A lovely B&B in a great location. The owners Jane and Nigel were very accommodating, we arrived late but Jane went above and beyond to ensure we had our room key. Our room was small but clean and we had a lovely home cooked English breakfast included within the price which was great value for money. Nigel even gave us a lift to our car the next morning when we were unable to get a taxi! Highly recommended!

Went into scoffs had to take a second look. The shop had been renovated looked great. The manager very polite. The young girl that served us well her level of service was excellent 👍 and the food when we got home was piping hot. You just can’t beat the pork and stuffing fantastic

The cafe is efficiently run and we enjoyed the rooftop seating in the sun today. Unfortunately the scone was stale. Quite a shocker for me! What a shame :(

Beautiful spot overlooking the ponds, some people were swimming. Very busy although a handy drop off point for those who need it before driving to the car parks. Lots of young staff ,we were told an hours wait for food(about half an hour in the end) the tables stacked with used crockery. Could do with a bit of training. Mistake at the till, loos not to good. Food, coffee and cake OK We both the Ploughmans,Ham nice, one piece of mild cheddar, followed by an awful square of brownie.

So nice to goto a proper traditional pub, sit by a real fire and drink well kept ale. Friendly staff and a dog to talk to.

Excellent in every way we were a group of friends all with dogs it’s a very dog friendly hotel. Mazine was the duty manager that weekend he was brilliant always there and happy to go that extra mile for the group. Fabulous food, clean spacious rooms and the staff are very friendly. I would highly recommend the hotel it’s in a great position friendly great food. I can’t understand why anyone could write a bad review if you want 5 star go to the Hilton or the Savoy

Booked mid week for Sunday lunch at 1.00pm.hitel restaurant rang an hour before booking to say 'not doing Sunday lunch today, due to kitchen issues'!very disappointing. Also noticed menu has been reduced significantly since we last went, although price has increased. In desperation,we managed to book at very short notice for lunch at another hotel, which was superb. The Ansty Hall charges £10 per person for any cancellation.Perhaps they would like to pay us £10 compensation per person for cancelling.Really not worth dealing with them!

We want to thank the wonderful Jackie for her kindness on making us marvellous fresh cups of tea to go an hour before official opening of the tea rooms as we had arrived early by car from the Belfast/Liverpool ferry en route to a wedding in Cornwall and were in desperate need of a refreshing brew

That's the best breakfast in the area by a country mile. HIGHLY recommend. Staff friendly, breakfast, well plate is empty, enough said. £8.95 with a brew. Beats anything in Aycliffe by a country miles. See you again soon

The white bap for lunch was dry and tasted like it was on the shelf over the weekend, not good. Seems to be going downhill slightly, some of the new staff are either miserable or do not have a clue on how to make a sandwich.
