Myself and 2 friends visited the Runswick Bay Tea Gardens for lunch. We were greeted by Ann, the lovely owner in her delightful garden. We had sandwiches, cake and pots of tea. Ann was very accommodating and had a delightful sense of humour. Our sandwiches were freshly made and the choice of her homemade cakes proved a challenge, as we wanted them all! So we ordered 3 different ones and shared them. They were all delicious 😋. We would highly recommend anyone to visit. You will be given a very warm welcome and served delicious food, freshly made to order. Excellent value for money too. Thank you Ann, you made our day!

Beautiful little tea room in a gorgeous garden! We had a selection of sandwiches and cakes, all of which were absolutely delicious. Everything homemade by the lovely owner. Highly recommend the hummingbird cake and plum almond tart, although she informed us she bakes fresh scones every day so we will definitely be back to try those too! Small note that it is cash only - make sure to get some money out as you absolutely do not want to miss this place when visiting Runswick Bay!

We had to skip a year, but it was lovely to visit this tea garden again this summer! We hope to be able to keep enjoying Anne's fresh home baking for as long as we can and for as long as she keeps going 😋 The menu varies, but this year we had lemon drizzle cake, cherry & almond tart and lemon meringue pie.

We accidently discovered this cafe while hunting around Whitby for something more "homely". The staff were very accommodating for our party of 7. They ensured we got seated and looked after us all the step of the way. The food was plentiful, tasty, and very reasonably priced. There was a good selection that suited both adults and children. If you want to avoid the mass of marauding tourists and seaguls. Take a stroll up the hill to Stokers.

Loved the kimchi dumplings and the sushi. The bowl of delight which I forget the name of was delicious as was the sweet chilli chicken. All freshly cooked and tasty! We will return to try what we missed!! It was very reasonably priced, friendly service and can’t recommend enough.
