We popped in on our way past for a few drinks, they weren't doing food that evening but said we could go to the chip shop and eat them in there. The staff were very friendly and there were quite a few locals chatting, drinking and playing darts. We will be back another time for Sunday lunch.

Lovely friendly place. The staff could not be more helpful. Also (importantly) dog friendly. We had the Sunday lunch, it was beautiful. Although there were no vegetarian options on the menu, I was offered quite a selection of choices. I went with the mushroom and Stilton Wellington. Simply delicious. Although it's quite a cosy place (with a roaring fire) they have live music from time to time. We will be returning this evening to see the group Atlanta. We will be telling or friends to come here.

Worst Sunday lunch I've had. Brussel sprouts uncooked.yorkshire puddings reheated and so overcooked I couldn't cut through them.frozen roast potatoes and tinned carrots. Gammon was very salty . We had lots of fly's buzzing around the food and sitting on the food while we were eating. Staff friendly.we were the only ones eating . didn't have to book. now I know why. Won't be going there again Definitely one to avoid

Called here by chance and pleased we did. The food was really good; tasty and well-cooked, and enough of it. We had 'proper' pie with shortcrust pastry - lovely. The coal fire was so welcoming, excellent beers, and polite and friendly staff. It's an old-fashioned village pub and we'll definitely call again.

My 12 year old son went into this pub last Friday to ask if he could use the toilet. There was an older woman serving food as he walked in who asked him what he wanted. He politely asked if he could use the toilet and she sternly said no and pointed to the door for him to leave. She then laughed at him and encouraged the few people in there to join in mocking him. I am disgusted that someone in the hospitality trade would behave like this to anyone, especially an innocent child who had manners to politely ask without just wandering in. Never getting any custom from me!!!

Went to Wetwang to meet a friend I had met on Tinder, as it was our first date, she wanted to meet somewhere nice. We arrived early evening, quite a few in there eating and drinking. Had a couple of drinks in comfortable surroundings. Normal bar prices, good selection of beer and spirits. I had arrived early and been to the chippy next door...next time I go I will sample the food. Because I paid for both rounds...she has decided to see me again !

When we are away from home we like to patronise local establishments rather than a chain and usually have a variable experience. This one was bottom of the list! Saturday about 1pm. Looking for somewhere to eat and drink, with a dog on a warm but very windy day. Before settling in I ask if we could bring in a dog. The look I got was pretty unfriendly. Clearly the woman behind the bar was annoyed that I had interrupted her conversation with a gent on the other side of the bar. When I asked if dogs were welcome inside, I was told "not when we are serving food"! I asked for a menu and was presented with a grubby plastic folder. I went back outside to look at the possibility of whether we would be comfortable in the garden and found it protected from most of the wind I went back to check they serve food outside and oh dear I'd disturbed her again! Only in the paved area not in the garden - she said it was too far. Enough was enough - we went next door to the chippy. We can recommend them and know why it was so busy. The Black Swan was almost empty. Next time we visit the area it will probably be closed and we won't be surprised!

We called on our way back from Bridlington, after missing our turn off, and I'm glad we did. Travelling with our grandson who was starving, we had fish & chips x2 and chicken dippers for grandson, all demolished and ridiculously cheap and delicious. Friendly landlord, great beer garden, all food freshly cooked to order. We will definitely miss our turn off again.

My friends and i went for a meal here on Friday 22nd June we had a dog with us so had to sit on the patio area out the back which wasnt a hardship as it was a lovely evening. Friendly barman and cook. Food was very reasonable especially considering what we had. I had mushroom and spinach lasagne then treacle pudding and custard the others had Steak pie x 2 and spotted dick with custard and sticky toffee pudding with icecream. Fish and chips Scampi and chips All the meals were lovely and we will definitely all be back for more next time we visit the Wolds. I have put not sure for waiters and waitresses as we were looked after by the lady who cooks.

Just spent a week on holiday at a cottage in Wetwang, but never set foot in the door of this pub. Not without trying though! We have two dogs & they only allow dogs when not serving food. This makes for an almost impossible window as they are closed most of the time when not serving food!

The Black Swan is a dog friendly pub in Driffield. Our local walking group made a coffee stop here and they were gracious enough to put on a coffee and biscuit spread for us. It was delicious. The Black Swan is a great pub that is centrally located in Driffield.

Visited here 3 nights as I was staying in the Premier inn hotel. The food was great enjoyed all 3 meals I had along with the breakfasts. Bar staff are welcoming, I was served by Ellie the majority of the time and she was nice and happy for the duration of my stay.
