Barley twist in Doncaster

Great first experience of this place, good food, fantastic service from Josh and Tiff, nice welcoming atmosphere, spacious dining area in a central town location, plenty of parking available and a decent, varied menu, thanks guys will definitely call in again soon.

Stayed at the premier inn and had breakfast here twice and came in for drinks over 2 nights. Food was very nice and the service was impeccable. 2 different members of staff offered to help me as I had one of my arms in a sling. Would highly recommend this place absolutely amazing. Thank you.

Go in every Saturday have a cooked breakfast always excellent Staff very friendly. Especially Bernie great personality bubbly nothing too much trouble excellent at her job

I've had breakfast here on occasion but today I went in to arrange and book a party and they could not have been more helpful and gave some very helpful tips and ideas. Cannot give stars yet for food but for everything else definitely Thank you

Sunday carvery. No choice of meat as advertised just turkey. Food was brought to the table instead of choosing our own vegetables etc. Only two customers in the whole restaurant on a Sunday and it took 30 mins to arrive. Food was ok but just not inspiring. Definitely not returning.

The Breakfast at Barley Twist is really good and the best thing aswell is all the fantastic staff, especially The General(Tiffany) and her duo partner (Bernie) they are so helpful and bubbly every morning, I stay at the premier Inn there and have breakfast in the Barley twist several times a year for my Doncaster horse racing trips and Tiffany and Bernie give the early morning starts such a great way to begin each day, I wouldn't want breakfast anywhere else than with the best breakfast duo in country Tiffany and Bernie

First time at Table Table Barley Twist, made to feel very welcome, nothing was too much trouble for the two staff we interacted with, Hannah took the time to show us around the breakfast area and how all the machines worked , she was extremely pleasant and Bernie who was table staff was really friendly and obliging, not just to the customers they were serving, but also witnessed a telephone call being taken and heard how they treat the person at the other end of the telephone, very pleasant and helpful. There must be a chef in the background somewhere, who also produced poached eggs to order perfectly, recommend anyone in the area to give this place a try you won't be disappointed plenty of choices , full English, continental, vegetarian etc

Excellent service yet again by Tiff and Bernie today so lovely to always receive a pleasant and happy welcome. Nothing is too much trouble ! ! Today it was not self-service so the girls worked extra hard bless them. 👍👍

Had a lovely breakfast this morning, after a lovely night in the Premier Inn. Bernie served us, she was very friendly and helpful, and when she found out it was my friends birthday, she organised a slice of cake with a candle, and sung happy birthday to her, very lovely thought, thank you Bernie!! Staff were brilliant from the minute we walked in. Tiff and Lauren were very helpful, cheerful and welcoming. The food was brilliant thanks to the chef Steven. Ordered fish & chips and half a whale turned up on my plate! Would certainly return because how good the staff are and certainly makes a difference on the evening experience

I found a black hair in my coleslaw. Which they replaced. No check back. There were only 3 tables eating but the service at the bar was really slow. I waited ages to pay the bill. A guy came in for a drink after I queued and left as he got bored of waiting. I'm not in a hurry to go back.

Not good. Just one member of staff working (he was doing his best!) and one staff member in the kitchen. I ordered a double burger but the gluten-free roll was as tough as Vinny Jones and my fries were burned. I ended up well and truly glutened (l have coeliac disease).

This place used to be good, last twice ( gave it another chance!) the food was terrible, service is so slow and waiting to pay the bill took forever.

I went in for a meal on valentine's night. The management in there wisdom on probably the busiest nights had two staff on front of house .Mia and Deama was working they were none stop all night virtually running around because it was so busy it was very slow and orders was wrong ,which was a big issue with us as one had serious allergies which meant having to send her food back as this was missed .The bill was even wrong, we was in the restaurant for nearly 3 hours having a three course meal .We was told the following night there was 5 staff working, in my opinion with management like this the restaurant will soon get a bad name and then lack of customers. Well done to Mia and Deama for trying their hardest in trying to keep everyone happy , perhaps next year two of the management could work on their own to see how they cope

Food was good and price was very reasonable. Spent more getting a mcdonalds for 2! Lauren was very attentive and made sure we were happy with our meal would come again

Staying at the hotel for a couple of days on a work trip first night dinner was no problem, second night I booked a table on the website for 7:45 and when I went down to the restaurant I was told it would be a 45 min wait for a table even though I booked one so i sit and have a pint and I'm then told last orders are at 8:30 for food. now I'm absolutely starving and have to find somewhere else to eat that I will have to pay for on my own accord because I can't use my pre paid meal deal. Fuming is and understatement!

Took my parents for dinner here this evening, we had a lovely time! The food was delicious and service great, compliments to Kirsty the chef, everything was spot on! front of house staff were brilliant, especially Mia who greeted us with a big smile and looked after our every need, so polite and helpful, nothing too much trouble! Couldn’t fault the night at all, great food, great service and a lovely atmosphere! We will definitely be going back! :-)

Limited menu after staying here for a few days but more than made up for by Lauren the Waitress who is quite an entertaining character.

I stayed in the Premier Inn next door so was dining alone. The staff were so warm and friendly. The food was good aswell, but special mention has to go to the front of house staff.

They were amazing towards my partner as she's Lactose Intolerant. Amazing allergy menu so we knew what to avoid in great detail. Food was incredible & definitely will come back.

We stayed at the Premier Inn for 4 nights visiting family. We had breakfast and dinner at this restaurant. Staff lovely but one staff member stood out like a bright star. Lauren was there to greet you in the morning with smile nothing was to much trouble, she had time to speak to you even if it was really busy. Such an asset to your company

Been a couple of times while I've been working up at Doncaster. Food is great, last visit Sara cooked my food, the Hotdog was amazing oen night, big stack great the next. Kirsty and Tiff cooked the breakfasts when I was over. Both great, Sunday was a buffet as was a busy morning. Monday quieter so hot food was cooked to order. As a quiet site, less staff so they adapt well! Lovely place to go for a quiet meal with friends or family, or solo as the team are bubbly and make you feel comfortable 🥰

Poor customer service, poor communication (staff contradicted each other) and the manager never apologised for any of our issues. I will be taking this further with customer services as the dispute with the bill couldn’t be settled due to the managers incompetence!
