Our host Ethan was amazing, polite, knowledgeable and attentive. All staff were great, top roast as always. The meats, veg and condiments were fresh, will be returning to this Toby Carvery, thank you all.

We always go between 9 00 and 10 30. As it's quiet which is good. You'd expect food to be hot and fresh at that time as it's just opened sadly not often the case

This was our first time here and the food and service was good. We will defo come back.

Troy was a welcoming and polite host - and very helpful with the allergy menu. The food was tasty and a great range for a carvery. We went at 7:45 on a quiet Monday night and were pretty much the only people in the restaurant - so it's hard to mark the 'atmosphere' but all staff were friendly and helpful. Just make sure to log your reg. number for parking when you first go in.

We had the pleasure of eating here today the food was delicious, and great service the manager and server was great really helpful and welcoming brilliant Sunday service can't recommend it enough 10/10

Staff overworked. No cutlery on tables so by time we got ours food was getting cold. Food selection for roasts and veg not good. Cauliflwer cheese no taste and flat cold and undercooked. Noone seemed to be taking charge. Tables not correct when we got the bill. Was rectified. Not a good experience ok. Won't be back in a hurry

Called here a few times and usually very good. This time not so we were ushered to our table quickly without chance to look around. Went to bar to order told to return to table and drinks would br brought to us ( 10 minutes later) food mostly warm not hot beef VERY tough had to leave it. At no time was I told to REGISTER my car and as such I got a £60 car fine. Not very good for a pensioner

One of the best Toby carvery I've been to...better than most I've eaten in.

Used to really enjoy this restaurant. Have been twice now since the refurb, asked to sit in the back due to anxiety, was told both times the back was closed and both times there was people eating in there and the manager has then put other people in there. Told the manager I couldn't squeeze tightly between 2 other families due to anxiety and said I would have to leave if he couldn't sit me anywhere more suitable, he just shrugged. So I left. Won't be going back again.

No it's not allways seem to rush U away,not enough staff,n needs a good clean,even carvery people walking about unclean looking n dirty cloths!

I have been looking forward to returning to this Toby Carvery since I first visited Bradford last summer. It was a very stormy night this time and the interior was warm and inviting. Sarah was my main contact and she explained the ordering and payment processes to me as there were no instructions anywhere. She was warm, polite and helpful. I selected a Prawn Cocktail for my starter and the carvery for my main course. The Prawn Cocktail was of a generous size and it came with a plentiful supply of quality bread. My one criticism was that there was just plain lettuce accompanying the starter, with the sauce only having been applied to the prawns. I would have expected there to be further garnish such as tomato, cucumber, as well as a slice of lemon. That said, the prawn cocktail was delicious. The carvery was the usual affair and there was a choice of four meats. The size of the meat portions could have been greater however this was more than made up for by a wide selectio of vegetables. All items were fresh and of high quality. There was a selection of gravies and also wide range of sauces etc. Soft drinks came with a "free refill" option, which I like. My dining experience was filled with ambiance and I enjoyed my return visit. Customers should be aware that prices for the carvery are a couple of pounds higher on a Saturday compared to midweek and the cost on a Sunday is a couple of pounds more than the Saturday price. It should also be noted that there is a need to register your car on a terminal near the entrance. It was good that the greeter made me aware of this as I had not seen the signs. Overall, a really pleasant meal.

Had a fantastic experience at Toby Carvery Bradford. Rachel, the manager, was welcoming and ensured everything was running smoothly. Adam at the bar was friendly and quick with drinks. Our server, Troy, was absolutely fantastic—attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to make our visit great. Jacob, the carver, did an excellent job serving the meat just right. Overall, a great experience with top-notch service. Will definitely be back!

Food was great and very fresh the chiefs behind the counter was quick but attentive! The waiter we had Troy was extremely attentive & happy to help at any given time. Smile on his face brilliant addition to your team, he was professional polite & all round very good at his job.

Im fuming went to this place tonight and my 9 year old daughter was upset because I wouldn't let her go on the teddy grabber in the place for the second time because it's a money grabber and all teddies are rammed together and then she wasn't happy because she couldn't sit in my mates car because they needed to head home so she sat back in the pub because she was cold and a member of the staff from this place started sitting on the floor with my daughter asking her questions why she was upset etc which she had no right to do without my permission!!! I was literally stood at the other side of the door watching her through the glass in the door while the carvery was empty I let her stand inside then the staff think it's oryt to start asking her questions!!! Unacceptable

Had the buffet breakfast, which was very nice.Had to have orange juice with the meal as there was no milk !

Came here with higher hopes than I should have. The food was luke warm and dried up/pickings under the heat lights due to not being replenished with fresh as it was still cooking for over 30 minutes. Short staff in such a large establishment and took a long time to get the servers attention to order drinks and desserts. The lay out of the carvery section was also terrible as the corridors are very narrow leading to the restaurant and with the cue of people waiting to be served it made it difficult to get through (especially for my disabled grandma). The desserts were expensive and to be frank they tasted cheap and poor quality, leaving us very dissatisfied. Very much doubt we will return here.

Food is always great and lovely atmosphere. I have been here for breakfast which is unlimited and good value. The main carvery is also great, you get meat only once but you can go again for your veggies. The dessert menu is good, I always love the ice cream. For busy times it’s best to book a table. Best to download the Toby’s app to get rewards and keep and eye out for various offers on food.

Love English roast dinner just round the corner of us. Great food and good staff dealing.

Went 2/02/2025 and I was served by Chloe. Her service was amazing she always had a smile on her face and it just made the whole experience amazing and enjoyable for me and my family. Thank you so much for making our evening enjoyable. Will defo be coming again x

When for lunch today. To start with the Yorkshire pudding was cold I asked the server to change it and was told they were all the same. After getting the rest of my lunch it was all cold. Water took it and microwave it but it still came back cold. The service was slow waited 20 minutes for our drinks. Very disappointed with the meal won't be going back there again

I ordered pigs in blankets £2.99 never arrived the smallest amount of mashed potatoes about a tea spoon and the same with the meat joke of a meal for £25 I will never use this again

It's been a long time since we last visited this Toby carvery, so with family up from Devon we thought we would go for a carvery here, all the food was good and the roast potatoes were the best we've had in any pub, delicious. We all left full and happy with the food we have had. Then today I received a parking fine for £100 from euro car parks, saying I was parked with out authorisation, I didn't see any signs saying I had to pay outside or inside the pub, but then again I wasn't really looking as you don't expect to pay in a pub car park, also the car park was covered in snow and ice at the time, so I was more bothered about trying not to get stuck or hit over cars coming in and out, i also had to push my wife who is terminally ill in her wheelchair through the snow and ice to get to the pub entrance as no snow was cleared from any of the disabled parking spaces. This has left us both feeling very bitter on the experience we had now, just wish a member of staff had pointed it out about the parking when taking our order, or if you had a small sign on the tables would help, and your customers wouldn't get ripped off. Do you know if we could appeal against the fine?

hi i recently visited for my sons birthday.everything was exellent until 10 days later i recieved a parking fine for £100 for using your carpark.nobody mentioned this to me and i saw no signs saying i couldnt park there.you either need signs inside your rsstaurant or staff should mention to customers that they will be fined for parking this spoilt our experience of our visit

Great roast potatoes and carvery

no waiting to be seated, food were well presented & hot, very reasonably priced.

All good clean food was amazing

Not great. Had to wait ages to be seated despite booking in advance via the app, as a party of 10 came in before us and the greeter took them all to their tables and started taking their drinks orders whilst the queue in the doorway built up with new arrivals. When we were seated and our drinks order was taken we weren’t offered the refillable choice, I got a small bottle of Diet Coke when I wanted a refillable drink. When the server brought the drinks to the table, I said I wasn’t offered a choice and he said sorry and walked off. No option to change my drink or anything. When I went for my food there was 4/5 old flat soggy Yorkshire puddings in his serving tray so when I was asked if I wanted a Yorkshire I asked if there were any fresh ones? Server said no sorry - and that was that. So no Yorkshire - I’d have expected him to go into the back for some fresh ones. Hardly any veg left in the dishes, there were hardly any normal roast potatoes in the dishes- just a few swimming in fat at the bottom of the dish. I asked if there were any more - he said some on the top (sage and onion, not normal ones). Altogether it was really disappointing for the money - certainly not what I’d expect and definitely not home of the roast. Won’t be going again.

I visited the Rooley Lane, Bradford carvery. The service was outstanding- the staff were very attentive and polite The carvery was phenomenal The outside and inside of the carvery was immaculate and spacious No improvements needed in my opinion

Not that good. Carvery Luke warm gammon salty not been for a few year and shell be a few more year before we go again.

Great food. Since re ovation very nice place. Service very slow and young dtaff who seem more bothered about chatting and standing about rather than serving.

We came in for our early tea. We ate about 2.30pm. I like the fact that all staff are so welcoming, they greet you and seat you straight away. Staff bring your drinks as soon as your seated. I like the fact that you can go up at anytime and get your food. One staff member in particular called Joe had seen to us and helped us out. He was very busy, and very polite. Great service met by young gent called Joe, table service was brilliant and he was making us laugh, very polite, very jolly nice to see in a restaurant and watched him busy at work wasn't just our table he was like this with all. And seemed to make other staff laugh and smile. Food was amazing as always hot fresh and very tasty can not fault here at all for food and friendly service credit to your franchise is bradford and the staff here. vegetables, stuffing and meat came in a bowl, separate to the Yorkshire and Roast Potatoes, even though we said no stuffing and the beef was really fatty, by time sorted that 1 sliver of beef and a bit of turkey.

Poor service and communication and overcharged us! It was out first time eating here with family, I booked a table for 3.30pm. We arrived a couple of minutes late due to busy traffic and the table wasn't even ready for us on arrival! When we sat at our table, as we've never been here before we just browsed the menus and went to order at the bar to then be told that we don't order at the bar, we just go get our food from the carvery area and pay after. Food was great but expensive and they charged us wrong. Charged us for 3 children's carverys when we only got 1 childs carvey and the other 2 children's meals were the sausage and Yorkshire pudding meals. And on the menu it says the children carverys are £6.99 each but we were charged £7.49 each! Would I visit again... Based on service and overcharging us NO but the food was good but I'd rather stick to our usual carverys at Hitching post in future.

Great food and atmosphere. Staff were friendly and kept checking on us. Place looks to be new. The only feedback is to remind people about registering their licence place before they are seated.

Order 4 carvery’s only 2 came , phoned restaurant to be told nothing they could do , would not deliver the other 2 so once again was left with having to order from another restaurant, woman on the phone was rude and no help at all , now having to wait days for refund if I get one . Will never order from toby or just eat ever again and neither will my family , apps getting deleted and uber eats here we come

Soggy veg and very little meat which was fatty.

Xmas Eve 2024 visits Good food if you've salty diet. For me being health conscious, I would prefer if there were signs given choices of preference, eg notify customers that 'gammon is salty'. Or, if we were given options 'do you prefer end of beef joints or slices?' Otherwise, the overall visit would have given total customer satisfaction.

The food was flat cold no fresh gravy had to scrape it from bottom and that ended up cold will not be coming back again

Food was cold & the mash potatoes had big lumps in it. Not impressed.

Veg n roasts were hard n sloppy put together. Also not enough meat .

You don't get enough meat and the meal was cold. Also service was very poor getting dessert and coffee, took an age to pay also.

The delivery time kept changing. The food was completely cold! Potatoes overcooked and not edible at all. Really not worth it. Very disappointing. The food was old and stale apart from the gammon but that had too much fat on.

I asked for no stuffing but plates had so much stuffing on. I got peas and zero veg. Roast potatoes were so burnt. It said it came with pigs in blankets but it didnt. And food was cold. Shocking prices with that service on a sunday. Never again

Food was good usual Toby carvery standard. Kids loved it. Took quite a while for the drinks even though it wasn't busy and most of it was empty glasses for our refills.

We were visiting my wife's elderly father and brought him for dinner. We weren't rushed and were able to make sure he was comfortable before getting our meals. My wife also has some quite specific dietary requirements and both the waitresses and the kitchen staff were patient, knowledgeable and helpful, and went above and beyond to look after her....very commendable, as not every establishment looks after their customers as well...Thankyou.

Lovely all you can eat breakfast, good selection, only issue was food was only lukewarm.

I ordered a carvery with beef pork and stuffing and received turkey and gammon instead with no stuffing. I also ordered a childrens carvery with veg gravy and received beef gravy.Both meals were flat cold

Absolutely horrendous. Couldn’t even strain the water out of the carrot and peas so everything was watery and tasteless. Beef was mainly fat and only a small amount for the price paid. Small portions and overpriced cold, watery, tasteless mush.

The meat was lovely but the cauliflower was not cooked enough and the rosties were so hard I couldn’t cut them not sure I would order again

Unable to leave the house so decided to get a delivery. Big mistake. We were given 1 very small piece of meat, the stuffing was missing, all of the food was the smallest of portions and cold. For £15 per person you would expect more. The 1 star given was for the mash potato, which was delicious. Very disappointed unfortunately. This is a review for the Bradford branch.

We enjoyed the standard size carvery. The roast and vegetables were well cooked and very tasty. The selection of vegetables was more than ample.
