As usual the café was really busy, but this is a testament to the quality of the food also the friendliness of the staff, they work so hard to make sure that the food and drinks are served as quick as possible without losing quality, please remember they can only go as fast as the cooking allows, if it is exceptionally busy they do give you a time scale for your food, it is then up to you if you wait or not (we always do, as do others for the lovely food), we'll done to all for your fantastic service and food, we will 100% be back again, and constantly recommend you to all our friends and family 🥰😁😋

Waited 57minutes for sandwich’s in the cafe what an absolute joke!! Had to get a refund for 2 of the sandwiches as what they brought out wasn’t even edible!! Ordered a bacon spam and tomato they brought me a bread cake out with 1 slice of bacon the thinnest piece of spam I’m talking paper thin. We was sat in the cafe for 57minutes everyone was getting there food before us even tho we had ordered before them tried to speak to the owner about the situation as I wasn’t happy at all wouldn’t speak telling another member of staff to sort it! Absolutely disgusting customer service and the food was even worst! I will not be entering the cafe again it’s absolutely appalling how we’ve just been tret! Your ok taking peoples money you should be doing peoples orders in line absolute joke. Doing peoples orders first because you knew them ect we are all paying customers

Great spot for breakfast came here when visiting the carboot sale held here. The large breakfast exceptional value for money. The standard breakfast i personally felt it needed more items has there was no tomatoes, hash browns. Or mushrooms but for the price it was still very nice. The toast however was burnt and thick in butter not how i like it and not cut either.

We have been eating at Tim's bistro for nearly 2yrs now whilst attending the car boot. Great food and good prices...nothing too much trouble for the wonderful staff who make us all feel welcome. Always friendly banter and a great atmosphere. Always busy and runs like clockwork. ❤

The best breakfast ever and the homemade steak pie is delicious. A little off the beaten track but always busy and well worth a visit

Tim catered for 30 of our guests offering a range of options. We ordered the meals to go (in advance) and they were all hot and fresh and thoroughly enjoyed by everyone. Steak pie was full of meat, quiche was super tasty, beef sandwich amazing with tender meat. Cakes are varied and all is excellent value.

At the Great Car Boot slae which happens each Sunday and went for our usual Fried Egg sandwich and Bacon and Mushroom. This is one of the best fried egg sandwiches, bread lovely and soft and eggs (you get 2) nice a runny. Hubby loves the Bacon and mushroom as well. Really good value for money and great to see Tim using the new types of boxes.

Friendly, attentive service. Ordered fish finger sandwiches and very pleased with them when they arrived. We sat in a conservatory area which proved a bit noisy but the noise was down to clientele rather than staff.

Went to the cafe for breakfast, I'm not joking the place is filthy! When I got home I thought I'd look on the food standards website to see what the rating was, to my horror its has 1 star out of 5. The olsde needs closing absolutely disgraceful someones going to get killed eating from this place. DISGUSTING Please check the food standards website

Went to car boot there and it was rubbish..took my family and the food was cold .next time when you go passed the kitchen look in it's dirty.

Stopped for lunch with hubby and dog after a long walk. Very generous bacon sandwich. Yum. Offered the dog a sausage! Which he thoroughly enjoyed. All happy

Went on my dinner hour with two colleagues, ordered a half pound burger no cheese no sauce as im allergic to cheese. My order arrived with cheese and sauce I told the staff who apologised and said they would bring another which they did. This time it had no sauce but still had cheese. Again I explained my order to them, again they apologised and said they would bring another, 2 mins later another was brought I thought it was quick as the last time it took 10 mins to cook and bring to me. When they put it on the table I saw some cheese on the side of the burger so I lifted the bread of turned the top patty over and saw that they had just scraped the cheese off leaving lots of cheese on the patty and then put it back upside down hoping I wouldn't notice. IM ALLERGIC TO CHEESE. This is horrendous customer service and a shocking insight into how they cut corners what else do they cut corners on ?????

Hadn't visited Thrope Arch in many years and found the Cafe Bistro to be the only place left open, but what a great place. Lovely staff, great service and wonderful food at great prices. Will be going back on my next visit to Wetherby

6 plates ordered. Waited 45 minutes before any food came. 3 plates served then it took a further 15 minutes for the other 3 to come! All Barely warm enough, potentially warmed up in the microwave. Undercooked and over cooked in all the wrong ways. (eggs burnt and hard, bacon practically raw, sausages dried out, beans tepid at best, hash brown hard, not cooked properly….. etc) Forgot everyone’s spam off the breakfasts. Young staff were very inexperienced and have obviously had little to no training. Extremely disappointing to say the least. NEVER AGAIN Happy Mothers Day

Expensive for a full English breakfast also you don’t get a great deal. Thinnest slice of spam I’ve ever seen.

The Cafe Bistro is a regular stop-off for us after a dog walk as you're guaranteed good food and a cheery greeting from the staff, even when you're soggy and foot-sore! Dogs are welcome as long as they're well behaved - we normally sit in the conservatory or outside with a view of the pond. Staff are always accommodating of my weird dietary requests (keto diet, so I get double cream in my coffee!) and the crispy bacon part of the Full Breakfast is to die for! Looking forward to our next visit :)

Went here for lunch with the kids. I had an amazing all day breakfast. It was huge and had spam in it which you don’t get very often nowadays and was a rare treat. Fried bread was probably the best I’ve had. Kids loved their meals (sausage , chips and beans and fish , chips and beans). Food came quickly and was amazing value. I think the breakfast was about 6 quid but I was full for the next week off it. Kids played on the hills around with a frisbee after (the park is now shut unfortunately). Had a great time. Visited the car boot sale sunday and decided to grab some breakfast while we were here, visited a number of times over the last few months and always enjoyed the food and the service. However we were very disappointed when visiting today. We sat outside...

ordered a BLT plus everyone elses breakfast buttys,drove round from the vets picked them up in polystyrene cartons not a good sign as it makes them soggy my BLT was cold and undercooked bacon on brown sliced bread this delightful sandwhich cost me £3.50 yet...

Had 2 takeaway sandwiches- bacon etc...4 items for £3.50 -went often years back but will not go again. One female staff member had a mask-over her mouth but not nose-everyone else even through the hatch cooking wore none. Waited over 15 mins-sandwiches came and tasted...

The takeaway coffee and toastee were disgusting in fact it’s the worst food I have ever had a new time low. My advice is to avoid

Was in the area so thought I’d slip in for a scone and cuppa at the Cafe & Bistro, Thorp Arch. Nice and quiet + the cheese scones on show were a good size so happy to have one toasted as suggested by the waiter....

Called on Sunday and although most of the retail shops have closed this cafe was heaving. Very friendly owner who goes the extra mile to ensure he’s giving you value for money. The service was quick end efficient and the portions were huge.

To have a piece of apple pie for £3.00 then be charged an extra £1.60 for a dollop of custard is exhorbitant and far beyond reasonable pricing.

Cheap and cheerful, great for half way stop when cycling. Busy at peak periods when dealing with take away orders. Though I have not had to wait long for bacon sandwiches.

A wet Saturday afternoon and find this lovely little place. Very friendly staff and a comfortable atmosphere. Cappuccino coffee was good as was the espresso. One cheese scone and one fruit scone. Both home made and delicious. Will definitely pay another visit.

La señora que me sirvió no podría haber sido más útil para hacer el pedido. Fue cocinado en una razón de tiempo. Grandes porciones y comida cocinada estaba caliente y sabrosa. Esta es una cafetería muy popular y el personal de varios lugares en el sitio ordenaba sus almuerzos. Fue bueno que nos dieran la bienvenida y la comida era deliciosa ya un precio razonable.

The cafe has an old school seaside feel to it. Food really is excellent and good value for money. There's something for everyone to choose from. We have had various items and we all enjoyed. It's very busy on the takeaway side too. The cakes are absolutely unbelievable, so tasty

Whilst Thorp Arch Retail Park is a shadow of its former self (in the 80s it was 'a big afternoon out'), this hidden gem makes any visit worthwhile. The service is always so friendly and the food excellent. A varied menu too.

He estado usando este lugar durante más años de los que recuerdo, se llevó a mi hijo un día, cuando tenía unos 5 años, ahora tiene 17 años y todavía vamos por la salchicha, papas fritas y salsa, nunca tuve nada tan bueno como aquí . No estarás decepcionado pero estarás lleno.

The cafe offers a telephone order service, with the claim that this will reduce your waiting time as your order will be ready to collect at an agreed time. I have been several times and not once has this been the case.

This is a hidden gem tucked away on the Thorp Arch Estate although obviously well known to the locals judging by the busy takeout area. Very friendly owners and staff, excellent food for all tastes cooked to perfection and pricing is good also. We always call when we are in the area, usually to visit the Decoporium, but could do with something else nearby so that I would have an excuse to visit more often.

We always attend this place a few times a year, always good and hot. Would recommend if passing the area.

My hubby and I had a delicious lunch today, my fourth visit. Would absolutely recommend chicken coronation in a jacket potato. My hubby said the carrot cake was the best he’d ever tasted. Very friendly and attentive staff. We’ll be back !!

Visited as passing on a bike ride, good value food and big portions. Had the beef sandwich with mushrooms and gravy which was huge!

Had to wait nearly an hour for two sandwiches. Cake was soggy and horrible would not go her again staff are rude too

My partner and I visited the Cafe and Bistro yet again.

We strolled across with our dog from Wetherby in search of a good bacon sandwich ( we have been before so this was a destination trip) With the weather being cold and damp we elected to eat inside where dogs are welcome. Upon ordering our bacon sandwiches the owner of the establishment recognised we had our dog with us and asked if he would like a sausage. We took up the offer, the bacon sandwiches were excellent, our dog got a free sausage and we are sure we heard him murmur under the table “ I got a sausage” Top effort looking after our little friend.

Plenty of seating, wasn’t overly busy when we got there, food was really nice so was the drinks very good prices, portions spot on too. Definitely recommend 🚲🚲👍👍

We needed to call at another unit just down road from cafe bistro, so once finished, we went for our breakfast / lunch i had full breakfast, if this is what you call a full breakfast then am sorry 2 dry crispy eggs 2 sausage 2 bacon ??? I met friends for lunch at this little quaint little cafe. There was a good choice on the menu all at a good price. They do a children’s menu and cater for people with allergies or vegetarian. There is a conservatory and an outdoor sitting area for the summer at the side of a pond.

The Caf and Bistro es un lugar así y está a solo 10 minutos de la A 1 cerca de Wetherby. Se encuentra en el sitio de una antigua fábrica de municiones con los bunkers ahora transformados en unidades de venta. Los adultos mayores pueden reclamar un 10% de descuento los días de semana, pero la mayor atracción es la excelente comida casera de Yorkshire. Mi favorito personal es la tarta de manzana con crema, aunque los platos principales son deliciosos, ya sea una ensalada o una comida cocinada con salsa de cebolla Yorkshire. We visit this place often. The food is very good and a huge selection to choose from ranging from a panini to roast beef dinner with Yorkshire puddings.but be aware portion size generous.

Nos acercamos a lo que habría sido nuestra segunda taza y almuerzo, pero cuando pedí un agua caliente, ¡me cobraron 50 p! Ahora me doy cuenta de que debería haber comentado esto, pero me sorprendió un poco que me cobraran. Visitamos el Bistro regularmente como un grupo de ciclistas de U 3 A Wetherby. Tim siempre es amigable, los pasteles, bollos y tocino son deliciosos aunque un poco grandes [a menudo compartimos entre dos]. Todo, incluso los pasteles, son cocinados por el personal de la cocina. Vale la pena tomar la A 1 (M) para un descanso para comer.

My partner and I have been here a few times for breakfast and couldn't fault anything. The lovely and attentive staff members were really friendly and everything was brought in a timely fashion. There is a wide range of food, and we shall definitely have to come back for the sweet treats that are on offer.

Called in with a mate for a coffee and a cake whilst out cycling, the coffee was very good as was the cake, the middle aged guy who served us though seemed to have other things on his mind other than his customers , not very welcoming at all

Having read the reviews on Tripadvisor, we diverted from our journey from Dorset to Northumberland to have brunch at The Cafe and Bistro. What a great choice! We received a lovely welcome and were told that we could order from either the breakfast or main menus, and to let them know if we had any special requests for variations to the menu choices. After being stuck in the car for hours, it was great to be able to sit at a table outdoors by an ornamental pond to eat (there were plenty of tables indoors too, of course!).

Found this quirky, off the beaten track Cafe from another review on TripAdvisor. We needed a dog friendly breakfast stop after travelling up from Hampshire and this hit the spot. 4 x full English plus a dog sauasge for less than £25.00.

My friend and I visited Thorpe Arch 25/3/18 , we wanted a bite to eat so we tried the Cafe and Bistro, we ordered two roast beef Sunday lunches and I had lemon cake and custard the Sunday lunch was very tasty fabulous gravy and served hot, we didn’t seem to wait long at all, lovely friendly staff.

The cafe is adjacent to the playground, we had never been so ventured in one Saturday at lunchtime.

Called in to Thorp arch for a look at some sofas we went to the cafe for a coffee n cake to chat over the settee we wanted. This cafe is lovely coffee is very nice and hot all the staff were lovely would recommend this cafe if you're in the area they do take aways as well so if in a hurry grab a coffee on the go highly recommended

Grumpy middle aged waitress and cold badly presented breakfast with cold beans and burnt bacon,it has certainly taken a nosedive. The food wasn’t cheap either. Will not go again.

Stopped by here for a spot of breakfast with the wife on a Saturday morning and was welcomed by a very friendly chap behind the counter overall the food was excellent no complaints at all

The occasion was a cold and wintry Sunday morning following a very long walk with our dog, as we approached the cafe we were enticed by the smell of cooking and decided to call in for cheeky bacon sandwiches and lattes. We both dislike greasy bacon and requested crispy bacon. The sandwiches arrived and were far bigger than we anticipated and contained generous portions of crispy bacon, exactly as requested. We were there for a simple snack with a specific request (crispy bacon) which was delivered......well done for listening and delivering for the customer. We will be back for more

We went to the takeaway part of this cafe as had visited before and vaguely remember it being nice. It can only be summed up as a typical greasy caf'. The food was nice once the mounds of grease was soaked up but took a good 25 minutes to arrive through. Staff both occasions very nice. Would still use again if in the area, cheap and cheerful.

We have not been here for a while but after shopping came here for coffee. Had coffee and scones ,Fast and friendly service and good value .We will be back and try breakfast one morning as it looked nice .plenty of parking .!!

I regularly have a mid morning break at the Bistro when out with our U3A cycling group. My wife and I also occasionally go for a light lunch if we are out shopping. The food is good, wholesome, British items served in substantial portions [we usually share a scone for example]. There is a 10% reduction for pensioners and for cyclists up to 11.30 am. All the food is cooked on site, the owners and staff are friendly and cheerful.

We have visited on quite a few occasions and never been disappointed, the cafe is a lot bigger than it looks from the outside and being on the retail park means parking is unlimited. There is a huge selection on both the menu and the "specials", you can see the food being cooked and the portions are very large and reasonably priced, there are too many menu choices to list but we've always been more than happy with all of our choices. There is an adjacent take-away attached to the cafe and you can see from the volume of orders being placed for take-always from workers on the retail/industrial park how popular this place is, if you go for breakfast/lunch here you won't be disappointed.

Hay dos opciones para el desayuno inglés completo o mini inglés. Si se sirve antes de las 11. 30 te dan una bebida gratis. Hay otras opciones, pero si no está roto, no lo arregle.

Stopped here mid way through a long cycle ride. The cafe is very cyclist friendly, the food looked very good, we had tea and scones will definitely be calling back for a more substantial meal!

Tired of hotel breakfast we stopped on the way up the road. It's way off the motorway but better than any service station and worth the detour. First good breakfast in days and everything was as it should be. Decent coffee and really cheap (compares to hotel rates) Good location if you have kids as it has a play park there and is quiet. Home made cakes and scones looked amazing and I'm now looking for an excuse to go back to try them. I do like more options with a full breakfast like different puddings and mushrooms etc but it was good anyway.

Certainly off piste Tim & Elle's is worth hunting out. ...good meeting point for A1 travellers - about 10' drive away. This is a middle-range transport caff with serious man-food (bangers & mash....cottage pie...fish & chips). Yes, there are also lighter dishes & salads & huge cake slices etc... but it's really wholesome fayre. Very friendly & enterprising owners & long established staff. Couldn't be more helpful. Sat Nav gets you within reach of this hidden gem...then tenacity is required!! LS23 7FE

Friendly staff, promptly served and great food as always. Went for Sunday lunch and although busy didn't have to wait long. Been several times now and food has always been great. If you don't have room for dessert I recommend taking some away.

Got a sandwich from here which consisted of a 4 inch diameter bread cake, 1 rasher of bacon, 1 sausage with brown sauce and was charged £3.00!!! Oh yes, it was also cold. Never again!

You will not find this place by accident, you need to plan! But it's a great little cafe and SO much better than the dreadful motorway service stations. A simple menu that includes lots for Vegetarians and they love dogs, so much so that they get a free sausage! Well worth the 3 mile detour from the A1

Went for lunch with my daughter and 2 grandchildren. We found a table quickly in the conservatory which was very pleasant. The girls had tuna sandwich and chips which was enough to share between them there was plenty of filling in the sandwich. If you have a pot of tea you get enough for 2 cups and can be as strong as you want it. Clean and friendly environment with quick service. Would recommend this cafe and bistro if on the retail park.

We ordered 2 meals from the main menu at £8.99 each and a pot of tea for two. The meals which consisted of haddock, chips and peas, and scampi, chips and peas took 25 minutes to arrive and when we started to eat noticed that the chips were luke warm at best. The waitress was notified and she returned them to the kitchen where they were placed on the serving hatch for another 10 minutes. A hand appeared and removed the cold chips which were then replaced with warm chips by another hand. Not very hygienic. The meal was returned to us but the rest of the meal was cold. No real apology and after spending £22.00 we were really disappointed. Surely if a plate is returned the whole meal should be replaced. We would not recommend and will not return.

Just popped in for a quick drink whilst waiting for the shops to open. There were already lots of people dropping in for take away breakfast and a few people already sat in the Cafe area. Lots on the menu but we only wanted a quick drink as the shops weren't open yet. (The garden centre next door is now shut down) Some of the chairs in the cafe are looking a bit tired, but never mind. The drink hit the spot.

After Visiting The Decorium at Thorp Arch we decided to lunch at the Cafe and Bistro next door the Decor is Basic but the Menu is extensive with a wonderful choice,I had Sausage and Mash with Onions and Gravy Mint my Wife and Daughters had Jacket Potato with Toppings also fab.i Would recommend this Gaff to anyone in Yorkshire who love Scran at a decent price!

We called today for a late lunch, which they were happy so serve, 2 toasties with chips and 2 teas, the food was delivered fast but by a man in very dirty clothes, I was always taught to wash my hands not wipe them on my clothes, Anyway we sat in the conservatory which was lovely and warm when we arrived, but as soon as we were given our food the heating went off and staff started stacking chairs on tables, how to make your customers feel unwelcome.So the food was ok but the food hygiene rating is not good , if we had google it before we would not have eaten, Sadly this experience was not a good one,

Food, atmosphere, service and everything was very,very good. No complaints whatsoever. Thoroughly enjoyed my visit.

For those who make the daily trek up and down the A1/M1 the Cafe Bistro on Thorp Arch industrial estate is a must if you are regularly using the services.I have been using the takeaway services for about 3 years but only recently sat down for breakfast.I had the full English with a very large mug of tea and i can't say is was disappointed.Everything was cooked and presented very well and you are always met with a smiling face who are ready to provide you with good food and a friendly environment .

The restaurant was busy so we used the takeaway and received first class service with hardly any waiting

We like to pop down here if we fancy coffee and cake. I have eaten lunch here before and the jacket and chilli was lovely. Fresh and tasty. The cakes are all homemade and good sized portion. The gentleman always offers to warm the cake up too. Yum! There is a wide range of lunch and cake options. It's very relaxing to sit and enjoy your coffee. The gentleman who serves you is very friendly and seems to like a good chin wag. Overall a lovely pit stop. Even do takeaway if you don't have time to sit in.

Little hidden treasure - great portions - great menu - tasty food wholesome and delicious - value for money - definitely be back and would make trip just for food - only negative could be little bit nicer tables and chairs but that's being picky
