The best restaurants serving British food in Yorkshire and The Humber

Not sure why there are so many complaining reviews here. The breakfast was hot quick and tasty. No it’s not fancy but it does what it says on the tin good breakfast food price.

I went for lunch with my son and baby granddaughter on Monday 23 October. The food was good Scampi & chips and Fish & Chips. Most impressive though was the welcome and service. A high chair was quickly brought out and we were offered a lovely table in front of the fire which was especially welcome as it was a cold damp day. Thank you to Julie,Michelle and Josh. We will be returning.

Usually lovely fish and chips here. Think I caught them on an off day. Chips were very dry and the whole meal of haddock and chips had that bitter burnt taste like they’d been cooked in fat that was well overdue a change. (The fish and chips themselves weren’t burned)

This place has improved every year, but at the moment 10/10 everything you need. Also the cafe is well organised good staff and service, The farm shop is a must to visit even if your just looking you will spend everything is great. Pet area, furniture area, food area, plants and trees, Christmas stuff, Halloween area, houseplants, and house furniture from a to z.

Wow! Este Costco supera a cualquier Costco en los estados. Fácil de encontrar aparcamiento cerca de la entrada en poco tiempo. Conductores cortés cerca. Devolver las sábanas fue súper fácil, a un cajero muy amable que se trasladó desde el sur de Inglaterra. Hablamos de la toma del poder por el comunismo, ya que me decepcionó no haber notado que las hojas no estaban hechas en el Reino Unido. Nos reímos. Me encanta lo sencillos que eran y no les importaba VIRTUD SEÑAL de ser "INCLUSIVOS. " Nadie condenó a otras personas por expresar sus pensamientos de manera civilizada o por tener una opinión, incluso si es diferente de la suya. ¿No es maravilloso estar en un lugar donde el diálogo abierto y la conversación es lo normal a diferencia de aquellos que son incapaces de escuchar diferentes opiniones debido al ego, que quieren imponer miedo por no ser o pensar como son, por cuidar lo que solo es popular según las cabezas parlantes en la pantalla / televisión / medios / películas - - como si usaran la palabra más clichés, "inclusivo" los hace "buenos" cuando en realidad no tienen pensamientos profundos, sentido del individualismo, o se preocupan por las preocupaciones para la comunidad en general con diferentes opiniones e ideas? Mejor experiencia Costco, hasta ahora.

Was poor when ownership changed and then improved in the second half of 2023 however went downhill again just before Christmas and just tried again today for 4th time and no better, cheap sausage and spam used. Sausage, Spam and Tom sauce consisted of 2 sausage, 2 slices of tinned oblong spam and a smidge of tom sauce, £3.90!!! A spam on it's with 2 small slices of spam £3.10!!! You mainly tasted bread. No point mentioning the other disappointing butties the team had. Time to change again.

Vino a tomar un café mientras esperábamos una mesa en Nibble. Compré dos de las galletas de almendras que están en un recipiente en el mostrador. Desafortunadamente, no los comimos allí y los llevamos a casa con nosotros. A £ 3 por una galleta al menos pensamos que serían agradables y sabrosos, pero absolutamente no. Creemos que se les había olvidado poner la almendra porque no se podía saborear en absoluto. Absolutamente insípido. Muy decepcionante

Wow the food here is AMAZING. I have visited Kaynas many times with both friends and family and cannot speak highly enough. The staff are friendly and helpful in every way. The food is delicious and its the best flat white I have ever had. One if my favourite go to places, a jewel of a find.

The food was excellent the chefs very accommodating The steak was beautiful, and again a blue cheese sauce was not on the menu The chef made if for me Many thanks we totally enjoyed the food and will see you again soon We loved been greeted by the goats on the porch

Desde nuestra última reseña de este restaurante en Selby Golf club ha habido un cambio de cátering. Nuestra visita el primer domingo almuerzo bajo las nuevas proveederes era muy pobre, con platos servidos frío y no a nivel. Sin embargo, debido al golf miembro del comité diciendo que darle otra oportunidad ya que fue el primero que decidió volver. Un gran error. La comida se sirve por personal de novato. La comida era muy pobre para decir lo menos y como un ejemplo de la calidad la salsa estaba lleno de bultos de - diabólico grasa. Hasta esta catering hojas no volver.

Much better than my other local carvery...never anything missed ...and plenty of everything...Yorkshires really nice (could do with slightly softer carrots and peas )gravy spot on ...eaten way too much!!!

The food was excellent, as it was on Friday; however, tonight's service was unacceptable. Our server was discourteous, exhibiting a stark contrast in demeanor compared to her interactions with other tables. This inconsistency was unprofessional, especially given that our requests were simply order modifications not possible through the app.

Saddened that the best pint and the heart beat of Cubley has been removed from sale! Yes their famous San Miguel which was sublime no longer exists. Staff just as perplexed are blaming the brewery? This has been replaced by a sub standard (but more expensive) Estrella Damm. A sales ploy no doubt and at £5.20 very over priced. Peroni is also £5.20 yes, and at 4.8%abv maybe worth it, but a flat average Estrella at 4.6% the same price, I’m not interested. It was a mile off the Miguel. A mile off. Same old annoyances still prevail, can never get served at the bar, food very ordinary, a claimed new menu not much different and the place is still manned by teenagers without a clue (rocketing min wage differences you bet)! A step backwards and maybe a death knell. What a shame.

We usually just have drinks but tonight we ate. The food was absolutely delicious. Hot, fresh and really tasty. The service was good as was the atmosphere. We will definitely be back.
