After the lockdown it was nice to get back to my favourite cofffee and muffin shop. Nothing has really changed coffee and muffins are still great...with a changing choice every week The staff are great and even in these difficult times nothing is too much trouble. It beat other coffee chains hands down. Well done to all concerned

Fantastic muffins made freshly every day the best café in freshney place Only criticism is Too few staff working at peak times the staff are rushed off their feet but they are always very hard working and friendly Nice café to sit and relax But avoid peak times

I decided to nip in here on my lunch hour to treat me and my colleagues to some coffee and cakes but instead I ended up having to go to Riverhead coffee after being ignored by an old miserable blonde woman who was too interested in talking to her mate behind the counter than actually serving me.However I can fully recommend Riverhead coffee which was excellent.

Can’t believe how bad some of the staff are here! I’d rather sit in Costa or Starbucks without having the old blonde woman being rude! A smile and manners cost nothing! Also it wouldn’t kill you to wipe the tables down and make sure the spoons are clean! No thanks, I’ll take my money elsewhere.

We love the coffee here and as for the muffins....oh my goodness they are so scummy. I love the blueberry one and my husband loves the apple and blackberry one plus of course all of the others are nice . The staff are always cheerful and helpful, the place is always clean and tidy.

This is definitely the nicest and most friendly coffee shop/barista in Freshney Place...not only is it the best coffee, the muffins are just heavenly!...Try one and you're hooked!..The team of staff are just as lovely as the muffins, Always smiling, Always helpful, Always happy....they know many of their customers by their first name and no matter how busy they are, always make time to have a friendly chat with everyone........in no particular order of preference there is Clare, Carol, Sharon, George, Millie and Max...all of them being... 'the icing on the cake' .so to speak..

The staff here are very friendly and the muffins are gorgeous. It's a great little cafe for a nice cup of coffee.

I have visited BBs since the day it opened as i take my Mam whom has Alzheimers. All the staff look after my Mam and make a point to go out of their way to please not only us but all customers. Claire? George, Sharon, Carol, Millie, Max are the A Team so a big thank you from us and keep it up xx

I went here with my daughter for a latte the lady that served us was not friendly at all I felt like I had put her out to ask for a coffee.. I asked mine for extra hot she said they can't do that ... I am sure they can !! So drank mine in about two minutes.. Not very friendly older lady would like to see a smile and a welcome .

I visited this coffee place with friends and there was a staff member (very old women, believe her name to be carol cox)... she was very rude when serving me and quite abusive to me and my friend!!!

This is a regular place for me.. and about the only reason I will call into the pathetic excuse for a shopping centre.

This was a nice escape from the shopping centre on a very rainy summer holiday where we were a trapped audience really. Was a nice break comfortable surroundings didn't feel like you were in a shopping centre but the food was fair, you get what your given just a sandwich dumped on a late they were ok but for the price would expect some garnish, prettying it up a bit. I would return but I'm sure I could find nicer for less if it wasn't raining.

Tried this for the first time for the usual break from shopping. Nice friendly reception, clean and comfortable surroundings.

Came today for tea and cake..the place was very well laid out open and vibrant..thers was a ok selection of snacks and muffins and the price was reasonable too..I did have to tell the server to change one of the cups for a clean one, and while I was sat down another customer came back to the counter for the same thing..overall I was impressed but the attention to detail acctually counts..pull your socks up and I will bring friends here

We went here for breakfast this morning, hoping for a healthyish snack and a coffee. The coffee was ok - typical barista style - but there was ok chance of anything resembling normal breakfast food. Everything savoury, and I mean everything, came with cheers either on it or in it. Not what I want at 9am that's for sure. And anything that didn't have cheese was a cake and far too sweet for me to start the day on.

We had a flat white, hot choc and 2 chocolate muffins. Flat white ok, but smaller than costa for higher price. My daughter was disappointed with hot choc and was not offered cream or marshmallows. Muffins ok but lacking chocolate chunks. Overall, a bit underwhelmed. Our favourite is still Insomnia at Laceby or Caffè Nero in house of fraser

Best muffins in Grimsby ... often still warm. Cooked on the premises. Good range of coffee and muffins. Pleasant and efficient staff. Competitively priced with loyalty card scheme too. Highly recommended.

Wow that's all I can say this place has the yummiest muffins I have ever tasted in town freshly baked light fluffy full of incredible flavour, I had poppy and lemon my friend had toffee we had got chocolate, for a great tasting muffin and drink its £4.40 they have many too choose from the young man that served us has great customer service skills and he works really hard. I think it's better than greggs and better than costa check them out for .
