Very friendly and food was extremely tasty. Upstairs seating has comfy chairs in a cosy atmosphere. Visited twice in 4 days and will definitely return when in the area. Hot chocolate was great!

I find it annoying that people complain about the froth on a coffee, the cheese on toast etc as if they are some world famous food critic. Try running a small business, particularly one that involves catering!! Your comments, worthless though they are can have a profound impact so let's do a real review. Here's what I think. Coffee Cali is a clean, hospitable coffee shop in a great location. I can't comment on the food because we only had coffee but it was a very welcome perfectly acceptable coffee at a reasonable price. It was served quickly with a smile and some pleasantries. Sat outside on the courtyard was a delight. OK, even though it may be wet now, the sun was shinning, the company was relaxed and congenial with different people from locals, tourists, cyclists and hikers all enjoying themselves and chatting amicably. What I really appreciated was for those who were with dogs, staff appeared with bowls of water. We had no time to go inside other than to use rest rooms which were well above the average. Our stop was great, especially after having spent over an hour crossing " 't top ot world ova 't Pennines" for a little piece of classic old world Yorkshire. Add to that the stress of finding a parking space in one of the many but small and well hidden car parks. Thank you Coffee Cali. I didn't take any pictures other than one of the road. Burnt and overly bitter coffee served in a glass with no handles so had to wait for it to go cold before I could drink it. Avoid.

Friendly staff, lovely coffee and tasty breakfast rolls and toasties. Seating indoors and outdoors. Smart premises with a relaxed feel.

Food is really awful, do not order their toasties. Cheapest sliced bread with tons of raw onion and almost no cheese. Basically slammed down on the table with barely a word. And the coffee is dreadful. Only stays busy becausd of its great location. So many nicer places to eat in Hebden.

It was nice sitting outside on a lovely sunny day. The lady serving was friendly and helpful. However, the coffee does let it down. I ordered a cappuccino, which was quite poor.

We have been going there for a long time,and it was good but the last time we went the latte we got was awful,it looked like a latte but it tasted awful not milky and nice but looked like dish water.Will not be going again.

Unfortunately this was one of worst coffees I’ve ever had. Ordered a macchiato which tasted unbelievably bitter, way too much milk and it the price was extortionate. I had to grit my teeth to get through it. If you’re remotely into your coffee, would recommend Excited Goat instead.

Welcome break for refreshments in Hebden Bridge. Central cafe with seating downstairs and upstairs as well as outside, and they offered table service after ordering at the counter. Price was reasonable for the area and the cakes were tasty. Coffee and hot chocolate were very nice and served at just the right temperature below boiling.

I’m not so sure why you would put coffee in the title of your shop name when the coffee is so poor. I think if you were to signal the pure purpose of your shop is for coffee then you would have Cortados, Long blacks on the menu. Real coffee fans stay away!

Come for the cakes and the riverside view but avoid the coffee at all costs. I saw them giving another person this dish water mountain so it's definitely not a one off. It tasted like milk with a faint hint of coffee. I have no idea how they did it. How do you froth milk so much that it goes that wrong?

I would not recommend! The customer service is non existent with them bringing wrong orders over. Then when our food actually arrived, the salad had fungus on it! When we brought it to their attention they said ‘Oh, thank you for letting us know’… they didn’t apologise nor they offered a replacement!

Perfect for a cycling stop, with places to lock your bike up and outdoor or indoor seating.

Had a wonderful experience here yesterday the coffee is absolutely wonderful. 4 stars because it would be nice to have some vegan cakes etc.

There are a few coffee shops in town and we chose this one based on previous reviews. Managed to get a nice table downstairs by the window. Good selection of drinks/food/cakes. I got a latte which was very nice. My wife doesn't drink coffee and asked if she could just get a steamed milk with syrup in. The girl serving didn't even pause and just said 'of course' which was greatly appreciated. We also got a Bakewell slice which was good, and also a piece of the salted caramel coffee cake, which was really good. Big piece and really fresh tasting cake with good flavour. They have a few more tables upstairs as well as a toilet. Would definitely recommend this place.

food is absolutely amazing but staff are rude and dismissive. Most staff are of young age but they are disrespectful and moody. Get new staff or train them to be sociable.

It took ages to acknowledge us that we were there and she didn't make the coffees until I paid but what annoyed me was that she was holding on to the machine like I was going to steal it.

Arrived in Hebden Bridge after 4 on a Monday and found Coffee Cali still open ...so many close early ! Warm welcoming cafe with delicious coffee and cake

We have been to Cafe Cali on a number of occasions and been very happy. We visited yesterday, Monday 4 September, ordered our drinks and food. However we noticed that the person who was preparing the food had long hair that they had over their shoulders, including hair at the front that was not tied back. We found this very off-putting, to the point that when our food was given to us we examined it carefully to make sure there was no hair on it. The cafe has a 5 star hygiene rating which could be put at risk by allowing a staff member not to have their tied back more carefully running the risk of hair being on meals.

My wife, daughter and I stopped here for a morning coffee and cake before a walk at Hardcastle Crags. The staff were friendly and our order was provided very quickly. The coffee and cake were lovely. The cafe was clean and inviting and we would certainly return to use Coffee Cali again. Thank you

Cafe Cali has a lovely ambiance, both outside in a nice recess area with umbrellas and the two levels indoors.The drinks and confectionery are made and served with care and they are really nice.Staff are friendly and toilet facilities are very clean.

Very cosy little place with good food, a nice atmosphere and friendly staff. It was a little busy when we turned up, but the queue moved quickly and we were able to get a table upstairs.

Excellent coffee house situated in town centre

Coffee and hot chocolate was lovely. Made to perfection by the blonde lady. Such a nice little coffee shop with a great atmosphere. They were great with dealing with allergies and I could see they kept the different milk types completely separate. Staff were all very friendly.

As a coffee shop it just can’t deliver on its main attraction, awfully extracted, girl on the machine over steaming the milk every time, asked for oat milk which she used but then put in a jug she had used cows milk in…. Just clearly didn’t know what she was doing… coffee was terrible

I had the most charming encounter with a couple sat outside drinking coffee.Chap was from I.o.Wight and the gal from N.Ireland ..suppose geographically we were roughly in the middle somwhere.

We called in yesterday but our order was totally wrong :(( I ordered 3 coffees, 2 bacon cobs and a fruit scone I got 3 coffees, 2 cokes and 1 scone!

Found the person who served me quite rude,ie snatched the £5 note I was paying with off me after saying they don't do small coffees just regular or large!!

Great coffee, great service! We’re only sorry we didn’t stay for a bite to eat. We had a dirty chai latte with oat milk to take out and it was sublime, if a little tepid. Will ask for “extra hot” next time, especially when it was so cold out! Would recommend to a friend and will visit again.

Miserable staff - remember Kevin and Perry, a bit like that. Coffee is okay but the atmosphere is rubbish, pokey and crowded. Been here a couple of times and the attitude of staff, no smiles and very lacklustre, get a chavy vibe.

Cali's is in a fantastic location, right in the beautiful centre of Hebden Bridge. Externally, the cafe looks very appealing. We didn't eat there - and so couldn't comment on the food, however found the coffee to be a little below average and quite bitter to the taste. The lack of cleanliness was more concerning however, with the coffee being served on dirty plates with dirty spoons. The interior wasn't the cleanest either, with the carpets dirty and threadbare. Overall then it was ok, but I would look elsewhere in future.

Sweet little spot. Was on a bike ride and this provided a welcome stop. Grand beans on toast and coffee

Ordered a ham sandwich, it look good till I took a bite, there was no choice of bread, so it was very very cheap white bread that sticks to the roof of your mouth. We only chose it because theyvdidca decent coffee. But I will never eat there again, hence the one star

I live within a short walk of Coffee Cali and am usually a regular visitor, but hadn’t been there for over a year because of the endless lockdowns. I went for lunch with a friend on 2 June 2021. The staff that we encountered that day were Luke and Nicole. Luke always has the most impeccable customer service skills but it was the first time I had met Nicole. She was very friendly, asked us if we were happy with the window open (it was a beautiful day), checked if everything was okay with our lunch (which was delicious, as always!) and generally had a very friendly demeanour.I can’t recommend this café highly enough. They serve the best coffee in Hebden Bridge, have the best location (next to the iconic Pack Horse Bridge), and have plenty of outside seating.

Bobbed back to Heben bridge , an old haunt of years back..Coffee cali was our first hit, lovely spot really pleasant staff members , cakes to die die for not today for me.Clean , well presented food simple and speedily brought to table..Make it a stop on your visit..

My partner and I have recently started going to coffee Cali quite regularly. We love the outside seats and environment! I always order a vanilla iced latte with cream and it is DEVINE, with a large slice of layered lemon drizzle cake. Staff are lovely and attentive. Coffee and food is fab. Environment is brilliant!Will continue to come here often to do work and to just chill out.

We had macchiatos and a salted caramel brownie and managed to get a table as it was quite busy. I was impressed with the size of my double macchiato (large for a macchiato) and equally impressed with the taste - strong and smooth. Good moist brownie too. Would go again.

Their coffee is fine, tastes OK, better than some other coffee places in Hebden Bridge. But the staff are so unpleasant: unsmiling, no greeting as you approach the counter, too much attitude. I don't know what's going on there. They need to go to courtesy school!

We went on a Saturday lunchtime. I asked for beans on toast and was told breakfast was finished. However they serve beans in the jacket potatoes and toast so it wouldn’t have been any trouble to accommodate the request. The service was slow (we only got two coffees in the end). Expensive and mediocre at best.

Called in for a quick lunch and coffee. Seating area ample space, there’s also extra seating upstairs, food edible, coffee very nice and in large mugs, atmosphere cosy. The one and only toilet is upstairs which are steep and poorly lit. The toilet area, sink, skirting boards, toilet, needs a really good clean, I know you are a busy little cafe but come on guys, clean the loo!

We tried Coffee Cali for the first time, our usual Hebden Bridge coffee stop being closed on a Monday. We were pleasantly surprised. 3 sizes of latte - nearly all the independent coffee places we visit have a "one size fits all" approach. The lattes came quickly and were great tasting. The muffin we shared was delicious. We definitely will return!

I was shopping in town and on my way home decided to stop off for a drink and snack. The cafés drinks are usually fine.I ordered a mozzarella, tomato, peto, basil chiabata. What a let down, overpriced and tasteless with almost no filling. A tiny chiabata (produced from a plastic wrapper) Mozzarella like processed plastic and sliced so thin (1/2 mm), it disappeared into the bread when heated, a smear of pesto, a tiny limp leaf of basil and 2 slithers of tomato. Worst of all the chiabata was nothing like any chiabata I've tasted with a strange limp fluffy texture. The worst kind of processed bread and seemed to have been microwaved, (though I was assured it hadn't) There was nothing toasted or grilled or chiabata like about it.I did complain and the server put a couple more slices on one half. It made little difference as it had no taste or substance, it was sliced so thin it was transparent.The kitchen anf management need to educate themselves as to what a chiabata is, how to cook it and what mozeralla cheese looks and tastes like, and then find out how to fill it and how to cook it. This doesnt pass as food and is exorbitantly price at £4.99, as was my small cup of Mocha at £2.75, but at least that had flavour.There are plenty of other places to eat in Hebden Bridge. If it's just a drink or maybe a cake it's OK but otherwise I'd skip it. Never again

Popped in here for a quick hot drink. £2.50 for a drink of peppermint tea, really? Your decision to serve Tea Pigs tea which is expensive but £2.50 is just taking the mickey. Daylight robbery. Won't return

Always come to this cafe for a drink when we visit Hebden Bridge. When we went to the counter to order we were greeted with a friendly hello and the girl who took our order was very friendly and pleasant.We had 2 coffees and a got chocolate which were brought to our table and all were very well made.

Called in for coffee and sat outside in the sun under the trees, a beautiful setting.we ordered coffees,sausages sandwich and scrambled eggs on bagel.The bread was lovely but the sausages only average,the eggs and bagels were lovely,really fresh and hot and served quickly.On this occasion both coffees were not good, they were too hot, which burnt the coffee resulting in a very poor coffee taste.

Ordered avocado toast and the avocado came in very overripe, practically grey. Sent it back to the kitchen. The poached eggs were overdone. The coffee was not very good. Not sure what beans they use, but tasted like 1996. Staff don’t seem very friendly and clearly hate their jobs. Decent I suppose if you are a keen cyclist and just want to fuel up, but if you’re not then there are better cafes in Hebden.

We had been exploring the town doing lots of shopping so needed a rest. We just had a rest and some drinks. Fab. Did the job , feeling refreshed we continued on.

Bike ride coffee stop in the walking part of the town centre. By the bridge and river this is a lovely stopover for fresh coffee and cakes etc. Nice lunchtime menu too. Busy mid-morning in the sunshine - good service.

As a coach driver I have been in one or two coffee shops I always ask questions as it gives me a Gide to the staff if that are friendly or outgoing unfortunately this was not the case for me but the coffee was o.k so if you want a coffee But no conversation this is for you !!! Lack of atmosphere.

I had not been to Hebden Bridge for nearly 30 years when I was a member of a rambling group so I was quite surprised, in a very pleasant way, that there was a variety of coffee shops around the town now which catered for more than just the walkers or cyclists. We sat outside as it was a lovely sunny day. The coffee was excellent.

I am a cyclist and this is my go to cafe, when I cycle into hebden bridge before going up Cragg Vale.

On a lovely sunny & warm Wednesday morning we enjoyed coffee whilst sat outside. It’s a nice location with the river on one side and a pedestrianised Street on the other.

It’s the flawed system of standing in line to order at the counter when you arrive to have it served at a table you haven’t yet established because it’s busy. After my failed search for a space and the unknown availability of seating upstairs, till I checked, I pointed at the seating area outside - The inexperienced barista arrived with a tray shouting every random order to locate the right customer. And the weak, quite bland coffee when it arrived was not in togo paper cups as requested = Slow service / poor coffee. Yawn.

We cycle to this cafe many times all year round. Always a warm welcome. Much needed on a cold winters day.

Stopped off for a quick coffee today to get out of the cold and found this little gem. Lovely coffee and great value for money. We didn’t eat, but the food looked lovely and was also very reasonably priced.

Cycle up to Hebden a lot from Huddersfield. Staff always welcoming and pleasant. The coffee is very good and generous sizes.Toasted tea cakes are a regular snack,not massive but good quality.

Called for a light lunch, two chicken and bacon salads a tea and a diet coke, £10!

This was our second visit as we live a little away from Hebdon Bridge when we visit we like cafe Cali ...we had a lovely toasted tea cake and it’s nice to get enough butter some cafes can be a little stingy....coffee was lovely ,cafe spotless ,staff cheerful...will always call when in Hebdon .

It’s not often I feel inclined to complain, but I’ve just been served the thinnest slice of carrot cake I’ve ever seen... hardly the thickness of sliced bread!!! I asked the waitress to confirm it was a normal sized slice and the answer was yes. Needless to say I won’t be eating cake here again!

Visited on a Sunday with the market and festival on. A great location by the river and great to sit outside on a nice day. Otherwise the coffee was decent and cake also good but could have had better options, especially when the market had better looking and cheaper items available.

Called with friend for coffee, asked for flat white, I was given latte in a glass. When I asked if this could be transferred to a cup I got a look like a £10 summons. The glass was too hot to pick up.

We visited this cafe and ordered a tea, cappuccino and two toasted tea cakes. The service was friendly and efficient. The coffee was lovely and the tea cakes were served with butter and jam. Very reasonable prices as well. Will visit again.

Visited this café following local recommendation. Not to be disappointed with food and service at this sunny location and chatting to fellow customers. Watch out for duck who calls by for lunch by the back door.

I made a wise choice popping in... recent reviews are correct. They serve great coffee and a generous portion, their regular is the size of other people's large. Will certainly call again

Coffee Cali serve the best coffee in Hebden Bridge. I regularly visit. I find the staff pleasant enough. The only downside is the toilets. They need a complete refurbishment.

Perfect place for breakfast on a sunny Sunday morning. Situated next to the bridge Outside seating. Good coffee and tea. Crumpets dripping in butter. Bacon sandwiches and bagels. Delicious. Friendly service too.

Set right in the heart of hippy Hebden Bridge and next to the river. A decent coffee shop inside and outside seating - outside is the best weather permitting. A great place to relax with a book or watch the passers by, or street entertainment.
