Don’t order the beef burger or the treacle tart. The duck was good. The baileys mousse is like angel delight if you like that kind of thing. The bread starter was good. The squid is too salty and not a lot of it. The service is amateur. There is a good view of the opposing hillside. The restaurant was warm.

Went here Good Friday for food (or ‘hoping for food’ ) Placed order through the app , received a message & email to say order successful, only a 15 min wait for food, MONEY TAKEN from my bank account . All good we thought . 5 mins later a staff member comes across to say they’ve stopped serving food early 9mins before we ordered. A refund will be issued . 6 days later, no refund received! Being passed between head office and the pub itself . Why does the app take orders if food not being served ??

Menu is a bit limited but the food was ok, requested hit sauce if some kind and they only do ketchup or mayo which was a bit annoying if you prefer something with an extra kick. They don't do anything on the menu that has any sort of spice just very basic flavours but all in all great service and atmosphere

Called today for dinner. Fish was thin and not fresh. It was served with skin on. Chips went really hard. There was probsbly a spoonful of peas. The bread was not fresh. The whole meal was tasteless. Someone needs to read this and pick up. Improve. The price is cheap. But id rather pay double and have a quality meal. The girls worked their socks off. Its a shame the fryer lets the place down. We wont be returning.

What as shame the chips are cooked in rancid fat. I called this evening for a snack thinking the fat might have been changed since my last disappointing visit but no just an awfull lot worse never ate the chips slung them in the bin . Wont be calling again.

Llamamos el viernes para el desayuno como lo hemos hecho en el pasado y siempre fue bueno. Mi desayuno inglés no era genial. Las salchichas han sido reemplazadas por una empanada que no es muy agradable y mis huevos fritos estaban demasiado cocidos y duros. Así que no nos molestaremos en volver a desayunar.

Had the most filling and delicious gluten free full English. I’d mention at booking that I was a coeliac and they got me gluten free sausages in specially which were really tasty. Outstanding Dudley

First off, I have to say that the young blonde lady who served us did an outstanding job in every respect. My big disappointment was the temperature of the food on my plate, it was barely warm and the poached egg was solid. There were a total of five poached eggs amongst the four of us, and all five were solid. I think the cafe has to look at how long it takes for a plate of food to travel 20 yards from the kitchen to the table. Why didn't I complain? It was a birthday celebration and I didn't want the embarrassment. I just shouldn't have to explain the concept of a runny yoke in a poached egg. :-) We just 'got on with it'. All the drinks were great, some excellent coffee served.

In the last couple of weeks I’ve done afternoon tea and lunch …both absolutely lovely…today we had the fish sharing board prawns scampi fish salmon served beautifully the service was great ….and the atmosphere is busy but organised …
