking forward to their usual high standard. I am not normally one to complain but in this instance I wish I had taken the food back but I will just get a drink in future and take my own food with me :(

Absolutely terrible coffee. A flat white was very weak with a bit of froth on the top, not at all how it should have been and it was more expensive than I would expect to pay for a good coffee.

This really is an excellent cafe. Well positioned to catch any sunshine, plenty of tables inside and out, good selection of drinks, snacks etc. And a special mention of the young girls operating the cafe. It always seems to be busy with a queue for service but they are always polite, very quick and efficient, running the place very smoothly.

I went on a walk with my boyfriend and we thought we get a coffee and cake from the Golden Acre Park cafe ٫ well where do I start 1 the customers service wasn’t great I asked for a mocha and they didn’t ask what size I wanted and the mocha was tiny and it wasn’t filled to the top either and the quality of the coffee is rubbish they used filter Coffee which is poor quality 2 the price was too expensive for the quality of what you get £6.85 for a tiny poor quality mocha Which wasn’t filled to the top either and a slice of carrot cake which tasted ok. I gave it 1 star because the cake was ok. Next time I think I will go to either Greggs or Costa.

My boyfriend and I took our Sproodle to the Golden Acre Park for a nice stroll during the brief snowy spell, which was lovely. We stopped at the cafe to have some breakfast and tea. The cafe is not dog friendly but there is plenty of seating outside where you are welcome to sit with your dog and there’s dog treats available at the til (although not sure if these are free or to buy we didn’t get any ourselves). For a regular breakfast, a large breakfast, and a pot of tea for two, it cost us just under £17. We thought the prices were really reasonable, especially for Leeds! When food arrived, the plates were so small and there really isn’t much difference between the regular and big breakfast so that was slightly disappointing. There was only a pound difference between a sausage sandwich and a breakfast. Everything else was great! The inside looked really clean and staff were really friendly and attentive; the service was really good as well. It also had a selection of HUGE portions of cake that all looked incredible. We would definitely return to the cafe, but maybe just for a bit of cake rather than breakfast. Overall, lovely cafe and walk ☺️

I’ve been to this cafe a few times and the coffee and cakes are lovely. Today I came with a friend, her little girl and two dogs. It was warm enough to sit outside but as I went to secure the dogs to the wall I realised someone has removed the metal hook that you could fasten dog leads to. There were no other hooks or facilities to fasten the dogs up, which meant that there was no option other than to sit with them both hooked under my chair leg. There must age been 5 or 6 other dogs outside the cafe and it was pretty chaotic. Not sure why the hooks have been removed but please can we have them back?!

We walk in Golden Acres several times a week and finish at the cafe. Very expensive for what they provide so we pick up a lovely wrap from Morrisons on the way instead and just drop in the cafe for coffee. Well until this week that is - the worst coffee I've ever tasted. It was either cheap instant or dregs -really horrible. On top of that the milk had little bits in it from either a badly washed jug or machine. I wasn't the only person to comment either since the lady after me had the same experience and hers was barely warm. I guess we'll pack a flask in the summer and when the weather's cold take the little path of to the hotel.

I take my kids here fairly regularly as they can have a reasonably healthy lunch or snack after a nice walk. Today I went specifically to give them an early evening tea. Knowing the cafe closed at 5pm on a Sunday I thought that arriving at 4.10pm would give us plenty of time to eat and be out by 5pm. There were 4 staff, a queue of 3 customers (of which I was 2nd) and the place was near empty. But having waited more than 10 minutes to be served I was told that no hot food was served after 4pm. I explained my situation and all I wanted was beans on toast for the kids but no, it was too much for them at 4.21pm (as I was precisely told). I asked where it said that hot food stopped at 4pm and no one could tell me. I get it, staff want to get out on time at the end of the day but where's the customer service? Not in the mind of staff who care little for the commercial business that's for sure. Needless to say I left without buying anything and they lost 3 meals.

What I got was an ordinary black coffee ( nearly full to the brim) and a very small jug of soya milk. I was still charged the price of an ordinary latte rather than the lower price of a standard coffee. That didn't bother me too much . It was they couldn't or wouldn't simply put a cup of soya milk and some coffee in it in the microwave and instead a gave me a standard coffee masquerading as a latte.

So out of the breeze and the dog stayed with us as they are not allowed inside. I was supplied with the hot water I needed for the baby's bottle with no problems. So today myself and my 3 year old son came for a walk to Golden Acre Park and all the way round I had promised him we would call into the cafe for a hot chocolate. I brought my sons own prescribed carton of milk and hot chocolate with me. I ordered my hot chocolate and then kindly asked for the staff to make my son a hot chocolate using the things I had brought with me. I was rudely told this couldn't happen without any explanation or without the member of staff going to discuss this with a manager. My son has Phenylketonuria which is a rare genetic disorder requiring precise control of his protein intake otherwise this can cause serious health issue relating to his brain in later life. I have never been anywhere that hasn't been helpful and supportive of this and I have never had to tell my son we can't sit and have a hot chocolate somewhere. I have been to this cafe many times where he has sat and had his hot chocolate so I am very disappointed that today the member of staff who served us decided that they could not help us. More places need to take into consideration certain conditions as my son should be able to sit and have a simple hot chocolate with his mum!

And the park itself is great for a walk with lots of wildfowl on the lake.I had an egg mayo sandwich and a cappuccino. Nothing wrong with the coffee but the sandwich was not the best tasting almost as if the mayo was past it's sell by date. And the fact that it was brought to the table wrapped in polythene suggests that it may well have been prepared some time before it was served. Service fairly slow and not particularly friendly with the staff doing the bare minimum required. Which is a little sad.As the only eatery in the park I guess these guys have a virtual monopoly. A little competition might lead to a much needed improvement.

We call quite often at the cafe and have watched the conservatory, and now the outdoor patio and 'gazebo' being built over the past couple of years. At last they are finished. The conservatory now has ceiling blinds to protect us from the searing sun coming through the glass! Well done!It was a day of showers so the outside tables and chairs were soaking, so I popped back inside to help myself to the paper roll on the counter and wiped them down. There was plenty of room inside but no big deal drying a place outside. We don't mind queueing or getting our own cutlery or carrying our used crockery back inside. After all, that's what everyone does at IKEA without moaning. We paid an average amount for drinks and plate of sandwiches. The staff were efficient and friendly and busy as usual - Sunday after all. After a walk around the park we stopped for a coffee. Good quality coffee and in addition plenty of tray bake type sweet things on offer. There were many folks eating more substantial hot meals which looked very appealing. On our first visit we had scone and butter which was huge, freshly baked and just what we wanted but unfortunately on our second visit they had "run out" so we selected the seeded flapjack which was nice if yet a little expensive. The outdoor seating is great on a warm day (also well used by grateful dog walkers) and I imagine the new conservatory will be welcome in winter but it was very warm when we visited even with the doors propped open.

After a nice walk in this beautiful park, it's nice to be able to sit down and have a cuppa and a bite to eat. Of an afternoon, the cafe gets full of 'yummy mummies' who've toddled over from the car-park, and it can also be very busy at weekends and during school holidays. The food is average, and not great value, same for the drinks. But it's in a great location.

We went as a group of friends with babies on a very quiet Monday. There is no space inside or outside the cafe for leaving pushchairs so we had no choice but to bring them inside with us. There were empty tables and the ones near by were very happy that we parked our pushchairs next to our table - we had politely asked them before sitting down. The staff however complained that we were taking up too much room. When the food arrived they would not get cutlery for the mums feeding, just pointed out where it was and did nothing to assist us. When we went to get the cutlery it was sat on the side and filthy. The cafe is extremely expensive. A very small cup of coffee is over £2 and is usually cold by the time you get it to your table. A very plain sandwich is over £5. It is not child friendly or wheelchair friendly as the only way to get to the cafe is down steps.

I have been looking forward to seeing the new conservatory but twice its only been 12degrees outside but inside its boiling hot. That should be good in the winter but what happens when its nearer 20 degrees? I had a chocolate flapjack which was cooked so solid you couldn't even bite it. I asked the waiter to change it for a different cake, which he did reluctantly but with no apology. It will be interesting to see if I get an apology on this review!!

we visit regularly with our dog either after or during walks to Golden Acre & Pauls Pond. the staff are always helpful, happy, friendly & the cakes are great especially their scones & ginger cake. their prices are reasonable & service is good. if you visit during school holidays or weekends then expect a wait as the cafe gets extremely busy. the conservatory is a lovely addition. if its raining & you have a dog their is also an undercover seated area behind the cafe. my only gripe is to the council as they don't allow the staff to take tips! i feel this policy should be looked into as your staff work hard & if a customer wishes to tip then there should be a way of the staff being able to accept it.

I use the park many times a week to walk my dogs but it is not possible to use the café unless you have someone with you to go in and purchase. If you find a way to buy - the cakes are good and you can get a large mug of tea, doesn't have to be a small fussy teapot. There is no covered seating for dog walkers to use unless the tiny shed for selling plants behind the café is unlocked. There is a plastic sheet roof covering half the space so only a handful of dog walkers can fit in - if they're all really friendly and so are their dogs.Appalling service given that Runners and Dog Walkers are the only people out using the park in all weathers and all through the year.

A Waller's dog area is currently being built as well as a ramp for wheelchair access to the cafe. The food is nicely cooked and presented and the coffee is very nice too! It is rather expensive for a cafe but a nice place to have a bacon sarnie after a long walk! The staff are nice too!

It's been quite a while since we visited this park and cafe. It was mid afternoon when we arrived, but the car park was quite full. The new conservatory is now finished, so we decided to go look at it.Inside was clean and bright. There were plenty of tables free, so sat in the conservatory overlooking the park.We had a tea and coffee, and large iced finger. This seemed to be the best deal in the cakes, as small squares of current squares, and other similar cakes are £2.plus which seem very expensive. The tea and coffee were good, but the cake was slightly dry on the edges. There is plenty of seating outside, for people with dogs to sit.The park is nice to walk round, even on a cold winter day, and plenty of people were feeding the ducks, geese, and swans.

This was my first time here after walking our dogs. I ordered a cheese and ham Panini at £5.40 It had the thinnest smear of cheese and the smallest amount of ham, just covering the bread. It came with a salad. I showed the sandwich to the manager who to her credit refunded the price. I am assuming that the staff have been given instructions on how to prepare these meals and whoever that is, could you please consider how your need to make big margins has a limited life span and this short sightedness probably creates less profit in the end and certainly leaves your customers feeling let down. I can say that the person who dealt with my concern was polite and professional.

Service in the cafe is very slow. Some very young staff, with hardly any training. Tables piled high with previous customers left overs that staff walk past, people push them to the side so they can sit down, staff still ignore the piles of plates and cups on the cafe walls. Shame the cafe is terrible because the park is really nice

I've been going in the cafe at Golden Acre for ages. The food is simple but well made. I went on Thursday and had the hot dog. Food was fine but my god they are tight with sauce. One tiny sachet of mustard and one ketchup with a jumbo hot dog. They ration the sauce from under the counter like a school canteen.Love the cafe but staff need to cheer up and put the sauce on the side so customers can help themselves.

Staff Great Main course Rissoto was just a mussy mess lacked taste and Asparagus burnt Chicken was like rubber and broccoli so badly burnt was not edible . Dessert choclate fondant and ice cream good. We were told that a trainee was in the kitchen while the head chef was somewhere else . This was a gift from a special person so very disappointed. Feeling peckish my friend decided he wanted fish & chips, we were on the Headrow so l thought of Nash's even though l've never eaten there. The reason for that is the business & alley approach looks so unwelcoming. And it did again...7 large green general waste dustbins right outside, rubbish everywhere. Now l know this is not the fault of Nash's but it's plain off-putting, they could screen it off for a small outlay. Secondly l said to my pal "lt's shut", everything about it led me to thinking that, even with an "open" flyer on the door, l was amazed the door opened when l pushed it. Oh oh, totally empty, no food in the fryers, really strange. The woman behind the counter was great, she explained that it was cooked fresh & wouldn't take long. 2 fish & chips were ordered and tbh l was not expecting much. I was wrong, the fish was really good and the chips fine & plentiful, mushy peas ok if a bit watery. The only negative was the tomato sauce, it was terrible, orange & cheap. Whilst we were eating 2 other customers arrived, so 4 in probably 40 minutes there. There is something wrong here, the food was good, the woman friendly & efficient but it is devoid of any atmosphere or decent furnishings, to me it looks like totally wasted potential. I'd probably give it another try, maybe l caught it on an unusually quiet day, but still, please make an effort on the approach & frontage to make it more welcoming, l'm sure it'd make huge difference.

so, normally we go to the Bridgewater arms for food (another flaming grill), however our nearest pub is actually this one so we thought we'd come here for food on Saturday evening. I looked at the menus and opening times and saw that the app stated the kitchen closed at 9 pm, so I booked a table for 8.30 on the understanding that I’d be able to get food thinking nothing of it and that we could have a night out with some food, and then to stay and drink until closing. We arrived in a cab around 20 past eight, giving us ten minutes advance for the table anyway and were sat at table two, where they normally have it reserved for the festive menus but were told we could eat there anyway. We then went ahead and were just about to push our orders through the app when someone ran over and told us not to put any food through as the kitchen was closed and had been since 8. This was extremely frustrating as if I’d have known this before, we would have probably gone to another green king pub where we could both eat and drink throughout the night. once finding this out, I then quickly rang ahead to first the GK in LS15 which said we'd make it to late for food then to Bridgewater, who also told us we wouldn't make it as they also shut at nine so not only could we not eat here, but we also missed out on a flaming grill, resulting in us last minute having to book to the harvester in Scholes LS15, resulting in yet another cab fair, which was significantly higher, but unfortunately the only option left to us at this point and also meaning green king missed out on our custom, because the information on food wasn't known before we'd arrived. I went to speak to a manager at the bar before we left, he told us there was nothing he could do even after I explained the situation so not only were we not able to order food from the kitchen that was advertised as open, but then had a manager tell me there was nothing that he could do and walking off. Overall, I was really disappointed with my experience
