Great selection of local beer and very friendly. Food was amazing and prices are amazing!

3rd time visiting the Tap House. It's 2.5 hours from home but our go to pub/restaurant for the area. Hubby and son love the Hartlebury Brewery ales which are available to take home too. Food is always beautiful and plentiful and the service is great. Staff are friendly and helpful. Good value meals with a lovely atmosphere.

Lovely steak in an old railway ticket room, brilliantly turned into a classy gastro restaurant. I had the Mexica steak which was smothered in Chilli Con Carne and jalapenos. Beautifully cooked and tasty to eat, with onion rings and salad too. Cheers we will be back 👍😊

We are local and visited for Sunday Lunch after a day out. Lunch was excellent, ditto to the service and friendliness of the staff. Great value for money and tasty. We will be back. Remember to book as busy. 🎄🎄🎅🏻🎅🏻

Had Christmas meal. Starter (soup) was OK but not much of it. Main course not as good. Vegetables a bit soggy, stuffing bad and turkey seemed a bit greasy. My dessert of crumble however was excellent. Had coffees at end of meal and charged extra for milk! First time i have known that to happen. Service good. Overall have had better Christmas meals.

Christmas lunch for 6. Nothing to complain about. Everyone thought their meals were very nice...between us we experienced most on the menu. I had the lamb which was excellent. The place was full includinga number of locals which has to be a good sign! If you do not wish to drive there is a reasonable train service from Worcester direction or Birmingham with just a couple of minutes walk into the venue. Certainly worth booking.

Visited for Sunday lunch following a recommendation from a friend and we weren't disappointed. We both picked the roast dinners that were served piping hot and were very tasty. The staff were great too, from the lady who served us at the bar, to the waitresses who brought our meals to the table. We will definitely be coming back!

Came back here for our 3rd visit, lovely meal for 6 of us, food was nice & hot when brought to us. Service staff were very polite & friendly. The place itself is very clean & well looked after. Lots of people dining today, which is always a sign of a good place to eat & drink. Will definitely be going again.

The food is good quality, the portion sizes are decent and so are the prices. The service is great. Thank you to the waitress for providing some entertainment to my son, he loved it!

We received a friendly welcome - it was very busy. Our orders were taken pretty quickly. The starters came out in a reasonable time and were okay. The mains of which everyone ordered Sunday roasts, took ages to come and when they did were very average. The turkey was nice but the pork was dry and the beef was inedible it was so tough and was sent back. On telling the waitress the beef was inedible, she returned to say that the people that had the beef could have free desserts. The desserts were average and portions were small. The young team of serving staff were doing their best but the food was very average and we won't be rushing back.

Food was excellent, traditional home cooked pub grub

First time visit as a party of 6 for Sunday lunch, no tables available in restaurant so we were seated in the bar area, which was clean and very pleasant. The staff were very friendly. There was plenty of choice on the Sunday menu, unlike a lot of places which only offer a roast dinner and one or two alternatives. Food arrived without too much of a wait, it was well presented and hot, everyone was happy with their choice. This pub is a rare find, prices are very reasonable for both food and drink, there is plenty of car park space, and they have a heated marquee area for extra seating if the inside is fully booked. Definitely worth another visit if we return to the area.

Very disappointed with the service and food. We’ve eaten here many times in the past and been happy, but on this occasion food was poor, not hot and everything was over cooked. Meat was tough. When asked by a member of staff when she eventually collected our plates, was everything ok? I replied not up to the usual standard and not very warm I got ignored. It was a shame because we’d booked to take my elderly parents as a treat as both are in very poor health and it was a huge let down to be honest. Not sure I’ll return anytime soon, & that’s a shame. Not sure what’s changed here but standards are definitely not as good as in the past.

Lovely restaurant. Unpretentious, relaxed with quality food, an interesting menu, all beautifully cooked. The only problem was the bread with the Wild Boar Terrine was burnt which has knocked a star off. We'll definitely go back.

Wonderful food, and the service was exemplary. I shall definitely be returning. I spent £50+ pounds, but that included wine and dessert.

Wednesday 14th August 2024, My husband and I went to meet our friends Valerie and Bill and to go for lunch at the ‘The Tap House’ pub at Hartlebury near Kidderminster. My husband and I arrived a little early. On site is the ‘Hartlebury Brewery’, a micro brewery which started life in 2018 and produces beers for the pub and also has a shop selling local beers and ciders. My husband and I visited the shop and we purchased six bottles of ‘Hartlebury’ Bitter and 6 bottles of local ciders brewed in and around the area for the bargain price of thirty pounds. We stowed these into the car until later when we can sample these goodies. We then met Valerie and Bill in the car park of ‘The Tap House’ at twelve thirty. We then went into the pub restaurant which was once the old train station and has been loving turned into a very light and airy restaurant. We were seated at a nice table for four on this lovely hot August day. The table was laid with shiny cutlery and glasses and had white napkins. The waitress brought us the menus, which we took some time to peruse and then we ordered our food and drinks. Valerie had the beer battered fish and chips, which she said was really nice. My husband and I had the ‘Blade of Beef’ which was served with Dauphine garlic potatoes and mixed vegetables and gravy, the beef just melted in the mouth. Bill had the steak and ale pie which was served with peas and golden chips, which he said was really nice. The food when it arrived was well presented and served piping hot. We washed all this lovely food down with a pint of ‘IPA’ bitter for Bill, a pint of ‘IPA’ bitter for My husband, tap water for Valerie and I had a pint of ‘Rattler Mango’ cider, which was really refreshing. We all had desserts; Bill had the chocolate orange brownie served with vanilla ice cream. My husband had the apple and blackberry crumble served with creamy custard. Valerie had the honeycomb cheesecake. I had the white chocolate and raspberry roulade served with single cream. The desserts were delicious and the perfect finish to our meals. We did not bother with teas or coffees afterwards, as we were all well fed and very content. This was our first visit here and we were very pleased and will return at some point in the not too distant future.

This is by far the worst place I eaten in how I get good reviews for food unbelievable

Came here for Sunday lunch with friends that we had been visiting ...we all had the Sunday lunch...my husband and friend had the beef and it was terrible ..spoke to the waitress she changed it for pork which again was terrible ...no body seemed interested so friend spoke to a male waitress he said he would speak with manager ..when bill came they had knocked one meal off the bill which was fair enough...when I went to pay the bill the waitress asked if everything had been ok for us to which I replied not really but there was no come back at all ...the waitresses in our opinion need some customer service training cause not one of them have any at all ..very disappointing won't return

Went here for lunch yesterday. It's situated right next to the Hartlebury train station. There is a large car park at the back of the pub. We sat in the bar by the window and ordered some whitebait and soup and Chicken and Chicken Curry for mains. Outside the pub across from the main door are more tables and there is a smoking area too. We ordered our food and drinks and it wasn't too long before the starters arrived. Food was very well presented and tasted lovely. The curry had plenty of chicken and the naan bread was in small round bites. Food was lovely and well presented too. What was interesting is that although we were sat next to the train station, the noise from the trains was very quiet and out meal was undisturbed. Very lovely place that we will visit again and I would suggest that anyone in the area needs to try it out

Waitress service always a plus. Food and drinks served promptly. Tasty food. Atmosphere relaxed. Always a pleasure to visit.

Highly recommended the mains, the blade of beef was simply to die for ! The food came quickly and efficiently. All other 9 mains looked delicious and everyone commented on how nice they were, will definitely be returning! The only down fall was the puddings all bar one were pretty terrible, chocolate fondant was an over cooked chocolate cake and the shop brought alternatives weren’t much better (but the roulade did look wonderful). But because the main was so amazing I just dealt with it. Must try you won’t regret it!

Can't recommend the food high enough, great quality, large portion size, very tasty all and served quickly. Staff are very attentive and friendly. Make sure you book a table as it gets very busy

Nice place . We took my wife’s parents out for lunch . The food we had was very nicely presented. Chips were the worst part , staff could smile a bit more and the boom boom music from kitchen was a little irritating. Otherwise we enjoyed it , Thankyou .

Always great food and real ales. A nice venue with lots of atmosphere and ample parking with an overflow carpark available. There is a bar and a large restaurant, if these are full there is still the option of using the heated marquee. Our favourite local, highly recommended 👌

June 2024 We stopped off here Friday for lunch. An absolutely delightful place. We chose 2 mains from the set menu £15 for 2. All Mains and Desserts are very reasonably priced. Very good service too. Lovely spacious pub with plenty of seating outside. What was also great here there was no music in the restaurant area, so we could converse really well without having to compete with background music, just the happy hubbub sound of voices and laughter. We will certainly be returning 👍!

Dreadful experience, having told them about my severe intolerence to bell peppers, and change in meal choice as chicken had bell peppere (it didn't) I was given an alternative meal with side salad which contained lots of bell peppers!! Finally recieved food which was cold, and barely edible. They did take my meal of the bill but would not return as I could not trust them. My friends meal however was delicous. Just think they need extra training regarding food intolerences.

Would honestly advise anyone to avoid. Waitresses were rude & unhelpful, huffing and puffing and rolling their eyes when asked for a table, not to mention their swearing & bad attitude. All of them seemed miserable, unprofessional & like they didn't want to be there. Made to feel very uncomfortable, couldn't wait to get out of this place, food was awful but after a long day & being unable to find anywhere else open, I guess it was somewhat better than nothing. Worst meal & dining experience (if you can even call it that) that I've had. Absolutely no atmosphere to the place, depressing and sad to say the least. The only good thing about the place was the friendly and polite bar man. I am never one to leave a bad review for a business, but i genuinely would not feed that food to my dog, and if I tried he would likely refuse to eat it.

Excellent all round. Staff are amazing, hard working and friendly. The food is absolutely fantastic and the drinks are so reasonably priced. This is a little gem and on our door step, we will be returning. Thank you for a lovely after afternoon, Jason , Debbie and Dean 😀😀😀😀

Excellent beer. Didnt get to eat as we missed the kitchen which closes at 8pm, we arrived 8 20 but had some local beer. Atmosphere was great. Early closing time of 9pm compared to other pubs but well worth a visit.

Delicious food, served by attentive waiting staff. Portions were generous and although very busy, arrived in a reasonable time.

Wonderful evening, the place was packed, but everything was fine, Wonderful atmosphere and very friendly staff,the food was amazing, everything was cooked to perfection, and very generous portion sizes, we also thought that the prices were very good, for what we got,definitely recommend the wild boar starter, and the blade of beef main.

Well this was a pleasant surprise for a new venue to us. Four of us booked for an early lunch today (midday booking), they don’t open until midday so it was empty when we arrived but very busy by the time we left. We know why it is busy because the food was excellent as was the local beer (Hooker APA). Admittedly, we only had burger meals which were the best we had tasted in some time and the final bill was also a pleasant surprise. We will definitely return.

We went to the Tap House to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary, thinking we could have a nice meal. Oh the disappointment!! Food was ok once it arrived! To be honest the main course only arrived after we asked for the bill, for a soft drink that we had had and the starter. We sat after the starter was cleared away for over 45 minutes. We know they were fairly busy but there were still a few empty tables. Don’t they serve customers in rotation as the orders are taken? We asked a waiter about our main course. He went off, but we never got a response. We then asked for the bill, this time the waiter shot into the kitchen, out came our main meals served on stone cold plates. It felt as if they were plonked on the table in front of us. I contacted the Tap House via email when we got home, they haven’t had the decency to reply. This was on the 10/02/24 we are writing this on the 12/02/24.

The light lunches are delicious and plentiful. The young man who served us was polite ,friendly and helpful. The ambience is great. It was very busy, but lovely diners, didn’t wait long for food. Very reasonably priced too! My cousin & I have been a few times and have always had very tasty meals. We’re already booking to come back at the end of March. Thank you to all the staff. 😀

Excellent tap house with good selection of ales. The bar and restaurant area is modern and comfortable. There is an overflow car park at the back as it can get busy.

One of my favourite pubs and it never disappoints. Great food at a reasonable price, lovely relaxed atmosphere and the staff are amazing. Can't wait until I'm over that way to visit again. We'll done all concerned.

Excellent food at very reasonable prices.Best fish and chips and faggots we have had, Varied and excellent menu plenty for vegetarians as well. They offer lighter lunches which are excellent value for money.

Enjoyed a great meal at The Tap House today with friends. Service was prompt and food was excellent. Enjoyed choices of scampi, fish and steak from the 2 for £14 menu. The sticky toffee pudding was delicious. Staff were kept busy as lots of people were enjoying the lunch service but food and drinks were served promptly. Highly recommend and will definitely be back.

First time coming here and it was amazing. Lovely home cooked food, the four cheese lasagne was the nicest I've ever had. The staff were lovely too and very efficient. We will be returning again soon.

Nice popular place for a meal. Good food with a fair range of dishes. Can eat inside or outside under cover. One start down as my lemon chicken was rather over done, still okay but not the best..
