Disappointing Visit to Fox and Hounds in Eckington, Sheffield We recently visited Fox and Hounds Pub for a wedding anniversary with family and friends and was thoroughly disappointed with the experience. The service was alarmingly slow. Despite arriving at a relatively quiet time, it took an excessive amount of time to get our orders taken and even longer for the food to arrive which wasn’t all that warm. The staff seemed disengaged and inattentive. The food was subpar. Our dishes arrived warmish and lacked flavour, as if it had been sitting out for too long. The presentation was unappealing and did not reflect the prices charged. The overall cleanliness of the establishment was concerning. The table we were seated at was sticky, and the restrooms were not well-maintained. This gave the place an unsanitary feel. Given the quality of service and food, the prices were exorbitant. We did not feel that the experience justified the cost in any way. Overall, The Fox and Hounds fell short on multiple fronts. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and makes the necessary improvements. Until then, I cannot recommend this place to others.

Gone down hill compared to our last visit . It used to be the in place for lunch but not anymore . No chips , food has no nice side salad , presentation non existence. Most disappointing and unappetising .

Pre match breakfast spot on. Magic seat overlooking the river and the ground. Prompt service, perfectly cooked and friendly.

Popped in on Wednesday evening for a mid week carvery, very good value for money at only £5.95. Very friendly couple running the pub, shame we are not local as we would come in every week. If we are in the area again we will definitely be popping in.

The park is good for family visit. A refreshing atmosphere and a nearby playground is available. The cafe is just for basic food.

Cada vez que los irlandeses del norte van a Inglaterra, siempre nos resulta difícil obtener un brekkie comparable con el de casa. Esto fue lo más cercano que tenemos. El pan en el sándwich de huevo de tocino era genial, y las salchichas en realidad sabía a salchichas adecuadas. Pequeño lugar peculiar con decoración de mod y scooter. Me encantó. Fuera de la ciudad, pero vale la pena subir en esa dirección para conseguir algo de comida decente y ver las tiendas de antigüedades.

Popped in for cappuccino and toasted teacake was decent coffee but very good teacake. But the fresh bread from their bakery was excellent.

Acabo de descubrir este lugar y visité a mis gemelas de 2 años la semana pasada. Gran lugar para disfrutar de una taza relajada con mucho para entretener a los niños y donde puedes vigilarlos fácilmente desde tu asiento. El personal también era encantador. Absolutamente volveremos.

La comida estaba bien, pero no mucha comida vegetariana o comida vegana. Sin ensalada con opciones como queso, verduras asadas, pollo, pawan, salmón, filete (ect) sin platos de pasta. En otro pub he estado para tener un menú vegano, vegetariano aparte no hay información sobre lo que hay en los platos mucha gente tiene alergias y no te dice lo que hay en los platos tampoco hay cartel diciendo si tienes alguna alergia por favor ven a ver a un miembro del personal. Pudín bien, pero desafortunadamente encontré un pelo en mi pudín labrado un miembro del personal y nada se hizo al respecto decepcionado 😞. Bebidas muy caras en comparación con otros pubs. Incluso cuando John y Ben eran dueños del pub, siempre tenían una buena ensalada con todo lo que contiene más extra y siempre proporcionan para los veganos, vegetarianos ahora no es realmente nada, a veces simplemente no hay algo simple.

Fantastic food, very friendly and helpful staff. I love the English Breakfast with a pot of tea. We will come back next time we are in Sheffield.

Came here for lunch today and both had the hunters chicken and chips, first mistake at a place like this. After a few bites we decided it tasted funny and undercooked. We’ve been home for hours now and both of us have been feeling off and stomachs are in agony. My girlfriend has been throwing up and in pain for hours now. Terrible, stay well clear if you value your health and wellbeing. AWFUL!
