Excellent welcome, friendly, great cakes and usual range of hot drinks. Facilities available at front of hall, with disabled access. Very good fare, very easy on the pocket too. We have a great time when we go there, and the philosophy is spot on. Knowing that any profit supports the elderly gives you a good feeling too. Would strongly commend WISE.

Amazing food and even better company! The leg of lamb fell off the bone and the chicken leg was so flavourful. Nice to have a wheelchair accessible restaurant in Boston Spa, that serves great food.

Today’s mission: review Tim’s Café at Thorp Arch, nestled between Wetherby and Tadcaster. Tucked away in an industrial estate that’s more business than play these days, Tim’s is a hidden gem. Once a bustling retail hub with a mega play park, it's now filled with learner drivers and instructors. Sundays are a madhouse thanks to the car boot sale, so either get there early or call ahead to place an order. Just a stone’s throw from the prison, it’s worth a visit if you're tired of the standard cheese and ham toasties. Tim’s has always been our go-to spot. We usually grab breakfast and some OJ. They’ve got a ton of options and will customise your order—well, they do for us anyway. It's affordable and good value for money. Their bacon sarnie in a sub roll with extra bacon? Legendary. And their Full English is a hangover hero. The staff? Absolute legends. Always nice, chilled, and chatty—perfect if you're not usually the sociable type. Plus, your dog gets the VIP treatment with their own sausage. Fair warning: if you eat in, you might leave smelling like a fry-up. So, if that’s a dealbreaker, just grab your food to go. All in all, definitely recommended.

We went to Wetherby today for a ride. It was our first visit, we were pleasantly surprised. We were looking for a cafe & saw Pomfrets down a lovely side street with beautiful hanging baskets & planters. We only wanted a drink , but the scones looked so tempting my husband had a pear & honeycomb scone. The lady that took our order I think it was Anna was lovely, friendly & complimentary. All of the staff were friendly & happy 😊 We will definitely return, when I’m not on a diet 🤭🤤😋

We hit upon this by chance to have breakfast as all other searches that came up were full. We are so glad they were all full as this place is a hidden gem for brekkie. The staff very polite freindly and attentive. It's a pub but with character and the breakfast is good value for money with two full breakfasts and two lattes for under 20 quid. They also cook the brekkie to your liking if you request it. A full rounded breakfast and if you don't visit here for brekkie your missing a trick. Plenty of room as its a pub which makes the service excellent. Fantastic hosts who served us.

We arrived 5 mins before opening so we sat in the beer garden and then went to the bar. Other people arrived and also sat in the beer garden or in the bar area after us. The hatch from the bar was opened to the outdoor area and as I waited to be served drinks were pulled along with a packet of crisps and passed out to what was obviously a regular. Then a half of lager was pulled for a guy who came in after us who sat down in the bar. After they were served I was served . I used to be a regular but I won’t be going again as there are more welcoming pubs in wetherby who want new customers who might end up being regulars. We were going to eat there but have decided someone more deserving can have our custom. Shocking service, Regulars come back and wait their turn, it wasn’t busy. Disgraceful !!

Excellent food and great choice. Suggest you book ahead. For the "top" meals they are between £25 and £30 each. I had a mixed fish dish which was excellent.

Super spot - excellent coffee. Interesting crockery - cafe stylishly decorated . Prompt service - on a busy Saturday morning …….small venue with limited seating but tables outside .

What an excellent find this great lovely little pub with good old-fashioned customer service and excellent staff and great food and drinks. Pubs like this and are dying Breed all over the country. It’s a shame the place has great atmosphere ideal for taking family and friends. Food is excellent quality and cannot fault. I found this place by driving past on the way to Leeds so I decided to give it a try.

The biggest asset here seems to be the staff who worked hard and remained cheerful despite being one team member short.( I presume) We sat at table 8 before ordering from the bar - and had our order delivered to table 5. Later, when we ordered again, we were told that we were sat at table 5 - even though the disc on the table said 8! We had poached eggs on toast which were fine and sweet chilli chicken sandwich which was not as it really lacked chicken. Not worth the £12 paid, despite the finely crumbled crisps on the accompanying salad! I tried to pay with cash - but was told ‘card only’ though didn’t see any sign to that effect. A further note on the theme of communication. The Gents toilets were down some steps, at basement level. So why put the ‘out of order - use upstairs (disabled) toilet’ notice on the door rather than at the top of the stairs?
