The best restaurants serving British food in Yorkshire and The Humber

Food was decent. Not too bad price wise. Fish was a good size for the special. Some unique clientele in the shop during my visit (to be polite). Staff were nice. Also the place takes card.

We had a large delivery of almost 30 portions and food was hot, tasty and on time. Would highly recommend this place to anyone in the area!

We had a sandwich each. Very nice, lots of killing, salad, and crisps. Good value. The tea was good as well. Dog friendly.

Un gran pequeño café era bolsas de historia. Gran té, gran café y nunca tuvo algo malo en el menú. El personal es siempre acogedor y muy eficiente, incluso en un servicio ocupado. Admite perros con un ambiente agradable. Podría ayudar a resolver la condensación pero una pequeña queja.

NO vayas aquí a cenar asado. Que (Terrible) Salón de Té era una broma absoluta. Olvídese de una espera de 15 minutos para el agua del grifo, o incluso la espera de 40 minutos para la "comida" - No anuncie Sunday Roast si no lo es. Carne fría y viscosa servida con un pudín de yorkshire seco, 2 papas asadas y una "selección" de verduras al vapor y puré de papas grasoso. Salimos antes de intentar consumir lo que nos habían dado. TAN pobre. No hay problema con los servidores, no es su culpa - pero por Dios parecían muy fuera de su profundidad. Cíñete a pasteles y bocadillos.

We popped in for a cooked breakfast, was nice. Pleasant, but very busy staff. Great value for money. Would recommend.

I had my baby shower at Ivy house, the afternoon was perfect from start to finish! The staff were so helpful and accommodating and went above and beyond for me and my party. There were 22 of us and we all had 3 courses and were so impressed with the standard and portion sizes of food. I would highly recommend the Ivy House to anyone wanting to have a baby shower/ small function. Again, a massive thank you to the staff for making the day so perfect!

I have taken my elderly mother here, a few times now. Every time the service and food is excellent, you can tell it is all homemade with quality ingredients. A real find with real people who cook and serve you. Keep up the good work.

I'm desperate to be balanced and constructive here as we did enjoy our food and visit and would return. Overall the food was excellent quality, well executed, tasty and varied, although several dishes we wanted weren't available on the night. Unfortunately for Omni, Malton meets Mayfair and several dishes are overpriced and a good few were undersized. 4 slithers of fillet steak were more like 150g than 230g for example. 10 sprouts in a tapas bowl with some gorgeous bang bang sauce looked lost and forlorn and at £6, we felt cheated, we wanted more and compelled to double up on the order. Same with the cauliflower fritters, baby potatoes and padron peppers. The Beef Dripping fries are nothing special and the portion size is very parsimonious for the money. To draw comparison, all members of our party of 5 have enjoyed tapas in Spain and in similar tapas establishments in London. We commented on some portion sizes. If they manage to balance this price and portion size scenario, we are sure Omni will thrive with more repeat business. If they continue as is, many will be put off by the price and it's future could be in jeopardy, which would be a real shame. The service we received was excellent, the ambience is OK and the drinks and wine range was superb and sensibly priced. Nobody expects big Yorkshire portions with Yorkshire Tapas, but similarly nobody should be paying £30 per head and feeling barely fed. Next time we go, we will definitely eat a bigger meal at lunchtime beforehand.

Estábamos haciendo una bienvenida visita de regreso a este encantador restaurante. Personal amable y servicial, locales encantadores y comida absolutamente deliciosa. Lo recomendaría encarecidamente. El menú estaba bien pensado, muy bien cocinado y bien presentado. El restaurante había sacado todas las paradas para San Valentín con rosas, pétalos de rosas e incluso música apropiada! No es una queja, pero algo a tener en cuenta - reservamos media hora antes esta vez (7 pm) como la música comienza en el escenario (directamente debajo del comedor) en el bar de abajo a las 9 pm y el sonido se mezcla un poco con la música del restaurante - no es suficiente para estropear las cosas, pero nos invitaron a tener nuestro café servido en el bar del restaurante en el mismo nivel y no escuchó la música de abajo en absoluto 👍 Sin duda volveremos!

Good service and variety of beers

Stumbled across the hall while completing the York Cat Hunt. Highly recommend popping in 1) to see the hall 2) to have a lovely cuppa and a sit down.

Great independent coffee shop with really great coffee.can't comment on the food as I didn't have any. Not the cheapest but the quality makes it worthwhile.
