A group of us visited during the day for coffee and again in the evening for dinner. All our needs were catered for and the most difficult thing was deciding what to order as everything sounded delicious. The food did not disappoint; it was good quality and freshly prepared. The staff were friendly and attentive at all times without being intrusive. Excellent place to eat and would highly recommend.

Booked a table for 4 for 7:30, we arrived on time, were shown to our table swiftly and had good attention from the wait person. However, on booking the website said the table needed to be vacated by 9 [which is actually when they say they close mid-week]. It was 8:30 by the time our food arrived, which if we had had to leave at 9 was a joke. Maybe this was to give you time to buy the expensive drinks. I thought the soft drinks were highly priced. I had to ask twice for mayonnaise with the chips. As another reviewer has noted, it probably is a venue for the younger generation, we were next to a table who were so loud it was difficult to hear each other speak. The burgers were not as filling as I had expected for hand made [I had the Ho Chi Munch [which I thought for a veggie option was overpriced as beetroot is not as expensive as beef] , others had the Boss, the Old Skool & the LTO. I doubt if we'll go again.

I went with two of my friends for a catch-up and experienced great food, friendly atmosphere and attentive (but not intrusive) service. Made for a wonderful evening out, with proper Yorkshire-sized portions of tapas.

Small but well organised cafe. Great choice of breakfast, both veggie and meat full. Dog friendly. Lovely friendly staff. Super service. A super experience! Thank you!

Great views,good service staff very pleasant. The food was mediocre and expensive for what it was. The fish finger sandwich I had simply consisted of 3 birds eye type fish fingers in a long baguette should have been at least 4 and I was expecting something better than a standard fishfinger

First review, felt I needed to as I've been here now a few times and never considered writing a review before but after reading some of the past reviews I felt it only fair to do so, new owners or not. Amazing views, lovely place with stylish decor. Food is excellent and staff are friendly and helpful, yes there are some young people working alongside more senior staff and thanks to places like this who can still employ them. Remember we all started somewhere! These places are few and far between now which is a sad sign of the times and we should support them before they all go!! Thank you to all involved at the Fox House.

Such a quirky and quaint cafe/restaurant, the staff are so friendly and go over and above. Beatties breakfast is spot on and the pork pie in pea and ham soup is something else 😋 🤩 I would 100% recommend dining here, you won’t be disappointed if you enjoy wholesome freshly cooked food. The brownies from the deli are also delicious and out of this world 🤩 Well done Beatties 👏🏼

The food is excellent and the staff can't do enough for you. Highly recommended. We have been on several occasions and it is always such a welcoming place.

Fantastic new addition to the food scene in Holmfirth. Great atmosphere, good choice of drinks and food and fantastic service. Barnsley chop, Ribs and Lamb rumps were to die for. Excellent midweek trip. Our first visit but will not be the last.

This is a friendly local pub and the drinks were very good value, double G&T £4.50! However the food was not great quality although there was a lot of it. We had the "tapas" but couldn't eat them all, definitely northern portions.
