Gutted. Have heard so much about this place and the infamous KF Ceaser. To be fair. Had sausage roll also which was good. The chicken for the Ceaser was ‘wet’ and very soft/mushy, in texture and quite bland. The bread just didn’t seem too fresh. Was just cold baguette / sub. I was looking forward so much. One bite and sadly threw away.

Great cafe. Lovely food. Very good coffee. Nice staff. Dogs welcome. You can sit inside or out. Well worth a visit - you don’t have to be a cyclist!

Without a doubt the best ice cream in Harrogate! We regularly visit Vanilli’s for a treat after visiting Valley Gardens. The owner is so friendly and there is always a new flavour to try. The pumpkin spice a current favourite. Cannot recommend highly enough!

I had heard for years about the famous Bettys in Harrogate, and being in the area took my wife for afternoon tea. As we had booked we ate in the Imperial room, which was quite pleasant but not as grand as I’d envisaged. Tea was excellent as expected and the food quite good. I do feel however that it’s overpriced. Staff did ask if we wanted more sandwiches or tea, but at the price they charge not unexpected. Best part of the experience was the staff, they really can’t do enough to help and are warm and welcoming.

We had a voucher from Travelzoo and so on Thursday we girded our loins and took the risk. the staff were very sensible and seated everyone as far apart as possible and kept their contact to a minimum. The food was great and very well displayed. The haddock smokie with egg was delicious. My steak was cooked to perfection. The Harrogate sticky toffee pudding was sweet but not sickly A very enjoyable evening. Let's hope the virus doesn't spoil this resurant.

Recently stayed for 3 nights whilst at a conference. All of the staff were incredibly welcoming and chatty, room (no.4) was clean, comfortable, spacious and homely. The Full Yorkshire Breakfast was the absolute star of the show, best I've had in years, and the location spot on for the town centre shops and bars and conference centre. Highly recommend staying here

What a delightful visit we had here. Delightful little place, got a real traditional feel to it and plenty of choice in the way of lunches and cakes. I had mushrooms on toast, a simple yet substantial dish, while my boyfriend enjoyed his sandwich. The service was fantastic, all really friendly! My only negative experience was using the toilets, where you've got to go across the little way to an antiques shop. This isn't a problem in itself and I happily relieved myself. However, the staff in there were shouting and swearing. Even when he saw me walk past he said, "Listen (female dog)" really loudly. Not aimed at me I don't think but felt a bit uncomfortable. This ot course is no fault of Jennys but perhaps the staff at the antiques shop could be a bit more considerate.

My brother lives just round the corner from here and is a regular so we popped in for lunch while I was visiting this weekend. Manna is a little jewel, with super friendly staff welcoming you the moment you set foot in the door and a range of breads, cakes and pastries all on display. This isn't a "shipped-in" bakery - everything looked fresh and handmade with a great range of knowledge about the food from the staff. The vegan halloumi sandwich is phenomenal - squeaky, authentic tasting vegan halloumi and a chilli jam that is exactly the right level of heat to set the whole thing off. I also ordered fries and these were crispy, hot and perfectly salted - absolutely delicious. The meat eaters also had a great time digging in - my brother had a roast beef muffin which was overflowing with fillings and a bowl of crispy, perfect hash browns; but from my perspective it's really hard to find vegan sandwiches that aren't falafel or hummus so this was a real treat. Perfect little lunch spot, I'll definitely be back next time I visit. Be warned if you're planning on dining in, there are only a few seats, but judging by the locals queuing for takeaway it's just as good enjoyed at home. Thank you Manna - we'll be back!

Unwelcoming, kurt! Nice place, would benefit from more friendly staff & actually acknowledge customers on entry. Staff far too busy on their phones & then selves…. Would we go back? No, not really, much more welcoming places around & plenty o& them & all offering the same pastries & drinks ….
