Great value for a great breakfast!

Had Sunday dinner there 2 for £20 .... Everyone likes a bargin ps the lamb and beef was good friendly staff .

Came here today for motherday booked under Amy. What can I say fantastic from when we walked in to when we left food fantastic drinks fantastic definitely a day to remember. Thankyou hardwood, and thankyou to my daughter in law for showing me this little gem. Fantastic 😍

Would not recommend this place, tha staff were pleasant but the food and place let's it down.

Great location for cinema and theatre goers. Make sure you book in advance but prepare to be a little patient, because the food is well worth it!! The 6 of us really enjoyed our visit. Lovely, friendly staff ….and boss!

Service was good but sadly the food was not. Starters were ok but mains were awful. Dried up chicken skewers, thick and claggy pasta and the worst pizza ever. Used to be our go to venue but I’m afraid that will no longer be the case. Such a shame as it used to be excellent.

It took 20 mins from being seated for our 2 drinks to arrive, so we decided it wasn't the place to order lunch and went elsewhere. Was not busy but staff seemed to be absent. One staff member downstairs when we arrived Not sure about upstairs. Eventually someone arrived to man the bar and thats when we received our drinks.

Excellent food and service. Very polite, professional and friendly staff. Varied menu and excellent food well presented and cooked. 4/5 would have been 5/5 as it was badly let down by cleanliness. Needs deep clean as both human an dog hairs everywhere. Crumpled tablecloths and crumbs etc everywhere. Chairs and cushions need deep clean. Despite shell latter, highly recommended and will definitely return.

Went with six ladies last night for pre theatre meal and drink. One lady was disappointed the fish pie wasn't on so the lovely waitress went to ask the chef to make her one, the answer was yes and he duly ended up making four!! All the meals were lovely and very substantial and reasonably priced. We all had a lovely experience and will definitely be back for more

Decided to go for a decently cheap option of Lasagne with my mother going for a steak ale pie. Both of us had a similar experience however. The cubed potatoes served were undercooked giving them a tough texture. My lasagna sheets were Al dente and my mother's pie crust was reportedly doughy. Despite this, the portion size were good and the filling of the lasgne was okay. Second time I've been here with the previous visit from 2 years ago also having issues, to which I can't fully remember the details. For the price it wasn't worth it sadly.

First time there last night the two young kids doing bar, waiting ,taking orders etc were run off their feet ,the young waitress was really apologetic for our wait ,the young guy was new and clearly hadn’t had sufficient training, totally out of his depth felt like he had been thrown in the deep end,bless him

This is an absolute hidden gem. Food was just beautiful. I had lobster thermidor.

We chose from the set menu offered when a show is on, £16.95 for 2 course. The mozzarella and tomato salad started was nice and well presented. The main course of cauliflower masala was terrible. It was a plate of over cooked cauliflower in a basic watery sauce. Very disappointed.

Ordered lobster from here and it arrived at the table still frozen inside. The staff were kind enough about it and very apologetic but come on chef get it together you're going to kill someone.

Fab breakfast, clean, bright environment, welcoming and friendly staff. Would definitely come again

We came for a pre theatre menu meal before going to the Cast. Upstairs ambience is relaxed & quiet, which our group preferred. Staff attentive, wide variety of menu choices & very good value at 2 courses for £16.95 & 3 courses for £19.95. The food was very tasty, with good sized portions & we could not fault the fish pie, which was full of salmon & haddock pieces. We will certainly be back. One detriment to the establishment is that they have speakers outside playing music out on the street, which is not necessary, as it lowers the tone somewhat.

We booked a table for 7 people at 6pm, on arrival they didn’t appear to have us booked in after asking 3 times for the name and number of guest, and put us on a table for 6 and offered to pull up a chair… ok it was Friday and we expected it to be busy, on booking we’d said we would only need the table an hour as we were off to the show at cast, they guy on the phone said that was fine so long as we didn’t want the lobster which took a while to cook…. We ordered food and drinks and asked the waitress if all the meals could come out at once as one was a started the other 5 all opting for the buttermilk chicken burger in a soft scuffled with cubed potatoes and salad… the 7th member of our party arrived a few moments later and ordered the halloumi salad, the salad and the starter arrived, we waited and no sign of the burgers, we asked and the waitress walked away to check…. We waited…. The two eating had finished and we had now been sat 50 minutes, 30 mins since ordering and no sign of the burgers…. As we knew we had leave to watch the show we asked again if there was any sign of the burgers as they should’ve all come at the same time, the waitress said she’d written that on the order and they were coming…. It was 6.55 when the “buttermilk” chicken burgers arrived… with skinny and very salty fries, not the cubed potatoes as advertised, not one of us ate the chicken as it had clearly been either cooked twice or was a deep fat fried Birds Eye chargrilled chicken as there was griddle marks on the chicken under the very thick and greasy batter! We had also ordered sides of very greasy and yellow onion rings and cheesy garlic bread which again was a pre griddled panini roll with cheese on, being informed all meals were cooked from fresh when we booked, we were beyond disappointed! One of our party asked for the bill and raised concerns as the food was well below expectations for the prices , the manager was quite dismissive and rude but agreed to knock 25% off of the bill defending their cooking methods…. When the bill came they had added a service charge… we politely declined in paying that as service was pretty poor… we ended up paying more than £90 for a salad, a starter and a bottle of Prosecco as the burgers and onion rings were inedible! Such a shame. Only good thing was the salad!

Went on Wednesday before the theatre, food was exceptional. The starter asparagus in 3 cheeses which was gorgeous and such a large amount. The chicken and chirzo paella had just the right amount of bit. Merlot wine was delicious. All in all a memorable meal followed by a great performance of Kinky Boots

For a pub its ok, friendly attentive staff, we had the Sunday roast, well cooked food and good size portions, reasonably priced

Drinks are too expensive, won't use it for a casual drink again.

Lovely food. I had lamb chops and my husband had ribeye steak. Very tasty and reasonably priced. Service and staff were friendly and helpful. Banoffee cheesecake was delicious. Definitely recommend

Sunday lunch delivered to home- Had a few Sunday lunches from here and they were good. Don’t know if they’ve changed the Chef or something, but the one we’ve had today was horrible. Under cooked veg, roast potatoes that had probably only been shown the oven and the gravy….. like washing up water! That the polite version. The mash. I would say it resembled wallpaper paste with its consistency. Very poor and won’t be having one again.

It is nicer on the 1st and second gloor rather than the ground one. The interior and design is better. On the first floor there is as also a back terrace to sit outside. Im regards to the prices l would say they are higher than average in Doncaster.

What a terrible place, the food is awful cold and tasteless, the management of this place is the worst I have ever encounter you need to avoid at all costs. Overpriced disorganised and and the management is the worst, never to return!

Went for bottomless brunch for a friend's birthday 4 of us booked the bottomless brunch then a 4 other friends joined us later, excellent service the prosecco kept flowing special shout out to Amber & Leanne brilliant staff Amber even fetched a cake with a birthday candle out for the birthday boy

My companion is in a wheelchair, so we need a few extra considerations. The Harewood isn't all wheelchair friendly inside, but there is some accesible space. Outside is no problem. If a cold breeze gets up, they have blankets for you. To relate all the circumstances when we visited will bore the reader. Sufficient to say, the staff were wonderful. We were welcomed, felt valued and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. I had the best steak and ale pie I've had in a very long time. My companion had a burger which she enjoyed. Our bill was reasonable for an early evening dinner. There are much more special things on the menu for those who want a treat and happy to spend the extra. We'll go back.

very disappointed with all the food, very bad service, the waiters were very careless, they brought a paella and after 15 minutes, cutlery was brought after my insistence that I had to go and draw their attention to the fact that we don't have plates and cutlery, I asked for salt and it wasn't brought, I had to go after her, I spent a lot of money for nothing, the quality of the food is as bad as the service, I will never go again

Service was haphazard. The waitress who took our drinks order had no idea of what beers were on offer and didn't know the difference between beer and cider! No social interactive skills. One waitress tried to clear away glasses that still had drinks in them. Some of the cutlery wasn't clean. Lack of atmosphere due to being the only ones sat upstairs.

Well where do i start. Probably the most disorganised place Ive ever visited. Food was good but the service was dire! Sat down outside and took a drinks order (4 drinks was really hard work!). Asked for menus which she brought. Then another member of staff said “not serving food today”! Why have we got menus then? Then 5 mins later someone else said “are u ready to order” complete shambles left hand didnt know what right had was doing. Said waitress fidnt know the difference between a smoked salmon salad or a roast salmon so I had to reiterate twice I wanted the smoked salmon salad. Was served by the most hard work waitress Ive ever known. Eventually a tall slim lady took over who was alot better and more customer friendly. Food when it eventually came (2 salads I hasten to add) was lovely. Absolute hard work from start to finish. Never again based on the service alone!

Skye was amazing. Having a party of 13 on bottomless brunch can’t imagine us ever easy but she was Constantly asking if everything was okay and whether needed anything. Seemed to love what she was doing and that past onto us whilst here. Had genuine laugh with us that put us at ease. Had a genuine great time. Would definitely recommend

Popped in for Sunday dinner 🍽️ and was really impressed with the food (Lamb / Beef) and the veggies that filled my plate! I couldn't finish it (that's not usual for me). The price was absolutely fantastic at 2 for £20 - £10 for a full plate of Sunday dinner and a decent amount of meat is worth the extra star 🌟 to give this place 5. The staff were friendly and the service was good. Kids had spaghetti 🍝 fish fingers and chips and they all are the lot. The flat white was a 4/5 ☕ tasted like a decent roasted bean ❤️ Thanks for having us and for filling us all for less than £50, which is difficult for 5, kids who like J20 lol 🤣 All in all a great little find, we'll definitely pop in again. Access to toilets 🚻 is good for all abilities and they have a baby change in the downstairs toilet. Nice and clean to 🌟 Parking 🅿️ available either at the library (2 minute walk) free on Sundays or the nearby car park. If you found this review helpful please give it a like ✅👍🤩

We have visited numerous times before always been lovely. Tonight was absolutely horrendous, we went onto the terrace first to have a drink this area has always been lovely! It was dirty, cigarette burns in furniture, tables dirty, throws screwed up on sofas. We went inside to eat, again the interior looks run down the starter came which was OK. Then mains arrived, I had salmon my husband had the lobster, nothing had been cooked fresh, my salmon was spongy it was obviously previously frozen my husbands lobster was chewy, potatoes were burnt. Concerns raised to the waitress who could not apologise enough, took the food off our bill. Since arriving home my husband has vomited! What an absolute shame the harewood was a lovely place to go in Doncaster it has completely gone down hill.

We booked a table on Saturday night for 4 friends, before going to the cinema. We asked for a wine list on arrival. The waitress said they didn’t have a wine list but they had whatever we wanted. We decided on a bottle of Prosecco and had a look on the website menu and saw it was priced at £24 a bottle. The bottle arrived, it was a Prosecco called Sorso- not what was on the menu, but we didn’t mind. Ordered a second bottle with our meal. Food was fine. When the bill arrived, there was only one bottle of Prosecco on the bill, called Bottega Gold- priced at £35. We queried this because this was more expensive that what we expected, plus there was only one bottle on the bill and we should have been charged for 2. The waitress said that it was a mistake and we should have been charged for 2 bottles of Bottega Gold, totalling £70. We explained that this wasn’t the Prosecco we’d been served. It was called Sorso that wasn’t on the menu, but certainly wasn’t a premium bottle. I asked to please let us just pay for what we had, we weren’t trying to get anything for free- we just wanted to pay our bill. The waitress called over who I assume is the owner ‘Rod’, and said we were refusing to pay our bill. I explained the situation and reiterated we wanted to pay for what we had, not the premium bottles of Prosecco on the bill that we didn’t have. Rod was trying to intimidate us, got up in my face saying “you need to pay, you’re not having it for free”. I stuck to my guns and refused to pay for something we had not had. I reiterated that if we had been served Bottega Gold, we’d have paid for it, but we had not been given this. Rod said “do you want a bottle of Prosecco for free then”, to which I replied, “yes fine as we are clearly getting nowhere here”! Rod went and sat back down and I went back up to the bar to try and pay. The waitress confirmed the price of the bill with Rod, who was sat across the other end of the bar… he shouted back “CHARGE HER WHATEVER, SHE’S OBVIOUSLY SKINT”. We were all so shocked and taken a back, we quickly paid the bill and left, but we’re so insulted by the way we were treated it put a downer on the rest of our evening. After a quick search online, we found that this bottle of Sorso Prosecco they served us, was not on their menu, but on offer in Morrisons for £6.50 a bottle!! Beyond terrible customer service… avoid at all costs- and if you do choose to visit The Harewood, confirm all prices beforehand and double check your bill!

The food here is gorgeous ! My sister, friend and I booked a table here on 04th February 2023 for 6:00pm prior to visiting the Cast theatre for the Queenz show. We ordered the Tempura prawns for starter followed by two lots of the salmon, the butter chicken burger and garlic bread (plain and with cheese) as a side. Each dish was very tasty and we ate everything. The service was a bit on the slow side but I am assuming this is because it was a very busy time due to the theatre show. The staff did apologise for our wait and were very friendly. We would definitely be coming here again :-)

We visited early on a Saturday evening. As there is no wine list we had to rely on the memory of staff. The food itself was of variable quality: the mussels had too many broken shells with lots of small pieces in the sauce, although the mussels were cooked well; the salmon fillet was cooked perfectly, but the cubed potatoes were replaced with some wilting fries; the Caesar salad comprised of a large portion of side salad - complete with raw red onion and tomatoes but no anchovies - in a salad dressing. No Parmesan. When these issues were raised with staff they equally apologetic and disinterested. We won’t be visiting again.

My friend first time wanted something with prawns, no prawns/seafood available. Limited menu. She ordered lasagne as only pasta dish. I ordered chicken Ceasear salad with smoky bacon and parmesan. Smothered in cheese and sauce only saw chicken toward the end did not look good. Went home and suffered a severe case of the 'trots', had to dispose of my undies. Next day tried to ring owner, not there, Manager, no one available (Fri pm). Asked for call back Saturday, no response. Have taken a group of friends in the past several times, hot food ok, but will not return after last experience.

Went for Sunday dinner and it was beaut . Had been to the crown hotel last week and this matched it if not better than it and at half the price. You got plenty of meat and proper mashed potatoes and there was plenty of it couldn't even eat it all. Will definitely be going again . Staff were friendly too and was just a lovely Sunday dinner . Compliments to the chef 👨‍🍳

Lovely cafe, reasonable prices. I had lovely homemade vegetable soup, my daughter had a scotch egg, salad and crisps, which she said was really nice.

A party of 4 of us went today for the first time and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. One of our friends was in a wheelchair and the lovely staff went out of the way to accommodate her, opening a different door to the main door, so that she could enter easily and without additional fuss. The staff were efficient, professional and friendly and the food was delicious, beautifully presented, generous portion size and great value for money. Three of us had the quiche and another had Chinese chicken curry. We were made to feel very welcome and well looked after. We would highly recommend and will deffinately be back there again.

A lovely place to visit. Has plenty of space and rooms to sit and enjoy the atmosphere this including a charming roof terrace. Seating is also available outside which is very popular on warm sunny days. Wheel and push chair access is available in a new cosy ground floor room. The food is good and plentiful with a choice of snacks, cakes and scones, yum! The lunch time menu I feel is a little limited. Staff are pleasant and welcoming but service staff could be a little more attentive. Overall a nice welcoming place to visit.

Nice friendly place, decent food

An okay places. Sells good beer, has a pleasant outside drinking area with outside speakers for the music. The food looks good and people appear to enjoy their meals but I cannot comment fully as I have not eaten here myself. However, the steaks do look very tempting. Is also located well for a drink afore nipping over the road to the Savoy picture house. Addition: I have now eaten at the Harewood. The meals were spot on. Very tasty and large enough portion to leave you fulfilled. Due to this I had to add another star. Would recommend.

Really like this place, staff were good, drinks good (but please put cucumber in Hendricks gin!) and the food we had was very good! Creamy mushrooms to start and then the seafood paella. Biggest criticism is the tables are too tight upstairs, you literally cannot move between them making it hard for waiting staff and not good that you have to ask others diners to stand up During their meal to let you get by. Just remove a couple of the small tables or one of the larger ones in front of the window. The room looks lovely but if staff/management actually tried it out with people sat down they would realise it totally does not work! Will defo come again tho, maybe in summer when space outside available

Seafood paella inedible….all fish overcooked & tough! Meat paella very salty. Cocktail very small & not nice……certainly not worth the price. We won’t be eating here again.

Net a friend here for Sunday lunch and it does not disappoint! Portions where more then genourous, and everything was fresh and delicious! Very fairly prices too, Highly recommend.

Superb meal! We went to the Harewood with friends during the afternoon to celebrate and we had a great time. The waitress was very attentive, making sure we had regular drinks and even gave us a complimentary drink. The food is delicious, with generous portions. Clean plates all round. We will definitely be returning and recommending to friends and family.

So we booked again for this afternoon! 8 of us and yet again such a lovely experience! Absolutely love this little gem of a place. Wish we could of eaten outside but yet again it rained but what a beautiful restaurant upstairs! Again well done to the lady on at 12 noon she was amazing and multi tasking everything!

Great food, great staff, great atmosphere. The seafood platter is a must try, it says per person but one platter is more than enough for two.

Great experience - was looked after by Leo as if we were the only people there (we were not, it was Jubilee weekend and quite busy) Great food, quality ingredients and cooked well. My grandson was with us and was treated liked a valued customers. Thanks to Emily and he team for looking after us too and whatever it takes- never let Leo out of your grasp...he is a huge asset 😊

For a drink ok and I do like the outdoor atmosphere especially in the evening with the fire surrounding the drinks tables. I also do like the idea dogs are welcome to sit down upon entry as seen at the weekend. As for the party food I shall probably go elsewhere in the future not really recommend but the staff were helpful and polite. An excellent location for a venue. But on the saturday evening the atmosphere was dead and the only liveliness was our party drumming up our own atmosphere a disappointing evening.

Rude front of house staff, selling drinks smaller than advertised then arguing with your customers that you have given them a pint when you clearly are using smaller glasses. Will not be back.

Visited last week with 3 friends..loved the food, great service.

Started off great, the starters were really tasty and full of flavour. The oysters were really tasty and the cheese dish starter (I forget what they were called) were also full of flavour but unfortunately that’s where the good experience ended. Issues we had were: - Upstairs seating was absolutely full of flies, they were constantly buzzing around us, we even had a few land in our food which is gross 🤢. Invest in some fly traps! - The paella was really really salty, all we could taste was salt and bland rice. A massive shame as we were really looking forward to this - A jug of water for our table was requested at the start of the meal and a further 3 times and we didn’t get it until right at the end (luckily as our food was so salty we needed it) - Calculated our bill wrong, we asked for pints of coke and received halves but they charged us for full size? - Atmosphere was dead on a Sunday night. It was just us for the whole floor. A real shame and a massive letdown. Disappointing birthday meal.
