Regent in Leeds

Lost a good custom today five of us due to lack of wheelchair access which you do not state on your website what a wasted journey we all had .

Really decent side street pub. Good choice of ales and efficient service.

Going downhill in my opinion. Previously been a good pub and the last land lord really made a difference. The beer being noticeable good when he was there. However, since he and a couple of other staff left together the bar has been left with young staff who seem to lack experience and customer service skills. When I brought back a questionable pint it was just uncomfortable confrontation rather than dealing with the issue that the pub had caused me. It was a chore to bring back that pint as I've often been kept waiting to get served by a couple of those staff so I coped with it longer than I should have. I left them the beer and walk away. Although in hindsight that was a mistake, they might be topping that up and reserving it to someone else. I've seen that happen in other pubs before so you never now. Hopefully they can get back on track and remember how important a role the local pub plays in community.

It's rapidly going down hill. The removal of the auto academy has had a ruinous affect on the presentation and taste of the draft beer.

Can't comment on food as didn't eat, Prooper pub, good beers & different areas to either watch the sporting events or have a quiet pint

I was on a first date and was very nervous. I went to the toilet to ‘vape’, I don’t even smoke! Next thing I know, they refused to serve my date. First time I’d ever met him and they told him I was doing coke in the toilet and told him that I was drunk!! when, in fact, I was so nervous on the first date that I simply was vaping. My bad! So, apparently, they have the right to destroy someone’s life and talk to a potential partner/stranger and refused to serve us because some young stupid person told my potential future boyfriend that I was doing drugs?? Will probably never see him again as she SPECIFICALLY SAID to him that I can’t serve you as your girlfriend is drunk (after two glasses of wine) and she’s doing coke in the toilet! (Whilst sucking a vape)?wow! Guilty as charged your honour but PLEASE may I see the EVIDENCE?? WTAF? It’s like some strange reality. I really liked that guy and this stupid little Miss Marple destroyed my life in one fell swoop. I hope she gets to 50+ and is lonely and just hoping to meet someone. He probably now thinks that I’m worthless and not worth it. What a horrible, disgusting lass.

Charming traditional pub! We popped in for a casual Sunday pint and were greeted by the friendliest staff, who treated us like cherished guests from the moment we arrived. Despite the laid-back vibe of the evening, as expected from a Sunday evening, the staff managed to infuse the place with warmth and cheer, ensuring that every moment was filled with laughter and good times. Their genuine interest in our experience made us feel truly valued, like part of the pub family. And when it came to choosing a drink, they were like trusted advisors, patiently offering us samples to help us discover new favorites. It was a heartwarming experience, very much recommend.

This whole place is off in it's own universe. A universe of exquisite pints and uproarious atmosphere. A pub may come when the courage of pintsmen fails, when we forsake our friends and break all bonds of fellowship, but it is not this pub. An hour of Weatherspoons and shattered glasses when the Age of "having a good time with the boys" comes crashing down, but it is not this pub. In this pub we thrive. By all that you hold dear on this good earth, I bid you stand, and come to the regent! Parking sufficient and friendly bar staff.

I like to pop in for the occasional drink, especially to try out the new guest ales and craft ales. I was happy to see barman Tony return from his leave, he always puts a smile on my face and can talk me into one for the road!

Great little pub! I really enjoyed the atmosphere here! We visited here on Wednesday night, it was fairly crowded. There were so many dogs as well, they were so cute. I had Madri beer and it was amazing. There are so many tables and seats inside. Seems like outside tables available too. I will come back for sure :)

Really nice to see pubs like this still exist, lovely friendly staff. Tony in particular was fun and attentive offering table service and having a good laugh with all the customers. Good well kept ales. Nice selection too. Unfortunately no food was available as the kitchen has been closed a while but was told about all the local takeaways and Could get food delivered witch was nice They still keep it all clean its just a little tierd and could use a little lick of paint but all in all well worth the visit

It is a very lovely place, I was really greatful for the service, and Bethany made us be really comfortable, and have a really nice time there.

Fantastic pub, one of the few places that have remained and stood its time around chapellerton. Its a local pub with great atmosphere, very friendly, chilled vibe. A Community atmosphere, all lovely staff, Rob the manager and especially Tony, always the voice of reason when you have had too many!.Definitely worth a visit in my opinion.

Visited the Regent to get rid of January blues, and the barman Tony was a ray of sunshine in the gloomy month.

The Regent is a heart of the community pub with a great range of cask ales, craft beers & draught products. It also has an extensive range of gins & tonics to suit anyone. It it a friendly warm welcoming pub that has a feel of "cheers" about it. Whether your a local or not the team are so friendly & welcoming & the best bar team in north leeds in my opinion. They have a great patio beer garden & car park to the rear. It is popular for sports & has tvs inside & outside. The kitchen closed due to being no viable but the team let you bring in local take aways if you are drinking which also helps other local businesses in the area which is great. Definitely a Gem of a pub & unfortunately not many places like this left with character & a fun atmosphere!!

Going solo to a pub/bar can be difficult but I sat in the Regent doing some revision and it’s such a great environment, so cosy and comfortable and will definitely be coming back, all the staff were accommodating and had amazing customer service from Bethany!...

Called in the other day for 1. Stayed for a few. The bar manager Rob was absolutely class as were the staff. Will definitely be back. Great to see Cask ales kept well.

Traditional old pub just off the main street in Chapel Allerton. Serves keg beer but limited on more modern drinks ie. WDK, Unicorn gin etc. Sign saying "CAMRA members get 10% off keg beer"
