Lovely boxing day meal! Lovely service and the food came out really quickly which kept the kids happy!

Came in with family at lunch time today, best part of our visit was the deserts. They were lovely!

The booking on line was really easy and received confirmation instantly. The staff were lovey and helpful. The food arrived and was excellent, well presented and tasted delicious. The young girl serving us couldn’t do enough for us. Excellent experience

Popped in for food since we were stopping just outside the town. Service was OK. Had to hand in one of the drinks as my wife ordered a vodka and coke but the coke was flat. The bar staff had a couple of eye rolls and little chat to themselves about the coke. I ordered the hunters chicken. Was nice but the chicken was a little dry. My wife ordered the kebab and it came out a little cold but was still edable and nice. Was very quiet as it's just after Xmas so the atmosphere wasn't quite there

Booked for Christmas Day lunch after going to Hatfields many times and always loved the food. Have to say was left very disappointed with Christmas Day dinner. We were seated in the function room which was more like being in a church hall- no atmosphere, no music, lights on full and seated right near the toilets! Not sure what you needed to pay to sit in the actual bar/ pub. Staff looked really unhappy and stressed. Food was average which is not what we have experienced before at Hatfields- veg cold, small portions and the Christmas’s pudding was very rubbery like an old boot. We ended up spending over £500 with drinks - have to think that Hatfield’s were not confident in what they could deliver which is why we had to pay upfront in full before the day - we have never had to pay upfront before when we have gone elsewhere for Christmas Day dinner - can only assume that why no one could refuse to pay - Hatfields got their full money for a very poor and disappointing experience - and customers have been left out of pocket.

Loved Christmas Dinner on Christmas Day at Hatfields this afternoon. Food service very good, very tasty and all piping hot, reasonable waiting times between courses, drinks fairly priced, staff all very attentive. Atmosphere was a peaceful and happy one, none of the sometimes annoying background music which meant we could actually hear one another and the levels of family chatter were surprisingly low because nobody had to shout to be heard. Really enjoyable and great value with lots of families and couples choosing to spend their precious family time in this local restaurant.

Had a delicious Christmas Dinner, food was steaming hot and served as quickly as required. Staff were efficient and friendly as always. A new manager who's been there a month was there to meet and greet and check we were happy with everything. Definitely worth every pound and recommend a visit.

Breakfast with Santa! Absolutely fab (as it was last year). Breakfasts arrived at the table in a timely manner. Unlimited tea and coffee. Staff very friendly and attentive. Santa very friendly and lots of opportunities for our son to chat to him and have photos. Overall a very pleasant experience for a kids event (no chaos). Very very good value for money. Please put it in again next Christmas. Thank you all!

Decided to visit as a last minute plan for a celebration meal. Food was fantastic and was delivered with great service from all team members. The venue itself is clean and presentable and gave off a bit more then your typical "just a pub" vibes. Will definitely be visiting again!

Gran comida, pedí el filete que se cocinó a la perfección y mi compañero tenía las salchichas y el puré, el puré era tan sabroso y cremoso! El pub es muy cálido y acogedor que va de la mano con el gran equipo - sal de la tierra tipo de gente. Definitivamente volveré pronto!

Called in for a drink, 1st time I have been, what a great place. Lovely atmosphere and very welcoming staff. All polite and excellent customer service, which is a huge plus for me. Will definitely be back and will be trying the food. Dean was so chatty and talked about this been his new venture and what he wants to do. His passion is infectious, cant wait to see what he does.

It's as though the chef didn't care undercooked pigs in blankets and stuffing greasy burger with no taste of cranberry or camembert underwhelming for a festive burger The steak was tough n chewy and the peppercorn sauce was as nice as it was last visit Quite disappointed really Can't fault the staff though

came last night though busy the two staff members had everything under control food took a bit longer than usual but was constantly coming out so guessing kitchen was busy too when the food did come out it was well worth waiting for had the cowboy burger it was delicious

Roast beef Sunday lunch is the best around.

Dined at The Hatfields last night, there was 4 of us celebrating my mother-in-laws birthday. The food and service were both amazing. We were looked after by Jill, Liam and Jenny who did an amazing job and we got to see Santa which is always a plus. We will definitely be returning in the near future.

The new owner is the breath of fresh air the pub needs, their was joyful atmosphere, me and my family will definitely be back in soon.

Our favourite local, good food, staff are always really friendly. The quiz on a Friday has become part of our weekly routine, great atmosphere and Keira does a great job as host!

Great experience but a little noisy at was busy, a Friday early afternoon. Popular. Been again, another Friday, very quiet but still great value. Just been on a Thursday and enjoyed a peaceful lunch with friends.

Busy place good atmosphere food have been many times two for one meals great value.

There were six of us and all the meals were absolutely delicious. The staff were very friendly and polite and the service was flawless. It was prompt and hot. The new menu is very good. We will definitely be visiting again soon.

As usual. Fab service and beautiful food. Greeted immediately upon arrival and shown yo our table. Ordered our food and only waited around 15 mins for it. Cooked tp perfection. Flaky pure white fish in tbe best batter ever. Fabulous experience

Came here on Saturday 28th September and won't be returning in a hurry, half the food what was on the menu wasn't available, the food we had was absolutely terrible. Kitchen staff obviously didn't read the instructions. Left the meal as the cow was still running round the plate

First and last that's all I can say. Went in for a drink. Not sure I would pay that much in London!!! £6:30 a pint for lager, joking!! No wonder so many pubs are closing when they charge extortionate prices.

Enjoy Hatfields. Only complaint is don’t offer light bites ie jacket spuds after 3pm.

We both had the 8oz rump steak, which was absolutely delicious! Both asked for medium rare and it was perfect. I opted for the lighter version which was a very nice dressed salad, whilst my hubby had his with the chips, onion rings, mushrooms etc. All lovely. The peppercorn sauce we shared and that was good too! Could not fault it, and it came quickly, no hanging around ages, it is Monday night so maybe that makes a difference to waiting times, but having said that it was very busy, which is great to see. Makes for a better atmosphere! Overall excellent. Will be back. Thank you x 3

First time here, the ladies serving were lovely. Service was fast, food was delicious. Definitely go again

First time visiting as fairly new to the area, and wanting to try something new. Shame to say this will be the first and last time. Staff friendly and welcoming but food not so great. Burger was dry, no juices to it at all as well as not much flavour. my partner had the Lassange which was also not very nice, pasta was hard in some bits and had a washing up liquid aftertaste which wasn’t pleasant. For the near £40 spent far from worth it.

Our daughter rang and asked for a takeaway for 3 of us due to my husband being housebound now. We provided the crockery and our meals were still hot when we got them home. We’ve enjoyed many a meal in Hatfields and are delighted that Hatfields went above and beyond for us. Thank you to Jill and everyone. 👍

Visited with family 5th August had a fantastic experience food was exceptionally good hunters chicken was the best I tasted would recommend a visit as staff very friendly and helpful.

Come in last night for a family get together meals were great. good to see some specials on I had the goat’s cheese lasagna and my partner had the chicken and chorizo couldn’t recommend more

Really hate to write bad reviews, but our meal tonight was very disappointing. Very small portion for the price that I paid. Onion rings didn’t arrive at the table with our main courses, I understand that mistakes happen, however we were not checked on whilst eating so had no chance to remind the waitress about these, however after asking the lady at the bar she sorted it out straight away and refunded me fully for these ( which was very much appreciated) my friend has been ill since we got home after eating the food and can only put it down to our meal here unfortunately.

Got recommended to come food as we are camping at Hatfield water Park. The food did not disappoint and the staff were very welcoming to. Will definitely be returning when next in the area.

A great afternoon noon all the meals were fabulous and tasty. Staff are amazing ,very busy but still give great service.

Been today for lunch as usual it was great . Had gammon and my husband had vegetable curry Both meals were extremely good.and Jade looked after us brilliantly ,a big thank you Jade nothing a problem .and Jill who is a great manageress ,and also the chef who cooked it to perfection.

I called to enquire about a takeaway meal for my parents as due to my Dad being housebound they can no longer come to Hatfield's. The staff were amazing, cooking our order, plating on our plates which I took in and wishing my parents well. Thank you so much, this one small thing made their day 😀

We had a large party of 24 and the staff were amazing! The food is typical Marston food, but there was not one complaint from our party. We had some 30% off vouchers which made the whole event really worth the visit. Thank you!

The restaurant was clean and bright, it had a nice atmosphere, the staff were friendly and the food was hot and fresh. A very positive first time visit.

We dine here at least twice a month, but the food hasn't been at its best. Fore of use dined here Sunday and at least 3 dishes weren't up to par. We had 1 steak far too rare, it was shocking, 1 that we asked for very well done (burnt) that was pink in the middle, and a roast beef dinner. The beef was fatty and chewy. We have actually booked Hatfields function room for our wedding reception this year, but we are definitely thinking about cancelling that and looking elsewhere. Very disappointing from a place we love to visit. I received a message from there manager asking me to email them, so I did and had no response. Customer care seems as bad as there food. Will be cancelling our wedding reception here.

Good food and service service was very nice the employees were nice and not mean really liked were we sat and didn’t wait to long for food.

It was OK. Nothing special, cheap ingredients. Mushrooms and peas had seen better days. It filled us up, so job done.

I cannot praise the bar staff enough. The lovely lady whose name I'm afraid I didn't get but she has been there every time I have been but also Liam I think his name was as I overheard someone mention his name was particularly lovely, polite, efficient, endearing to me and my two friends.

We met friends for Sunday lunch, it was 4 adults and 2 teens. Some if us had the Sunday lunch and some chose off of tge other menu, all meals were lovely, my vegetarian Sunday lunch was really nice and my son was super impressed with his fish and chips. Staff were friendly and helpful, food was great and environment was lovely.

The food was OK but nothing special. My daughters pasta was watery. The staff were friendly. It could do with redecorating as it looked very tired and grubby. The beer was warm.

Poor service, only one person on the bar. ordered cheeseburger & chips, what I got was slimy lettuce & hard piece of what I could only guess was the cheese & 2 dry meat patties. 11.85, unfortunately didn’t save the picture to show the quality of what was served. Won’t be going back.

I cannot fault a single thing about our evening. Firstly, I booked a table online which I didn’t realise hadn’t been confirmed until we turned up, but they managed to get all 13 of us seated. Secondly, it was extremely busy. We took a while to order with us being a big group with children, and we were made aware that there could be a wait for the food. It came a lot quicker than I expected. Finally, we had meals that had things removed and things added, steaks asked to be cooked differently. Everything came out perfect. All steaks cooked as asked. All food came out as asked (fussy children). And everything was piping hot. We cannot complain. It was also quiz night, the atmosphere was great. Not a quiet night by any means, but we thoroughly enjoyed our night, as we do every time we attend Hatfields. All staff were lovely, even though they were rushed off their feet.

Staff brilliant, very friendly and attentive. Good meals and with 30% off vch Good value, however .. ... you could do with a lick of paint to spruce up the place looking a bit tired and getting scruffy.

Nice environment, friendly staff, food service efficient, the price was reasonable and the very generous meal was lovely. Fantastic Yorkshire pudding!
