We had Sunday lunch here after receiving recommendations from locals. It is an excellent example of a traditional pub serving local ales with its history firmly in the local area. For example , there are some ‘trophy’ police helmets on the wall from the days of the miners strike. It is warm and friendly where nothing seemed to be too much trouble. We got there just after opening and were fortunate to get a table before the main reservations for the day started. The menu and specials offered ample choice. My wife had baked Camembert and the beef Sunday roast. I had white bait and a steak and kidney pie. The food was well presented, served promptly and very good quality. We will try and eat here again before we return home.

Disgusting rubbish food served chips burnt hard like bricks and deliberately sabotaged meal and whats more disturbing is they were fully aware of this no apology and still charged for a meal that was not fit to eat or feed your pet absolute disgrace !!! 172/100 min characters

Tip : Not open all day and every day of the week so worth calling to check they are open if you are travelling. The Slaters arms is a great pub tucked away at the top Bradley. Car park is a good size no issues with parking. Food is very good - all homemade and always a number of specials available as well as the standard menu options. Portion sizes are good and offer great value for money. As a pub, great selection of drinks available. All staff are very friendly and welcoming and always a good buzz inside the pub. Definitely recommend a visit if you are in the area.

Wow what a fantastic experience we had at this small country pub when we were staying in a cottage across the road. On the outside it doesn’t look much, but such a lovely warm friendly welcome greeted us as we entered. It’s a traditional pub, cosy with a real fire. The landlady was amazingly friendly, a perfect hostess and so we’re the rest of the family who work there. The locals were also very welcoming and gave us some advice on walks and places to visit. We planned to eat there only one evening but it was so good we went back. All our meals were fantastic. Wish we lived nearer, we would be there every day and it’s a good reason to return to this village for another holiday. A perfect pub in our opinion!

The Slaters Arms looks and feels just right, with a welcoming fire and traditional pub paraphenalia. We received a warm friendly welcome and our hosts were happy to offer mash as an alternative and a spare plate for our non-hungry 4th guest. My steak and kidney pie was excellent and the portion size just right for me. We all left clean plates! We walked there from Cononley Station. It is a good walkers pub with a range of beers and coffees. Only problem? Beware of the unexpected steps!!

Booked for tea Sunday 2nd January for my husband and myself and we took our pup to which we were asked to sit by the door more of a tatty lean-to than a restaurant seating area, order Fish and Chips twice and it’s a shame the chef burnt the frozen chips when deep frying them, and a shame he sent the chips out in our plate .. £29 later thanks good start to the New Year

Didn't take long to arrive but was worth the wait as it was lovely ,melt in your mouth roast beef york pud carrots roast potatoes cabbage and peas lashings of beef gravy.. defo gets a 5* and will return again when we are in the area

On a canal boat holiday. We normally eat out in the evening, but many pubs/Restaurants had closed.due to the pandemic. Found this little hidden gem and although a fair walk from the canal mooring it was worth the walk. Booked in at 6.00pm and were surprised that it was quite busy and remained so for the rest of the evening. The food was lovely, but from a limited menu, e.g. no steaks! We were joined on the boat by my son and partner and thankfully they allowed my son to park his car in their car park for the day - they joined us in the evening meal. All in all a lovely pub, lovely food and pleasant atmosphere. One slight negative was they could have been more attentive between courses, indeed, I had to eventually ask for the dessert board - apparently forgotten!

Four family members went for lunch 22/5/21, steak/mushroom pie, steak/kidney pie and ham and eggs were all well received and enjoyed. Real ale selection included one of my favourites, Boltmaker. We booked a table indoors, which is advisable, for me this was, with all the restrictions we've had and my own health issues, a real step towards normality. On good weather days there seemed to be increased seating outside. We certainly recommend and will be back.Hugh, Skipton

We called in yesterday on a wet and windy day, the bar had a warming fire in the lovely inglenook fireplace, the tables were filling up and we were lucky to get a table as we hadn't booked in advance! We got our drinks and then after perusing the specials boards decided I would have the two course Sunday deal and my husband just wanted to try the pies that were on offer, he had Steak and Kidney with three veg and chips and I had the Steak and Mushroom with the same accompaniments. After having asked for a rest before ordering the pudding on my deal I opted for the hot chocolate fudge cake with ice cream and chocolate sauce (delicious it was) so much so that my husband had to help me out :-) .We had another drink and settled our bill with at a reasonable £39 ish for what we had was a good deal. I would just like to say and I wouldn't advise people to drink irresponsibly but at £5.45 for a large red wine it might have been advisable to ask me if I would have preferred to buy the bottle first?

We have been to the Slaters a few times and it has been quite good. This time was poor. The steak and kidney pie was over seasoned, the steak and onion pie pastry was undercooked and the veg was mushy. The beer was ok. Worst of all was the sullen lady behind the bar. She was definitely not welcoming. And the whole place could do with a good clean. Not sure we will be back especially when there are better places around.

We stopped by one sunny afternoon for a coke and pudding. The atmosphere and service were excellent. We chose to sit outside, and the outdoor furniture was much more comfortable than the unsual benches. My husband said his pudding was excellent, but I'm afraid my chocolate fudge pudding was just the better side of awful - not only not fudgy, but very dry. Hence a 4, instead of the 5 it wold otherwise have received. But I'd be happy to try again and order something else.

Historically have eaten here a few times each year and never been disappointed. This time the roast beef Sunday lunch was of very poor quality. Beef seemed like pre cooked and sliced warmed up beef, chewy and tasteless. Vegetables overcooked, and tinned peas? Yorkshire pudding was heavy and lumpy. No evidence of owners present whilst we were there.

Had lovely meal with wife on Tuesday evening (10% off for booking table in advance which on arrival at 6pm there were no diners in sight lol). Shame found a shard of plate in my pie. Luckily i caught it on my tooth rather than swallowed in one mouthful. Waitress was apologetic and offered replacement but thought a refund or free drink immediately should have been made(as well as reassurance that steps were taken to check other dishes). Hopefully just a one off but I'm trying to fathom how a 1-2cm plate fragment got into pie mixture without being seen. As was Halloween and on paying bill got a little busy at bar was reluctant to push more directly for action especially as out 1yr old had exhausted the both of us and we just wanted to get back to our holiday cottage 1/2 mile away and go to bed.

Being the first visit to the Slaters Arms after the recent take over, I was not sure what we were going to experience. However, I can quite honestly say, the establishment is in very safe hands: with the cosy, traditional décor and atmosphere, Neil and Natalie were fantastic hosts. On entry, we were greeted with a friendly and efficient service. Having a young child in toe, Neil accommodated his fussy dietary requirements and we were served with food of epic size and quality. Due to our oil fired stove developing a fault which meant we had no heating, hot water or ability to make hot food, our "emergency" required us to go out and eat this week. On our second night in this dilemma after a bit of head scratching I remember that I had read a while ago that The Slaters Arms had received good reports about its food so I suggested we drive round there from Cononley and try it. What a first class decision that was! It was a balmy September evening and there were people sat outside enjoying the late summer/early autumn warmth. When we arrived there were a few people eating but it filled up soon after. The standard menu is perfectly acceptable but the specials were varied and interesting also. The food was excellent, reasonably priced, obviously freshly made and served in comfortable surroundings of a typical village pub by very pleasant staff. It is genuinely a lovely place to eat and have a drink. For us, it would be difficult to find fault so I won't because there wasn't any. We will add this pub to the list of places to visit regularly in future. It is many years since I was last in this pub and it is where we used to go after winning at cricket over the village team. For anyone in the village reading this I played for a very successful Thornton-in-Craven in the mid 70's.If you need to genuinely good a reliable place to eat then choose The Slaters Arms at Bradley, you will not be disappointed.

As a family of 2 adults and 2 children (1 year and 5 years) we were made to feel extremely welcome from the minute we arrived. The pub does not have a highchair as the eating area is quite small, but we took our own highchair and this was not a problem. The food - quite simply one of the best pub meals we have ever had. I can recommend the Cajun chicken and the Thai red curry (special) and my son recommends the chicken nuggets and chips! The deserts were to die for too!The whole experience was helped by the warm welcome from Phil the landlord and the friendly relaxed atmosphere of the establishment.

Table of 10 including high chair on Sunday afternoon the 4th October, everyone enjoyed their meal, friendly staff, great food, relaxed atmosphere at sensible prices, will definitely visit again. Go early to ensure you have time to visit the boutique shops on site, which went to make a very pleasant afternoon.

We went to the slater's arms in Bradley on a quiet Thursday for a regular meal out with work colleagues. We ordered steaks all round done medium/rare or rare. When these came out they were all very well done with two of them smelling very bad. When we complained the young waitress was sent to apologise with no sign of a manager or chef, they did knock the price of one of the meals off the bill but with very little in the way of an apology. All in all, very dissapointed, we should have stuck to the Bay Horse in Skipton instead!

We called when we was on the Leeds/Liverpool canal, excellent and friendly pub with great service, fantastic beers. Could not find brilliant bar staff in Phil and Rosemary. Was not serving food, but we could order in pizza and eat in the pub

This is a typical country village pub and being the only pub in the village appears to have a very cliquish regular clientèle. Our friends had booked a table for the four of us, I would advise booking at weekends. The landlord and his staff were welcoming but an occasional smile would not have gone a miss. The food was only average, this restaurant / pub is not at the top of my list of must re-visit places.

Have visited the Slaters on many occasions, both for lunch and dinner. We enjoy large tasty starters, especially the pate and the home made soups. This evening I had the best s and k pie ever. There was lots of tender meat and ample kidney, topped with a lovely light pastry. This was served with cabbage, carrots and new potatoes. My partner had the roast beef. We were too full for desert but saw other people with tempting plates of pudding etc.The Slaters is a friendly village pub with a comfortable ambience and friendly atmosphere. The landlord and his wife always have time for a word and always receive constructive feedback gladly. In Winter there is a fabulous real open fire to warm you on a cold Winter's day.

Very lucky to get a table as it was a last minute decision to go out. The landlord was very friendly and so was the girl who served us. There was plenty of choice on the menu and also a special board. The meal was excellent I had whitebait, followed by braising steak and then one of the best lemon meringue pie I've ever had. My husband had mussels followed by hake and finished off with crumble. We thought it was very realistically priced. Will defiantly return for another meal but book in plenty of time to guarantee getting a table.

This country pub is a place we love to visit. Only small but with a very welcoming atmosphere. Phil and Rosemary are very friendly and the menu is varied with large portions and well cooked. Nothing is too much trouble.

I popped in this lunchtime after a nice sunny walk from Skipton down the canal. The pub is tucked away on the south side of town past the cricket club in a delightful spot with lovely views from the immaculate and well presented beer garden. I had a nice lunch of omelette, chips and side salad, washed down with a soft drink and then a well kept pint of Golden Best, there was a good selection of food available. The owners were also chatty and friendly and the place had a good few in enjoying food, I was made to feel welcome by other locals too.The pub has a great timeless feel to it, very cosy and friendly and I will be back again for an evening meal with the family.andyhaley67@mail.com

The Slaters Arms in Low Bradley nr Keighley is an 18th Century inn. Wonderful and warm reception from "mine hosts". Cosy bar and restaurant with inglenook fireplace. The pub is decorated with jugs, tankards, foreign currency notes and even policemens' helmets! Excellently kept real ales as well as the normal keg beers. The food is beautifully prepared home-made dishes of immense proportions. Be careful of what you wish for - our starter was so huge that we could not eat all of our main course!!The pub is only 3 miles east of Skipton in the village of Low Bradley. If arriving on the canal cross the swing bridge, walk up Ings Lane and turn right at first street on right and the pub will come into sight just after you run out of breath! Well worth the walk up the hill. One of the best local pubs we have ever visited.

Whilst on a canal boat holiday, a 10 minute stroll from the tow path took us to this welcoming local in the village of Low Bradley. As we had our dog with us, we were shown to the back bar which was fine and comfortable. The landlord and staff were very attentive and we were quickly served with our choice of the day's roast beef. We could just about manage a pudding from a list of what may have been home made options. The overall food quality was very good and the service excellent. Strongly recommended for a Sunday meal.

By chance, we were there for the first time 8 years ago. We fell in love with the fish & chips. Fresh fish, not greasy batter and crunchy chunky chips. Then we again revisited it few times while we were living in Skipton. We still liked the food every time we were there. We had tried out different dishes, each of them was thumb up. Recently, we back to the Yorkshire for holiday and Slater Arms still did not let us down. Tasty pub food at reasonable price and generous portion. If you like Bitter or Ale, they do have good offer too. Slater Arms has a cosy fireplace for the winter and nice sitting area outside for the summer. Children are welcomed there, unlike some of the other pubs. Thus, I would be very happy to recommend to anyone who is especially looking for good tasty food. Of course we are definitely go there again when we are next time in the area.

This was a super bar meal. The starters were good quality with excellent portions. So often when you order black pudding as a starter it arrives in tiny crumbs - this was three really good slices in a great mustard sauce. The other starters were equally good. Main courses; we had steak, fish and two pies (including the veggie option). All were very good, no complaints at all. Couldn't manage the sweets as were so full after two courses. Also had a bottle of wine which was reasonably priced. Would definitely go back if we are in the area. If you are in Skipton it is worth the three mile trip up to Bradley for this pub.

We meet our old friends on a regular basis and it was suggested by one of our friends that we try Slaters Arms in Bradley Nr Skipton. We met for lunch, our party is eight people and we were all made to feel very welcome, with a roaring fire helping the ambience. The pub was quiet on arrival and we were shown to our table, the menu is quite extensive and after due consideration we chose our mains. Three of us has lobster thermadore, excellet choice two had the Christmas lunch, one game pie , one lamb Henry, and one haddock mornay, without exception everybody really enjoyed their choices, it is reasonable prices and good qualtities of food are served. We had Christmas pub to finish, opne had sticky toffee, portion size did for two. Excellent value we have booked again for early February

We happened upon this pub when we moored our canal boat up for the night on the nearby Leeds and Liverpool Canal - it's in easy walking distance. We enjoyed our meal there and the people (owners and other diners) were so friendly that we went there again on our way back. The food is a step up from the usual pub fare, and the portions are generous. I ate off the specials board both times. It's a typical country pub, with a varied range of ephemera decorating its walls and beams, including several old telephones. We'll definitely eat there again when we're back in the area.

I have eaten here many times and each time I have felt unwelcome. However I continue to go as the food is so good! The owners seem to appreciate a certain type of customer and appear cold and miserable with those who don't own a jaguar. In all the times I have been the lady has never been pleasant to me or the people I have been with. In fact I think she goes out of her way to be blunt and is borderline rude. I definitely don't think they like children there. If you're 50-75 with plenty money and an expensive car you're made very welcome, if you aren't the above then you aren't.

Wow! A lovely traditional pub in the heart of Skipton. We popped in a for drink before finding somewhere to eat. As we enjoyed our drinks there was a steady stream of locals coming in for food so we decided to stay and eat. There was a good selection on the menu, including specials. The food was excellent, freshly cooked hearty food with generous portions. The staff were freindly and attentive and we will certainly be back next time we are in Skipton.

Went into the restaurant to be told they are taking the last orders as it was nearly 3pm when they stopped serving. Not a problem I get that. Walked over the path to the farm shop. Lots of nice stuff, most of it not priced up so you had no idea what you were paying. The bits that were priced up were very expensive, we called in mid ride so wanted something light. Ended up with one of the saddest "sandwiches" I've ever had. 2 thick pieces of brown bread with 1 piece of ham, then cut in half. No relish or pickle or salad. Asked what hot drinks were available, a list was reeled off by the lady serving in a very uninterested way, if they had a drinks menu up we wouldn't have asked! Settled on a latte and a cappuccino, asked for extra hot as we were sitting outside, to be told "I can only press the button". Walked out with the sad sandwich and two luke warm cups of coffee which were probably 50/50 liquid and foam. Other people came out complaining about luke warm drinks and silly prices. Definitely will not be back and wouldn't recommend it.
