We stumbled across this place whilst wandering around the old town. It’s near the swing bridge on Grape Street Small menu so we tried most of it - everything we had was great. Loved the kimchi dumplings and the sushi. The bowl of delight which I forget the name of was delicious as was the sweet chilli chicken. All freshly cooked and tasty! We will return to try what we missed!! It was very reasonably priced, friendly service and can’t recommend enough.

I popped in as he had cups of tea advertised for 50p . These are large takeaway cups and the tea is freshly made ..tea is typhoo and not cheap catering stuff . We sat down at one of the two tables and the Polish Gentleman that runs the place brought over 2 pieces of Southern fried chicken as a free sample . Personally I HATE Southern fried chicken HOWEVER.. I didn't want to offend him as he was so nice at giving us a free sample. Wifey tried her piece and was delighted with it. I tried mine and I was very surprised . Fresh (Not frozen!) chicken breast..not reconstituted rubbish . Chicken was coated in a home made breaded batter that was not greasy and was seasoned just right. very light texture . He makes his own garlic sauce which is a garlic mayonase that is really strong... in a good way ! Each portion we had was 6 pieces of chicken and steak cut chips to go with it . Two portions cost £5.99 and each cup of tea was 50p . So, £6.99 for an easy lunch. I felt satisfied all day . This is the ONLY SFC I will eat now . He does Burgers and bacon toasties amongst other things . I will try these next time we visit . He is a really nice guy who mades everything himself . Well worth going to again .

If you want fantastic chicken, this is the place you need to come to when your in Scarborough. Head into town look for Huntriss row. If you can't find that, look for KFC , but that's all. Stop at there door look down the road , you will see a red sign that says Ko-Ko's chicken. You will not go anywhere else once you've been in Ko-Ko's. Absolutely fantastic.

Great cafe - great staff and comfortable, tasteful ambience. The food is good and I’d definitely recommend the pancake stack.

Wow. Stayed in Hunmanby for a week and visited the pantry every day it was open (closed Sunday and Monday) - amazing cakes (egg custard, bakewells, frangipanis, tarts) delicious bread. Bought filled rolls for a picnic one day, great selection of fillings (Brie and grape, ploughman’s) and their coffee, even though from a machine (sorry to judge), was really delicious. Also bought rolls to fill with burgers from the nearby Wells butcher, which were also wonderful.

We accidently discovered this cafe while hunting around Whitby for something more "homely". The staff were very accommodating for our party of 7. They ensured we got seated and looked after us all the step of the way. The food was plentiful, tasty, and very reasonably priced. There was a good selection that suited both adults and children. If you want to avoid the mass of marauding tourists and seaguls. Take a stroll up the hill to Stokers.

Second time having breakfast at The Pines for me, third for my mum and brother with whom I come on holiday to lovely Filey. I can see how the local older folk love this little cafe but you don't have to be old to appreciate its charm or indeed a good, reasonably priced English breakfast. Malcolm is a great host with his cheeky banter!
