Walked out after 15 minutes waiting to be served. They served a table that came in well after us despite us asking if we could order. There were 3 teenagers chatting instead of working and no one seemed be in charge.

The food was lovely it was just unfortunate that on arrival all the tables that were free weren’t clean and had the previous persons food there to which they sat us there anyway and told us that someone would be back to ‘clean’. Which was simply taking the plates away and leaving the crumbs and sticky sauce there. Upon ordering I asked 3 separate members of staff whether we could order and they all responded with “I’ll send someone over” before proceeding to go and take orders from people who arrived after us. We had waited 25 minutes before someone took our order. The food arrived 15 minutes after this and drinks another 10 after this after asking for them. We were sat surrounding dirty tables but yet staff were stood around doing nothing. A party was happening upstairs but this was obviously pre booked so there were a lot of staff in but yet the place was dirty, we were basically ignored and even the people arriving around us were walking out, which I don’t blame them when all they wanted was a hot drink yet they waited 15 minutes. Will take an awful lot for us to come back. This wasn’t our first visit which is why I’ve given it 2 stars.

Been here a couple of times but today wasn't to good. It was quite busy Latte was only just warm but my food was hot. We were a bit surprised to see although it said on menu to enquire if you needed gluten free when we asked we were told only the bread was gluten free and nothing else. What's the point ? In this day and age everywhere has a meal or two gluten free. Apart from that my grandson wouldn't eat his pepperoni pizza because he said it tasted funny. A few of us tried it and it tasted wrong. We didn't make a fuss about it when paying. From today's experience I wouldn't recomend this place sorry. Nice friendly staff though

The restaurant was very busy when we called, we were shown to a table on the first floor, initially we were the only customers along with a family of eight. The area was rather cool, however more customers arrived and the atmosphere picked up. Considering how busy the restaurant was we were served with our meals within 10-15 minutes of sitting down. The service was excellent and the food very good and reasonable. If I have a complaint I would say that the portions were too big. Bearing in mind that my wife and I are both in our 70s we found our visit very pleasurable, Thank you.

The staff were brilliant and were really helpful when my wife knocked over my drink. They replaced it without asking which was a lovely touch. The pizzas we had were over done and burned way more than a normal stone baked pizza and the cheese was hardened as a result. The soup and nachos were nice though.

Whenever we're in England (visiting family) we spend a day at Greenlands Farm. As usual, we went for lunch at Wellies Cafe. It has changed a lot since the last time we visited (before covid). I prefer the old style, it isn't as cozy and warm as it used to be. Lunch was really good though (tuna melt ciabatta was lovely!). Staff were friendly and worked really hard. Ordering via QR code with your smartphone seems efficient but I much prefer ordering the old fashioned way. A small play area or some crayons and paper would have been great. We'll bring our own next time. :)

Arrived ten minutes before opening time and asked if we could sit at a table as it was pouring down outside. Unfortunately the waitress told us quite rudely that they still had to sanitise the table. Came back ten minutes later where there seemed to be a manager who was a lot friendlier. Ordered via the app, although we found out later that it says in small letters on the sign on the tables that you can order with staff if need be. Breakfast arrived, was v average, no butter for the toast, no salt and pepper, sausage only just cooked, bacon barely cooked. Had to ask for butter and salt and pepper that a member of staff brought over in their hands!! Lovely in covid times. The worst part of the experience was when we decided to order cake and more coffee. We looked at what cakes we wanted and tried to order on the app. One of our daughters wanted chocolate cake that was on the counter but not on the app, so my friend and I sent our daughters up to the counter to order. They were told by the waitress that we had first met that they must order on the app. When I went up to question this and mentioned that we wanted chocolate cake that wasn’t on there, the girl said, I know it’s not on the app, I’m going to put it on there now! No apology, just really abrupt. At that point, we decided to leave and took our business to Beetham nurseries, where the service, food and atmosphere were fantastic. Wished we gone there in the first place! It’s such a shame because the cafe at Greenland’s is nicely done out and the rest of the staff were nice. However, as i work hard for my money, I’m not happy to spend it on bad customer service and mediocre food. I think staff training is needed as people will only put up with bad service for a while and looking at other reviews for the cafe, there seems to be a lot of negative reviews.

Stopped by for a cup of tea and a cake which proved difficult to order as the young serving staff were trying to insist on me ordering on-line via a QR code on the phone. Problem - I don't have a QR code scanner. Reluctantly the waitress agreed to take my order using the cafe ipad. When the pot of tea arrived there was barely enough for one cup (the teapot was not even full) and no extra hot water provided so I was not impressed by this stingy service. I thought about asking for hot water but knew it would be too much trouble. Only redeeming feature was the delicious tray bake.

Not enough staff resulted in long waiting times for orders. It is not until you find an uncleared table that you eventually find a notice stating you have to order online and scan their app which took half an hour after feeling stupid and having to ask a neighbouring punter three times for help. Gave up in end. This is a cafe based within an oasis of caravan parks and holiday lettings who don't deserve this franchise which only caters for technophobes.

We stopped on a bike ride for a drink and breakfast snack , my tea was served in a heavily stained cup but apart from that it was tea so maybe I should get over it. I also had a sausage ciabatta roll, it was uninspiring, the roll tasted a bit stale, there was no butter and the sausage was hard as if it had either been cooked hours before or had been reheated. Just not good enough. I masked the tasteless dry roll with red sauce. They need to look at places like Archers Cafe in bolton le sands or Wallings cafe in Cockerham , they are head and shoulders over Wellies Cafe at Greenlands farm

I was able to order food & drink but even though a notice on the table said that I could pay by contactless at the table the waitress stated this wasn't so & I had to pay via the app. we had very nice coffees & even though it was quite with only 3 other tables occupied we waited 45 mins before asking where our food was to be told that we had been forgotten, we received a total refund but were still hungry & had to find somewhere else to eat.

We came here after a lovely family day out at the farm. We ordered a chicken burger and 3 salads. One Caesar salad which was a "special" and two Cajun chicken salads. The "special" Caesar salad was essentially a massive bag of salad leaves poured into a bowl, a few chopped up bits of tomato and cucumber and a bland drizzle of sauce. Nothing Caesar about it all. No croutons, no parmesan, no anchovies, no bacon. Nothing. Just the blandest salad of all time. The chicken was fine. But again tasteless. The salad was £10. An absolute joke. The 2 Cajun chicken salads were equally disappointing. Bag of salad leaves and some chicken which tasted like it was out of a Bernard Matthews packet shoved on top. No dressing. Nothing. £30 on 3 essentially a massive bag of salad leaves and some bland chicken. The staff were nice and apolegtic when I brought this to their attention. However, apparently the chef was happy with the standard of the salad. Based on that, I wouldn't try anything else that came out of the kitchen. Overall, a lazy, overpriced, misleading, attempt at a salad.

Attended Wellies cafe today as a lunch time treat for my parents and toddler. We were already visiting the farm for other amenities. We had booked a week before anticipating busyness in light of the governments eat out to help out scheme however we were unprepared for the hour and a half wait for our lunch. Also we noticed that a table arriving after us received their food before us so imagine there was some confusion in the kitchen. That said the food was on the whole ok when it arrived, we had pizzas, burger and a avacoado, humus and falafel sandwich. However there was no humus at all in the falafel ciabatta. There was little offered in way of compensating our experience when we paid. Service wasn't the best we were not asked if we wanted any drinks etc between our long lunch wait and had to source our own bill. They were clearly understaffed and overwhelmed. Overall a little disappointing I can imagine a better experience on a less busy day.

Spur of the moment visit after going round the farm. Really good choice of food even for a fussy eater and a child. For our group we ordered one of the wood fired pizzas, a couple of sandwiches, chips side, kids chicken and chips, ham egg and chips as well as drinks and milkshakes. All the food came very well presented, piping hot and everything was polished off. You could tell they use fresh local ingredients as the food was delicious. The restaurant set up is really spacious and if you are concerned about socially distancing they have done an excellent job of not only spacing everyone out, but making sure the staff are following the guidance really well. Helpful and friendly staff. Great food and just the right selection size. The best scones around.

It was greatly in need of a clean this place. Big offput was cobwebs hanging above food serving areas and general dirty tables and floors. Food average so sorry not a happy visit.

The food was inedible. When we told them the food didn't taste right the waitress took it to the kitchen, she then returned with the full plates and told us that all the food comes pre made so that's just the way it is!! She placed it back on the table and left it with us. Over priced, disgusting, poor quality food.

We have visited the cafe numerous times before but we will not be returning . The service was poor having to ask twice for the table to be cleared of dirty pots and cleaned. We ordered jacket potato cheese and coleslaw, although well presented there was no coleslaw. The girl explained it may not look like coleslaw but it's the chef take on it. Since when as lots and lots and lots of red onion a little red pepper and raisin/sultanas been classed as coleslaw , Terrible !

The Royal Shepherd Inn is a fabulous, friendly, traditional pub. We ate here twice and the food was delicious and portions were generous. Friendly staff and warm and welcoming atmosphere.

This review is for the restaurant although we've stayed here before and would have done so again, but it was fully booked. Friendly staff, efficient service, really good menu choice including locally sourced ingredients. Well worth a visit if you are in the area, NB no parking on site but the town car park is very large and 2 minutes walk away. Recommended.

The menu for this pub is huge and I was worried that quality wouldn't match up. However, we both had burgers which were really good. Freshly prepared and nice and meaty, no complaints whatsoever. Accompaniments were good quality and plentiful. Very impressed. I have taken one star off for the wine though - there was no price list so I just chose randomly but accidentally ended up with a medium and then small glass of wine which together cost £18, which seemed very steep to me. We'd visit again but this time I'd make sure I saw a price list before ordering! Service is friendly and it's always full so make sure you book a table.
