Came today with family a group of us, in all fairness the sitting area in the middle we did not realize was the restaurants. We had bought our own pop for the children, a man came over and loudly told us were not allowed our own drinks or food and pointed to the sign on the table. The children were then playing with a ball which accidently hit the marquee (not hard) the same man shouted at them so everybody could hear, I turned to ask what he said to them and he said the marquee is hired and not theirs so to be mindful - we apologised. My glass of water with ice in had lipstick all around the rim it was filthy, my partner took it back and the guy behind the bar just snatched it and gave a clean glass with fresh water, no apologies or anything. The whole time we was there the man that first approached us was sat on the benches smoking with some ladies and kept looking over at us, or kept walking past looking at us, whole time we was there we was being watched like hawks absolutely pathetic. The atmosphere was vile. I've never known anything like it. Can't comment on food as we had already ate before we came as we didn't know there was a restaurant but the food being bought out to others looked nice. But atmosphere wise the staff member needs sorting out. The attitude on him was disgusting. Not professional in the slightest.

Visited Evesham and walked the circular Evesham walk and came across this hidden gem. We sat in the garden which is for customers only, which overlooks the River Avon and the hand pulled pedestrian ferry. The two panninis were very generous with fillings, and served with side salads, and the Choca Mocha and Americano were spot on. All of that for £21. Would definitely visit again, and to be honest, I'd be inclined to park there to start my walk around Evesham.

Visited for breakfast. Decided in the large breakfast for £9. Sat outside on the benches. Beautiful location right on the river. Was so looking forward to a lovely hearty English breakfast next to the beautiful countryside. Sadly despite a gorgeous view and a friendly reception the food was dreadful. I absolutely love a breakfast / brunch but this was the worst I’ve had in years. All of the food had black bits on (but wasn’t well done so can only presume cooked on a dirty grill), the grilled tomato was hard (with black bits on) and tasteless, the sausage was dry and tasteless, and the worst part of all was the mushrooms. They seemed to be tinned mushrooms fried. They looked like snails, and totally inedible. Finally coffee was weak and tasteless. Despite the beautiful location will not be returning. Sorry the food is awful.

We visited Rafaels today intending to have a picnic lunch plus a portion of chips and a drink. However it turned quite chilly so having ordered the chips and drinks we wondered if we could eat them plus our sandwich indoors or at one of their outside picnic tables. There was no one in the restaurant nor at the outside tables. No was the rather rude reply. There are two benches down by the river that you can use. We could not talk to each other, there were five of us, as the benches were too far apart. We are in our eighties and they couldn’t over look their rule with literally no one inside or out. We could have perhaps understood the rule for inside but all those tables outside not being used!, We have been there many times over the years but never again! Unbelievable!!

Great spot for a sandwich and coffee. Fantastic location right near the river and directly located by the ferry crossing. Masses of open space in front and plenty of tables. Sensibly some are none smoking however a few, clearly marked are for smokers. Few plants outside for sale at very reasonable prices. Coffee, tea and a Mocha were hot and well made. Sandwiches were clearly made to order on fresh, sliced bread that made things soft and really enjoyable. A bacon sandwich for 3 quid? Good value in the past of the world I normally frequent. I’m not a burger aficionado by any means but I’d rate this one of the best I’ve ever eaten. It was 6oz of beef, cooked to perfection and served with cheese and bacon in a brioche bun with freshly cooked chunky chips. Absolutely delicious. Highly recommended.

My 3 year old son was playing in the fenced space this afternoon, a man came over and said 'they are screaming too loud it's not a public park'. I then replied we'll take the kids to the other side of the fenced area then so they can scream as loud as they want'. No mention of climbing on tables or walking on flowers was mentioned by him and he did not advise us to leave- I said we would. If he had told us politely that the children were climbing on furniture or walking In the flowers we would have ensured they stopped. Very rude in the way he spoke to us, and if I was to see my son climbing on the furniture or on the plants then I'd be the first to tell him to stop!

Not family freindly at all , was sat in the garden deciding what we wanted to eat and drink while the kids were playing . Owner came over and spoke to us very rudely with an awful tone. He then said the kids were too loud and implied for us to leave they were playing outside with no other poeple in the garden wernt bothering anyone . So we left before ordering. Have spent fortunes in the past having partys there and all sorts, wont be using the place again . And FYI in response to your reply - none of the children went near any plants or climbed on any tables if they would of we as their parents would of been the first too tell them to stop our children are a bit loud and excitable but do not behave like animals .

Popped in today for some food with family. A little disappointed the hot menu we had seen online (fish and chips etc) didn't seem to be on, and the menu we had consisted of baguettes or jacket potatoes. That said, the baguettes we had were beautifully presented with Side Salad and delicious coleslaw. The jacket potatoes were huge, as was the bowl of nachos. Certainly could not complain we were hungry after! Lovely location, plenty of parking, and a nice river walk, with the ferry close to hand. Will be beautiful in the summer months.

I had the BIGGEST breakfast here and have to start by saying it was exceptional value for money for what I had. There was a steady flow of people, mostly cyclists coming to visit and in summer this place has a setting like to other to sit outside by the river. However, when we arrived the staff were sitting out the front smoking on the front step which didn't make for a very welcome approach, and the service was basic - we approached the bar to order and it took a while for someone to take the order despite the lack of people there when we first arrived. We all loved our meals, and when we did get food it was hot, big portions and the kids adored their pancakes. Would see definitely recommend coming here for a roast or a fry up, but it's more on the side of greasy spoon than upmarket restaurant. (To be clear, this isn't a complaint, I personally prefer this laid back atmosphere but it wasn't quite what I had initially expected.)

Have visited Raphael 's on numerous occasions for the Sunday carvery. Due to lock down and illness not been for some time. Went today, no carvery. OK, well the food is always great......... NO... Roast beef, fresh veg, Yorkshire etc ordered. I am not a picky eater, but I couldn't cut the beef, poor roast potatoes, withered burned parsnips, and bland leeks. I had to ask for steak knife to cut the beef In the end I gave up and discreetly asked for beef to be exchanged for turkey. When it came back with a lovely couple slices of turkey, they'd soaked it in gravy. A total waste of money. Very disappointing, as this is a lovely restaurant, with great staff. What's gone wrong.

We visited the restaurant today. Now this review is a tricky one. I’d say we probably do this once a year because it’s in the middle for us location wise. I’d say today was ok. Firstly we sat down with 2 kids, no kids menus offered and when I asked was told they had none printed. So I just ordered the first things she said. Secondly the guy who served us (blue hair) was kind of rude and abit abrupt. But was nice enough, almost as if he had better things to do! At first my Dad didn’t notice this, but upon ordering another round of drinks and deserts he did and agreed with me that he was abit rude! The food. 2 grilled salmon! Great reviews! Myself and hubby had just the chicken baguette. What a shame was nice, but far too much Mayo (I had to scrape it off my coleslaw and the spicy Mayo from my baguette (and I love Mayo) just honestly far too much! Sadly! So have come home feeling like I’ve eaten a jar of Mayo, bit icky in my tummy! But I was so hungry I most of it! Kids nuggets were like the chicken balls u get at a chines! Like deep fat fried in batter! Great big balls. Really crispy! Not nuggets! My daughter didn’t like them and my son wouldn’t touch them! So shame! Making your money on the sticky toffee pudding as the ice cream was nice but the cake itself was like a 99p cake shop bought! So that was disappointing! As it was £5.25 Overall spent £73 for the 5 of us. So let down by a couple of things there. But will i come back yes I probably will next year. 😀

We read the reviews for Raphael’s and decided to buy two takeaway breakfasts. We paid for a Full Monty and a small breakfast. The Full Monty was missing the black pudding, with both breakfasts the hash browns and bacon were undercooked, the mushrooms ruined by deep frying (?) and the toast was very thin sliced supermarket (?) bread. The Full Monty in particular was very expensive at nearly £10. The only good thing was the pats of real butter. It would have been better if the baked beans had been served in a separate containers as we have had with much cheaper takeaways. As we returned to our campsite to eat our breakfasts, we were unable to return to make a complaint.

Used The Bell for an overnight stay after a day at Cheltenham races. It has turned out to be a little gem and we will definitely use it again. The room was ok but the highlight was the restaurant and pub. Our food was great and the central fireplace lovely.

Excellent food and excellent service , Ales brewed on site , could not fault it in any way . A querky venue tastefully converted from an old railway station.
