I was at the hotel early morning ahead of a conference and wanted tea and toast although not a resident. A young waiter called Abdul was very helpful and although his lounge section was not open for drinks etc at 7.40am he assisted and organised both for me. A professional , helpful and informative waiter who should be recognised for his service. Thanks again - it certainly left a positive impression with me about the hotel.

The Bell Driffield is in lovely town, lots of bars with live music a real good feeling in the bars. The Bell Hotel. The staff very helpful, the rooms very oldi worldie very spacious and comfortable, and clean, breakfast was very good and well worth the money, The lady's running the spa, where extremely helpful , the treatments where very enjoyable and a very reasonable price, would highly recommend . Thanks from Lynn & Carl

We visited on April 24th having read the good reviews on here. Arrived just after 6 and the pub was already quite busy ( always a good sign) but we got a table to eat ok. We then had an excellent pub experience of some good drinks and great food. The 3 young ladies who were serving both drinks and food were all very friendly, polite and efficient. The food was good British Pub food. I had Sausage and Mash and my partner had Gammon and chips. The pub itself was old fashioned but in the best sense, beams and fireplaces, loved it. Would definitely recommend but might be worth booking.

Worst Sunday dinner ever. 45 minute wait in an near empty restaurant. Serving lady… apologised for her Miscommunication. Easily forgiven but then the food arrived. See pictures. 2 tiny halves of roast potatoes. You think it’s a Generous beef portion until you see its half fat & gristle. Green beans not cooked and not trimmed. Carrot shavings burnt. Mush… had to ask what it was. Overcooked cauliflower cheese. Yorkshire pudding cardboard. We joined the gym and a free Sunday lunch was an inducement. Didn’t realise it was a more a punishment. Head chef should be disgusted with this offering. Not the poor girl left to serve it. We have another free Sunday lunch but we will not be going. No food is better than this. I ate around the fat & gristle. 2 tiny halves of potatoes. Half cardboard Yorkshire. This was I left in the pictures. Judge for yourself. My poor husband tried to eat more. He was starving. Wouldn’t of eaten at all but my diabetes had gone haywire waiting so long to eat. Ps. This normally costs £16.50 each. I won’t go again even if it’s free.

We come here regularly, and decided to come eith friends for Christmas dinner. The prawn cocktail tasted off, the bread accompanied with it had a cheap spread, no real butter offered with it. The main meal did not resemble a Christmas dinner, veg was one Brussels sprout each, the cabbage was raw, couldn't cut it, The Yorkshire pudding was frozen as was the roast potatoes, even though this is denied. It was tasteless. Not worth the money £25

Had pre booked for a table of four as spending the weekend in Bridlington. On the night of our booking we turned up all looking forward to our meal to find that the restaurant was closed. The staff had our telephone number so why didn’t someone call to tell us it wouldn’t be open. We then had to spend another hour finding somewhere to eat…..they don’t deserve the business if the can treat their customers like this. Apparently we were told happens often so all please be aware if you are willing to chance this restaurant

Don't bother buying a milkshake. Paid just under £5 for a large strawberry milkshake and all I got was a small glass of fluffy milk. No flavor and no ice cream or cream it in. Nothing but a child size glass of milk that would have cost all of 50p to make.

They do great breakfasts here and provide good, honest, value for money food. The staff are pleasant too.

We popped in on our way past for a few drinks, they weren't doing food that evening but said we could go to the chip shop and eat them in there. The staff were very friendly and there were quite a few locals chatting, drinking and playing darts. We will be back another time for Sunday lunch.
