Had food here on 13th May 2025. Food very disappointing, my wife & daughter had the Mediterranean vegetable Tagliatelle which was inedible as extremely salty & just a mush. Mentioned to the waitress & she said she wud tell the chef! They still charged us for 1 virtually(literally 2 fork fulls tried) untouched pasta & 1 half-eaten. Very disappointed & ripped off 😒

Unfriendly service to start, a large kebab meat and chips was in a small box with barely any meat or sauce in it! RIP off price for the portion. Expected high quality for the price but it was greasy and flavourless. Fish was drowning in grease, we had it wrapped separately and the paper was sodden as well as the fish. Afraid to say it’s not the same Blue submarine as back in the day! Barely any customers in on a Friday was a sign I shouldn’t have ignored.

La elección del menú era variada y nos costó decidir qué comer. La comida era deliciosa. Sin duda volvería! Perfectamente situado en el centro junto a la casa natal de Shakespeare.

Booked a 'deluxe' room for one night £90. This is what I got. Hotel ignored all requests for a refund.

Their Sunday roast food is top tier 👌 only downside is that the price is just rocket up too high! It used to be our Sunday choice place to go, but we now think it's time to change since last time. Our bill for two was almost £70 with a juice and half pint.

Came in for lunch with my partner, initially found the atmosphere to be very pleasant. We sat outside and my partner went in to order our lunch. After nearly 40 minutes a young lady comes and drops two sandwiches in front of us and walks off before we can comment on the fact that one of the meals is wrong. No I have to issue with a small mixup, I understand these things happen. I went in to ask for the issue to be resolved and was met with attitude from the lady behind the bar. I go back to sit outside only to find that younger lady comes and put the same meal back in front of me and argues that it is the meal that I’m pointing at on the menu (which it wasn’t). After going in a second time and my partner being met with attitude and rudeness from the staff my meal finally comes out. The food was disappointing, flavourless and dry and when someone came out to ask us how our meals were they stood at the other end of the pagoda and shouted at us to ask how our meals were. There was no offer of refund for the difference in meal price between the meal I ordered and the more expensive meal we paid for. I have a background in restaurant management and find the experience overall to be disgusting, a remark largely aimed at the appalling service.

Lovely little pub. Small, but good choice of beers. Didn't eat here, but the food did smell wonderful. Dog friendly batlr. Will use again.

Fantastic carvery today. Staff clearly busy but fantastic service. Extra Yorkshire pudding on this Yorkshire girl's birthday was greatly appreciated!
