You don't get enough meat and the meal was cold. Also service was very poor getting dessert and coffee, took an age to pay also.

I asked for no stuffing but plates had so much stuffing on. I got peas and zero veg. Roast potatoes were so burnt. It said it came with pigs in blankets but it didnt. And food was cold. Shocking prices with that service on a sunday. Never again

Hardly any food one small piece of cold beef 3 carrots and a small gravy and all cold 18 with delivery for something that wouldn’t feed a child and cold with instructions on tub not to reheat, abysmal

It's a really nice place. Staff make you welcome as soon as you walk in. Food presented well. Staff friendly place clean n tidy.

for the first time the food was really nice at delivery. rather that the venue. if the food had been hot or even mildly warm. we would have enjoyed it far more. the roast potatoes where stone cold too

Food was good usual Toby carvery standard. Kids loved it. Took quite a while for the drinks even though it wasn't busy and most of it was empty glasses for our refills.

We were visiting my wife's elderly father and brought him for dinner. We weren't rushed and were able to make sure he was comfortable before getting our meals. My wife also has some quite specific dietary requirements and both the waitresses and the kitchen staff were patient, knowledgeable and helpful, and went above and beyond to look after her....very commendable, as not every establishment looks after their customers as well...Thankyou.

Lovely all you can eat breakfast, good selection, only issue was food was only lukewarm.

Absolutely horrendous. Couldn’t even strain the water out of the carrot and peas so everything was watery and tasteless. Beef was mainly fat and only a small amount for the price paid. Small portions and overpriced cold, watery, tasteless mush.

The meat was lovely but the cauliflower was not cooked enough and the rosties were so hard I couldn’t cut them not sure I would order again

Unable to leave the house so decided to get a delivery. Big mistake. We were given 1 very small piece of meat, the stuffing was missing, all of the food was the smallest of portions and cold. For £15 per person you would expect more. The 1 star given was for the mash potato, which was delicious. Very disappointed unfortunately. This is a review for the Bradford branch.

We enjoyed the standard size carvery. The roast and vegetables were well cooked and very tasty. The selection of vegetables was more than ample.

ur drivers are very ignorant and rude to customers. why give a driver a job when they get lost all time and then the food is always flat cold. I live 9 min away from the restaurant . they still end up no where near and have to ring. improvement is needed.

Food got delivered and it was stone cold. The Yorkshire felt like it had just been taken out the freezer

Everything was great. Staff were all lovely and welcoming wishing my daughter a happy birthday. They also left us to eat with no interruptions but happy to help if needed anything further. Everyone enjoyed their meal and the carvery was all perfectly cooked. I also liked it wasnt rammed and more relaxed compared to others I've visited. Def will come back to this branch

Me and my partner went yesterday waiting ages for a table then they was used glasses and cups plates left on tables I asked a member of staff who moved those he said the cleaner and they come on a morning then on the floor was cutlery and bits of food and at the serving area food round what had dropped and even that was not cleaned off I was totally disappointed and if the health and hygiene visits you will be shut down I will never eat there again yuk

I've been there a few times. And every time there was some change in terms of food. And every time I get a smaller portion of meat and the vegetables themselves are cheap and I see that they are cutting costs and raising the price, which will make me stop coming back. Another thing is that it's strange for me that I have to ask for cutlery to eat.

Been there so many times always had very good food there nice portion off meat on carvery.. but not today very disappointed portion of meat on Carvery was very small its shocking how they cut cost I come back home hungry not happy at all, and so strange I have to ask for knife and fork nothing ready ☹️

Staff Very friendly , good food , great atmosphere, spacious, lots of food choices. We enjoy going to tobys as children are getting good food and not crap takeaways and lots of vegetables and can also go back for more vegetables which I think is great for the price!!. Last time we was in, we were served by Ethan he was always checking in to see if we needed anything and supported us with using a voucher aswell. Tonight we 2 young girls serving us they did fab we was a group of 12 and we never didn't have something we would need. All the staff always come over after you start to eat to ensure the food is good and there isn't any issues with the food.

Since the refurb the place looks a lot cleaner and not run down, toilets have been replaced too, food was very nice.

Food was really nice but staff have zero customer service skills. Everyone seems to have attitude if you dare to ask for anything. Maybe I just caught them on a bad day, but won't be rushing back to find out. Avoid

Came on the 14th October for my birthday with my husband and disabled sister in law. I have adhd and get extremely overwhelmed in public spaces but our server Megan was so lovely and accommodating in finding us a quiet booth. Megan was also so friendly and welcoming. It honestly made the experience wonderful. So much so we have come back a week later (my suggestion). This is from someone that rarely goes out to eat due to sensory overload and social anxiety. So thank you to Megan and all the other friendly staff here.

Great food, plenty of choice of meat, vegetables and potatoes. Welcoming, friendly attentive staff. Maybe staff just need to keep an eye on when gravy, apple / mint sauce is nearing depletion and require top-ups. Otherwise, perfect!

Food amazing as always, slight wait but on a busy Sunday it’s to be expected. Think management could learn a thing or two about speaking to their staff members in front of customers and just in general. Lady with short hair in a pink top today spoke to our server Luke disgustingly in front of lots of customers. Commenting on him stood doing ‘nothing’ while tables are waiting to be cleaned, the table in question was in fact clean and we had witnessed Luke cleaning tables and making sure guests food were okay throughout our stay. Awful abuse of power, I am a regular at the restaurant and know Luke hasn’t been there very long but he is always very attentive and polite. Shame on you managers, start treating your staff with respect especially in front of customers.

Our server Sarah was very lovely, the service was excellent. Got a carvery and it was absolutely delicious very yummy as always.

Booked the function room for my wedding and what service they provided the room was immaculate and the food was great we wanted for nothing the staff went above and beyond ,they stored our cake an let us decorate the room and after was no fuss as they cleared everything away would %100 recommend this service ...thank you toby carvery bradford for making our day really special

Gravy tasted like water. Very small amount of gammon and given 4 small roast potatoes. Price has gone up and portion has halved, unlikely I will order from here again

Staff are always friendly, food is always lovely, never had a complaint, there's two tobys closer to me but I always go to this one.

The food was absolutely amazing, the meat was carved perfectly by a young lass who was wearing a face piercing and glasses she was lovely and polite. When i went to pay my bill I tried to tip the girl but I only had card and they said I couldnt but I could tip the waitress on card. Why is it that the waitress can be tipped through any form of payment but the chefs cannot?

We went on a busy Sunday lunchtime, the service was great from arrival to finish. The restaurant was hectic but the staff still found time to help you.

The food from Toby carvery was the worst I've ever had. food was cold,no flavour. the roast potatoes were uncooked, pale and still hard. Not much meat all potatoes and veg. The delivery guy was waiting 35mins to pick up the order. I will never order from Toby carvery again.

Food was cold AGAIN and asked for cheesy mushrooms and got a tub of plain and cold mushrooms. Only good thing was generous with the meat.

Still not a great place. I dont see why they won't give us the takeaway tub to go que with the other carvery diners. This would save so much hassle with them getting orders wrong. Not a great experience overall. I wouldn't recommend it.

Staff are always very friendly and we have been going to Sunday Lunch for the past year. We also go for Christmas Dinner and new year day. However on this visit it was noted that the Yorkshire pudding is now a different recipe and is more like eating a crisp than a Yorkshire. Carvery meats were dryer than normal it seems there was a lot of meat out under heat lamps for 11.30am dinner, unit wasn’t too busy this might explain the dryness. This is not normally the case at this restaurant. Meal price has been increased twice in the past 3 months with less choice, removal of the sliced potato and carrot dish was a big disappointment. The pice increase will mean we will have to rethink our options.

Absolutely disgusting this time .. no veg a big slip of mash and a few scraps of meat .. rock hard cold roast potatoes and basically a shambles from a usually nice meal ..won’t be ordering again

Meagan was a lovely worker very fast and officiant worker and made my experience lovely the food was the best carvery I have ever tasted loved it will definitely be going back!!!

We thought it would be really quiet with the weather being nice but it was rammed. We were seated and got the food. The meat was delicious today (gammon and turkey) my little girl ate all of her meat today which she normally only has a little bit. The other bits were nice, usual Toby carvery kind of food. I felt really sorry for our server Troy as he was rushed off his feet (no one's fault it was just busier than expected) yet he was brilliant. Polite, kind and took the time to help us with our little girl's food allergies. He was a real credit to you today.

Made a reservation on their website, came half and hour later but they found us a place in seconds. The food was nice, the meat is tender and full- flavoured. However for someone who is not accquanited with York food I would have needed some more help with ordering. Would visit again!
