The food is excellent and the staff can't do enough for you. Highly recommended. We have been on several occasions and it is always such a welcoming place.

Popped in for quick drinks and cake after a visit to the opticians next door. Felt very safe and well spaced, friendly staff and drinks nicely presented. Children enjoyed the ice cream tubs and we were made to feel very welcome.

I like Scufflers cakes which I usually take home with me but for a nice light, quick lunch try their daily specials, I had the Bacon, Philly, Tomato, Avocado on a Ciabatta with a side salad, a nice pot of tea as well.

Looking for some lunch at a very busy weekend due to the folk festival we found this ‘ coffee shop ‘ only to find it served excellent food as well. Jacket potatoes were huge , white and fluffy with generous toppings. Staff were very friendly and directed us to the places we wanted to see in the village .

After walking on the moors near Holmbridge we wanted a quick bite to eat and we remembered this cafe in Holmfirth, We hoped it would still be there as we were a little short of time. We both chose the brie, bacon and chilli jam panini, and unlike most cafes were asked if we wanted our drinks at the same time as our food, so they wouldn't go cold. Most cafes bring the drinks first so that we have to order another when the food comes! Our paninis were delicious, accompanied with salad. We had a slice of bakewell loaf. The prices of all the cakes were extremely reasonable, and the slices were big enough to share, and I could not really have managed a full one after the delicious panini. We will definitely call in again when in the area.,

When we first moved to the area 15 years ago, Scufflers had just opened and was a frequent coffee stop in Holmfirth. We went recently and were massively disappointed. The "house blend" coffee still was good, but the food really poor. A bacon sandwich was in essence just 2 pieces of bacon in between 2 stale slices of mass produced white sliced loaf.....if this was an exam it would read "Must do better" - when faced with other cafes in Holmfirth serving 'artisan' or 'home made' bread, then Scufflers are going to have to do alot better. The cakes were not much better, and were not at all fresh. Very disappointed, and in summary Scufflers has gone well down-hill since we last went. We won't go back in a hurry, especially as there are many better places to go in the town

Stopping off at Holmfirth on our way down to Derbyshire, from Yorkshire we came across this delightful cafe near the car park as we entered the town. What a find. It was very clean, welcoming and the tea and coffee was delicious - not to mention the chocolate cookie - yum!

All I wanted was a coffee - didn't feel welcome. There was a sign asking people to pay at the counter so I ordered, paid and waited - the lady said she would bring it over to me but I was sat virtually at the counted and had no room. Rather a obstacle course just getting to a seat. I didn't find the staff very friendly and it seemed a stuggle to raise a smile. I won't return

Nice choice of hot drinks, although it was a hot day and we decided to have fresh orange juice. My daughter and me are both vegan and were happy to find a vegan choice on the menu. We both enjoyed our food and the atmosphere was nice. We will visit again the next time we are in Holmfirth.

Stopped here before and after a hike. The morning deal of coffee and bacon sandwich was good value (£4), decent coffee and tasty bacon. Staff very friendly, service efficient, loos clean. Selection of newspapers and current magazines for customers to read. Cakes looked homemade, and sandwich menu was varied. Soup and jacket potatoes available too. Seemed well used by local shoppers, nice friendly atmosphere.

This is a review in two parts. I love this place. I had a BLT Scuffler with a side salad, a coffee and a piece of flapjack, all of which were delicious and so would get five stars. (A Scuffler is a form of breadcake.) On the other hand, my wife had the July Special, which was a chicken tzatziki wrap. However, the chicken was a limp slice of processed chicken, which was far from delicious and so only warrants three stars. Overall then, although the service was up to its usual high standard, sadly the food wasn't, hence the four star review.

They offer a wide variety of hot and cold sandwiches as well as jacket potatoes and homemade soup with prices ranging from £4 to £6. We both picked from the panini selection - my choice of bacon, brie and chilli jam tasted delicious and came with a generous helping of fresh salad. The service was excellent and we felt well looked after, I'm looking forward to coming back soon!

It was only a very short trip, enough to refresh ourselves, ( 2 couples ), after travelling from Lancs and .Cheshire. Just a quick coffee and cake before going to the Holmfirth Art Show. The coffee and and cake were as good as you will get anywhere and the service very friendly and efficient. After finishing our refreshments we were ready to move on , when a very pleasant lady sitting on the next table said " You won't believe this , but I am Barbara" Barbara is my cousin , with whom I'd lost contact some 56 years ago !! I have been trying to find Barbara's whereabouts for the last 10 years - and here she was sitting almost beside me in Scufflers. It will always be very fondly remembered and worthy of a special trip on Thanksgivings Day ?

Bit pricey but im willing to pay that bit more for good customer service and quality. I visited with my 4month old baby, husband and grandma on this occasion. The cafe was quite busy with it being a weekend. The manager made sure we got moved to a more suitable table when it became free. Nothing was too much trouble it was very refreshing.

We had just changed our GP and had a wait for our first appointment. We thought we'd get a coffee and were racking our brains where we could get one then remembered we'd seen the Scufflers Cafe on the way to our first major shopping spree at the Holmfirth Cafe. Now this cafe isn't the biggest I've seen but the staff were pleasant, there were papers to read, it was clean and there was lots of lovely cakes on display. I had a lemon and ginger cake and a latte. All I can say is that it was the best ever lemon and ginger cake that I have ever tasted and I will get around to trying the others when I'm early for my next appointment which I will arrange as soon as possible.

This great little family run cafe is off the beaten track in this popular tourist town but if you park in the short stay car park near the Co-Op you will see it. Good food and drinks in a friendly atmosphere which seems to be popular with the locals. The cafe is clean and bright and offers a good selection of drinks, cakes and lunch snacks. We had a cappuccino and a hot chocolate which had plenty of cream and marshmallows and came to the table hot rather than luke warm which we have experienced in other establishments. Our panninis were very tasty and came with an adequate side salad and were good value for money. Dont miss this one if you go to Holmfirth.

This was our 4th outing to this superb restaurant for Sunday lunch. Our friends were as impressed as we were once again. The entire experience was indeed just wonderful and we will be back again very soon. Thank you everyone. You’re true professionals.

Booked a table for 4 for 7:30, we arrived on time, were shown to our table swiftly and had good attention from the wait person. However, on booking the website said the table needed to be vacated by 9 [which is actually when they say they close mid-week]. It was 8:30 by the time our food arrived, which if we had had to leave at 9 was a joke. Maybe this was to give you time to buy the expensive drinks. I thought the soft drinks were highly priced. I had to ask twice for mayonnaise with the chips. As another reviewer has noted, it probably is a venue for the younger generation, we were next to a table who were so loud it was difficult to hear each other speak. The burgers were not as filling as I had expected for hand made [I had the Ho Chi Munch [which I thought for a veggie option was overpriced as beetroot is not as expensive as beef] , others had the Boss, the Old Skool & the LTO. I doubt if we'll go again.
