Great find in Whitby, this tea room was great. We had a great breakfast which was really tasty and good value. Definitely come back again.

Me detuve en lo que, por fuera, parecía una buena cafetería con buenas críticas de los asesores de viaje y pidió un café para llevar para mí y mi esposa. ¡Probablemente el peor café que he bebido! Los frijoles sabían a quemado, tenía que tirarlo a 100 m de la tienda. Mi esposa pidió una leche no láctea en la suya. Salió frío y el barista usó una máquina que estaba llena de leche láctea.

Popped in here for lunch on Saturday 27-08-22. So impressed. Good quality ingredients, reasonably priced. Home made pies,quiche. So good went back half an hour later and purchased takeaway salad for tea as well!!! Service and staff first rate.

Ordered a medium beef dinner, yorkshire pudding wrap, lemon cake and a apple crumble/custard. All were lovely! Fast service and good price for quality food. Would definitely come again and recommend x

The food is piping hot and freshly prepared. The bagles are absolutely delicious with plenty of fillings as are the salad boxes and breakfast boxes will definitely be back.big thank you to all the helpful staff

First time visit and the food was very good. Lovely friendly staff . We would highly recommend the boat shed and will definitely be visiting again.

Very clean shop well presented the produce looks amazing unfortunately this is where my problem lies, the sirloin steaks looked great, nice and thick just as a steak should be I paid over £20 for 2.however when I Got home and opened they were slightly thicker than minute steaks and the quality of the meat was subpar, very misleading to squish the steak up to make it look thicker than it’s actually cut. Very disappointing especially with all the good reviews on here. We would have gone Back and stocked up on other goodies to take away with us but don’t like throwing money away. I have no problem spending that bit more for quality, but when you can get better at aldi there’s obviously a problem.

Given the area's rich food heritage, I've always been amazed by the lack of fine dining restaurants in and around Whitby. And so, Restaurant Number 20 shines like a beacon amidst a sea of fish & chip shops and overpriced pub food. The restaurant is cosy and intimate ran by a husband and wife team with an open plan kitchen, and this ethos spreads to the service and food. The service was friendly and attentive, knowing when to be discreet and when to stop and chat. Whilst the menu is a small but expertly curated mix of seasonal and local produce, so naturally expect plenty of fish and seafood. The brill was the standout on this visit, but on past visits the aged fillet steak was equally delicious and expertly cooked. What really makes Restaurant Number 20 stand out for us is the attention paid to the desserts. So many places - including those with Michelin stars - are often let down by forgettable dessert options. But here, it's arguable that the desserts are the stand out. With the Burnt Cheesecake an unforgettable experience that we haven't stopped thinking about since our first visit, and a must-have at every visit since. An truly hidden gem well worth seeking out, and should top of the list for anyone looking for a restaurant for a date night or special occasion along the North Yorkshire Coast

A gem of a tea room, the only one we saw in the vicinity of the harbour. Only had a scone and tea both were fresh and delicious. Lots of food on offer with a comprehensive menu. Friendly staff too.

Second time having breakfast at The Pines for me, third for my mum and brother with whom I come on holiday to lovely Filey. I can see how the local older folk love this little cafe but you don't have to be old to appreciate its charm or indeed a good, reasonably priced English breakfast. Malcolm is a great host with his cheeky banter!

Lovely breakfast here today, freshly cooked. Staff were really pleasant and brought the food over to the table. Would definitely recommend and return if we were in the area again

We didn't realise the Fox is quite a drive from Saltburn-by-the-Sea but don't let that put you off...we had the warmest welcome, friendly service and awesome food..all in all a great experience and a lovely evening ❤️

As soon as you step inside your spoilt for choice as the food looks so good. We only had a couple of cakes but they tasted amazing and really wish we had tried more. Maybe next time
