Amazing Amazing Amazing. We just love this place. The staff are so lovely, they make you feel so welcome. The cafe is cosy and the bacon baps and coffee are incredible.

Lovely take away fish and chips. All fresh and crispy. I was pleased they did a smaller portion of haddock and chips, it was delightful.

Great breakfast, great prices!! High quality ingredients! Cash only and be prepared to queue but it's worth the wait! Been to Whitby lots of times and finally found it ! Highly recommend

Second time having breakfast at The Pines for me, third for my mum and brother with whom I come on holiday to lovely Filey. I can see how the local older folk love this little cafe but you don't have to be old to appreciate its charm or indeed a good, reasonably priced English breakfast. Malcolm is a great host with his cheeky banter!

We visited here on a Saturday morning, there were only a couple of tables free, lovely atmosphere, dogs are allowed in. We had drinks and my daughter had a bacon sandwich, really nice and not too expensive. We will definitely visit again for something to eat!

Myself and family are regularly in the coast cafe having a range of things either drinks, sweet treats or food and every time its lovely an I would definitely recommend to anyone. The entertainment that they put on is equally brilliant.

Wow. Stayed in Hunmanby for a week and visited the pantry every day it was open (closed Sunday and Monday) - amazing cakes (egg custard, bakewells, frangipanis, tarts) delicious bread. Bought filled rolls for a picnic one day, great selection of fillings (Brie and grape, ploughman’s) and their coffee, even though from a machine (sorry to judge), was really delicious. Also bought rolls to fill with burgers from the nearby Wells butcher, which were also wonderful.

We accidently discovered this cafe while hunting around Whitby for something more "homely". The staff were very accommodating for our party of 7. They ensured we got seated and looked after us all the step of the way. The food was plentiful, tasty, and very reasonably priced. There was a good selection that suited both adults and children. If you want to avoid the mass of marauding tourists and seaguls. Take a stroll up the hill to Stokers.

Great cafe - great staff and comfortable, tasteful ambience. The food is good and I’d definitely recommend the pancake stack.

Popped in here for lunch on Saturday 27-08-22. So impressed. Good quality ingredients, reasonably priced. Home made pies,quiche. So good went back half an hour later and purchased takeaway salad for tea as well!!! Service and staff first rate.

Ordered a medium beef dinner, yorkshire pudding wrap, lemon cake and a apple crumble/custard. All were lovely! Fast service and good price for quality food. Would definitely come again and recommend x

Our party of 12 recently enjoyed a Christmas dinner. A warm welcome, attentive service and a wonderful ambience were all in abundance. The location is among the best on the east coast and the venue is basically perfect for an evening out and not just a meal. All tastes were catered for. Our family enjoyed the sumptuous Sea Bass, melt in your mouth Beef Brisket and of course my favourite, traditional Christmas turkey. All the food was delicious and presented to a high standard. The parfait starter was given high praise but desserts were arguably the best course and special mention must go the extensive cheeseboard. Admittedly I was initially reluctant to write a review as we were thinking of keeping this venue as our little secret. However Cecil's deserves to be talked about, given the lovely service from the staff team (even the Newcastle united fan barman 😁) and the obvious investment and care that has gone into making this restaurant so nice. Merry Christmas from the Kelly's and Povarenkova's 😊

The food is piping hot and freshly prepared. The bagles are absolutely delicious with plenty of fillings as are the salad boxes and breakfast boxes will definitely be back.big thank you to all the helpful staff
